They should have been packaged together and then the running change could have been the spider island variants when they swap powers.

Bmorr, was right. I went to Target just 10 minutes ago and found a Dagger on the pegs. Of course I just paid for her from China for $19. The only other new figure there was Baron Zemo. No A-bomb and worst of all no Abomination. Planning to resell Dagger for what I paid.

Apparently the person that posted that Cloak and Abomination would come out first and would be the harder figure to snag was right.

Hasbro distribution reminds me of "The Office" where Michal put the 20% tickets in boxes going to one company. I dont think the east coast will see Cloak and Abomination in stores until and if they re-release them.

BEAM got me my Abomination in a tru in Warwick, ri about a week or so ago. Also cloak is in every store I go to next to tron ironman. Zemo is around too, but because everyone wants Abomination, and some dudes want 2 to leave one moc, he's more rare. Give it time, he will surface sooner or later.

This is the first time I've had a good run finding the figures I wanted. The last time this happened was when all those variants came out a while ago, like the red Warpath and the clear Vision.
I was prolly just lucky to finally be able to find stuff on time but I hope for all of yalls sakes that they get more distributed better than we anticipate. Still haven't seen the A-Bomb Dagger wave anywhere but Targets, nor the Abomination Cloak wave anywhere at Toys r us.
Makes me feel kinda bad for not picking up extras but I think theyre still availavle on HTS.com

You can always pick up extras and hook dudes here up. I know you are trying to build up cred here, that's a great way to do it.

bmorr 10-06-2013 12:38 PM

from what i was seeing at stores here, collectors and/or scalpers have been leaving the cloak and daggers and but the a-bums would be gone.

At my local stores Blade was a peg warmer... If only I knew I didn't even pick 1 up for myself. Then they all vanished and became super rare. Makes me want to go round up the 30 or so Gladiators I could get my hands on, just in case :)

Ive done the same thing with different rare figures man, i know the feeling. Speaking of tf's, i should have been buying the classics toys back in the day rather than the alternators. Turns out i dont care about the alts but enjoy the classics toys wayyyy more. i'll end up selling my alts on day for 25-30. i dont expect to get higher than that.

montressor 10-06-2013 03:57 PM

I'm needing a dagger and A-bomb if anyone is selling. Which is harder to fund cloak or dagger /A-bomb or abomination? I got my bbts order last week with cloak and abomination. Just wanna know how my luck turned out

I bought the Classics line from the beginning cuz I liked how they looked the most like G1 versions with more articulation. I missed a few like Ramjet and got lazy and missed pretty much the whole line with Dirge and Thrust :/ I really should pick up Trailcutter(Trailbreaker) and Hoist sometime soon...

salsa4datass 10-06-2013 07:58 PM

urg. i'm so jealous of you guys finding dagger and a-bomb. still crossing my fingers that my local target will get them soon...
speaking of havoc and death mask, they were my first mu grabs when I noticed they looked different then the art. have been hooked ever since...

Did you find both of them together at the Disney Store? That's where I kept finding them. Like every Disney Store haha

I actually found mine at a walmart that at one point, was over flowing with mu. now all the walmarts within 30 miles don't carry any...

Goldengreg 10-07-2013 05:04 AM

A friend of mine is going to San Fransisco and Hawai next friday.
I'm giving him a shopping list... but I wanted to be sure.
Cloak+Abomination = TRU
Dagger = Target
is that right?
Thanks!

BEAM 10-07-2013 06:27 AM

Morning all. For some reason my email notification isn't working so I've got a bit of catching up to do.

I was ready to pass on the final wave but that Omega Red is very nice.

Chinabay? Retail? Do tell.

The body looks like a Jeremy Renner Avengers movie Hawkeye repaint. I don't know if it's a new head. I'll have mine in a few days and can post pics.

They work better as a comic pack but I agree, it would have pegwarmed hard. As it stands now, these characters have never been so popular.

I feel bad for all the young Cloak and Dagger fans. Think about the kids, man! The kids!!!!!

Totally agree, same with the Northstar and Aurora when they come out. As sad as I am to see the MU line go, hopefully when they do the rebrand they don't pull this ISH anymore:P

Yeah TRU seems to be very slow lately this past year in getting MU, and Target is always a hit and miss when they restock.

I think most of us who started late in getting MU didn't realize what we were passing up:P Heck who would have known MJ would go for 30 something as well:P

Captain Taiga 10-07-2013 10:21 AM

Foreal, I bought MaryJane on a whim cuz of my girlfriend. Wish I got a 2nd one cuz Vonner mentioned in his interview that you could use that figure for Firestar out of costume. that's why she came with Ms.Lion

Woah cool never thought of that. Vonner rules.

BEAM 10-07-2013 10:34 AM

Like any line, there is a price to pay for getitng into it late. It was always a third or fourth line in my collection behind Star Wars and GI Joe. Something always trumped it. Now with Joe and Star War winding down, and my son super crazy for Super Heroes, I find myself getting more and more MU figures. Thankfully DC hasn't come up with a quality 3.75" articulated line (although it's coming based on the SDCC report, IIRC).

So many things I wish I could have found at retail - MJ, Vision, Spidey and Amazing Friends Set, Archangel, to name a few. Nothing necessary to my collection or that I'd pay more than retail for now. Just stuff that would be nice to have.

Exodus 10-07-2013 11:02 AM

Just think I was about to get Dagger and A-Bomb off of ebay, but I finally gave into my patience:) Although Bag Head Spider-Man was one I wish I could have gotten from retail but ah well.
