I read Exiles and I don't think he did change much in his initial appearances, but I didn't read New Exiles so he may have changed some in that. If they did give us two heads though....would we really want a Kingpin situation and get two BAF? Unrelated note: Having fun read the "any OMG moments left over on Fwoosh." I don't post on Fwoosh so I thought I'd hijack that title and ask the question here. It's NOT for an entire wishlist of everything you want to see, but what are your top handful of figures or sets Hasbro could reveal that could give you an "OMG" thrill? For me, it's Firestar, FA Storm, and a Hellfire Club box set (Or just Selene on her own of course). |

I saw this online: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-6-In...4AAOSwrL9dz3eW.
Looks like the old Deadpool? I dunno. |

@ captain Nash.
Great question. In the past, Medusa, Polaris, Disco Dazzler. It's usual the females for me, as the ratio makes the male figures more likely. With males, Nighthawk was my thank god. This year my most, whaaaat?! Was with the Karma head and the Alpha Flight set. Like excitement out of my chair, waking up the neighbourhood. Or something like that. It's no secret that I am dying for a Jocasta. I will get a whole army. No-one will find one because I will have them all. I have loads of the eaglemoss figure. I always liked her because she was an outcast within the Avengers, I love robots, Greek mythology, and George Perez designs. She basically ticks all my boxes. Marrina is another one I'm very dissapointed was not on the AF set. I really don't need another Puck, and I don't care about scale too much. A good sculpt normally gets me. I just cannot see how, or if, will she ever be released. Thou I loved the original AF comics where her story was key. I also love femme fatales, so when Satana was announced I was whaaaat? To the point I have three. But would love to see a classic one. Lilith, daughter of Dracula is another one. I loved all the black and white horror stuff in Bizarre Adventures etc. Sexy lady. On the male department. Safari Wonderman and Gargoyle are my top two. Also classic Guardians. Yondu, Starhawk and Martinex. But poor Martinex won't happen as is a totally unique sculpt. Maybe if they do Prism from the Marauders. My oh wow used to be Swordsman, Mantis, Crystal, lockjaw and the other Inhumans, but after the movies, tv shows, and random weird villains I can all see them all done. Oh and my biggest one would probably the Female red Guardian, Tanya Belinksky, just because I don't think she'll ever happen. But you never know. My apologies for the long answer Nash, but I'm celebrating I'm gonna be a grandfather, which is a shock, and never though it would happen. Now I know who my inheritor will be. Now that's the best Legend for me. Everything else is cherry on top. |
Outside of a New Warriors and the classic remnants of some T-Bolts teams, the sets I want are mostly of villain teams: U-Foes, Hellfire Club, Frightful Four, Brotherhood, and Squadron Supreme (not really villains, but they have pretty much functioned as such).
However - this is some of the reason I find these wish-list jaunts exhausting - the expanded list is nearly infinite: -Heralds of Galactus Box -Inhumans Box -Eternals Box -Warriors Three Box -Zodiac Box -Champions Box -Pantheon Box -Annihilators Box -StarJammers -Beta Flight Box ...it quickly gets out of control and every few months we go into a new spin on the same old "what would you want?" ....well, everything...D'oh. :PBJ |

There were so many OMG moments this year - but most of it was stuff I knew had to be coming eventually - Nightcrawler, Sinister, JL Storm, I just didn't think they'd come until 2020. Moonstar was long rumored but the fact you (can) get 3 unique characters with that release was super cool. But I think my biggest OMG moments were the Alpha Flight set, after last year's disappointment of seeing a new figure of an existing character, we got almost the whole main team!!! And the other was the reveal of the AOA wave for next year, which was no where on my radar a year ago but is easily the most anticipated thing for 2020. Edit: TBM: "...it quickly gets out of control and every few months we go into a new spin on the same old "what would you want?" ....well, everything...D'oh. " Yup.:p It's too easy to do. I just thought the original thread was neat because it was like asking what figures are left that really have a "wow" factor. But everyone's going to be wowed by mostly different things. But it's been that way the last few years too for reveals and that's not a bad thing. The deluge of figures allows plenty of people to be blown away by certain and different figures, and also allows all but the completist to pass on plenty as well. I think the trend will continue. |
^ No worries, I wasn't 'bah-humbugging'. I just think it goes without saying that Marvel fans want everything, I sure do! And who you calling a completist, Willis? I'll have you know that I DO NOT collect MCU figs...well, outside of Black Panther, GotG, and Dr. Strange...and Netflix figs...;)

My Alpha Flight set arrived today. While my feelings on the final product are mixed, I have a quick question for you eagle-eyed Arkers. Are the legs on Snowbird and Aurora new? It's subtle, but the sculpting is different from any other female characters I have.

Edit I think it's Snowbird that may have the new legs along with Jean. At first, I thought Jean's legs were retools with pouches, but they also appear to have a different shape and slightly dulled and doughy muscle tone. Aurora and the new Emma have the same legs and Wanda has Moonstone's legs. Best I can tell... |
For no notice of imminent arrival, this was a nice surprise today

This brings me to a total of three...but I still want more...

I got my Alpha Flight set in the mail. Overall I like it, but as people have been saying, there are totally some qc issues. Aurora has a totally stuck right elbow joint. I tried heating and freezing it, no luck. Not the end of the world but it still bugs me. Her right leg is also super loose on the ball joint/top part. But otherwise, I'm happy to now have a pretty solid Alpha Flight line up

I got the Bro Thor Valkyrie today. Fantastic figure and likeness to Tessa Thompson. My only gripes are the Cape and she has trouble standing up.

For me, there's the exact tight/loose joint issue you mention (especially with the female characters). Mine also have some really poor paint apps. The twins have random black specks on the white parts of their costumes. The red on Vindicator is not sharp at all anywhere. The "P" on Puck is also fuzzy, like it's been unintentionally weathered. Then there's Shaman...sigh...I may have to entirely repaint his shoulders and back. On the plus side, the heads are (for the most part) excellent. The face sculpts are perfect, and the paint is well applied. I think a little more thought could have been given to Vindicator's design/execution, but other than that, the heads are awesome. Even the subtle shading on Puck's arms/legs to make them look "hairy" works for me. Maybe I just got a bad set, but I'm not about to waste the effort trying to return it and get a replacement from Amazon since that one could be just as bad, or worse. Sure, I know all the tricks to loosen/tighten joints. I'm also fairly adept at touching up paint apps. I just don't feel I should have to. Again, I'm super glad to have these characters. I'm just taken aback at the poor QC. I guess I just don't feel I quite got my money's worth, and that's always a bummer. |
Definite works in progress. Still haven't decided if I'm going to continue on with a matching Magma & Wolfsbane....oh, who am I kidding, I prepping parts in my mind already...
That aside, with this release, Dani Moonstar is definitely planted firmly in my top Marvel Legends of the year. Such a great figure after such an extended release. The customization potential's just icing on top. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...716b70de_c.jpg |
At the risk of sounding like I'm engaging in a moment of schadenfreude, I'm cheered that both of my Alpha Flight sets are free of any of the issues I've been reading about here...
