Hell, I've seen weirder stuff in X-comics haha

MeLikeJinx 01-10-2020 03:40 PM

I finally finished my Apocalypse BAF... man... paying more than regular price for the final figs you need to complete your BAF years later is like the worse feeling. LOL.

Plus, I was so underwhelmed with Apocalypse... until I remembered I had his claw arm somewhere... he looks much more cool with his claw arm... I kinda feel better about it now.

One mans poor taste is another’s humor. :p

Anywho finally got hold of sinister to finish my wendigo. Once i clear some new shelf space ill build him. Probably gonna offload squatch and guardian since i have no desire to get that box set.

Also saw this pic of red guardian from the upcoming widow flick. Looks like one of the guys from duck dynasty......not really feeling it but thats just me.

There's no winning because there's no shame and no decency

On a brighter note, A new New Warriors comic with Firestar is on the way

tierneygreen 01-10-2020 05:05 PM

Took long enough, but I finally managed to acquire a few Moonstars. Four, to be exact. Between those, some randomness from my fodder bin, and some so-so painting by yours-truly, I've been able to kitbash at least all the females.

http://www.toyark.com/members/tierne...280-a-4421.jpg

I ended up custom building/painting a body for Wolfsbane. She should be noticeably shorter than the rest. There was no way to accomplish that with a factory Dani body without potentially destroying it. Besides, I only had four to work with. The torso and forearms are Retro Black Widow. The ab section, hips, and quads are X-23.

I really dig my Magma kitbash. I hope Hasbro will release an official one before too long, in her full fiery form. For now, this’ll do.

Is that the Emma head with Dagger's hair?

tierneygreen 01-10-2020 05:15 PM

It is.

Veronica Mars 01-10-2020 05:19 PM

Looks awesome, a lot like Amara's look from X-Men Gold

Nutimus Prime 01-10-2020 06:29 PM

My wife found the Demogoblin wave today so check your Walmarts.

Bo Ttef 01-10-2020 09:21 PM

Another Peni- this one with Jubilee's head and Toybiz Domino hair for a more comic look

Dr Kain 01-10-2020 10:20 PM

I went to 3 Walgreens, a Gamestop, and 2 Targets and found nada. One Walgreens had a lone Medusa. Another had 4 Namors, 1 DareDevil, and 5 Iron Man Dooms. The next Walgreens had no Marvel figures at all. Gamestop only had the Vintage X-Men wave and some of the Endgame stuff. Two Targets had lots of Wasps, some X-Men vintage guys, and some Endgame dudes.

Oh, and not a single store had anything DC related at all.

Bo Ttef 01-10-2020 11:00 PM

ion setting a lot of folks getting turned away away the register for the DC McFarlane stuff. says can't be sold until 19th

Do what I do, and if they say they're street dated, stash them somewhere til the date comes ;) Just be reasonable in what you stash and don't have a whole dragon's hoard hidden away haha

Nutimus Prime 01-11-2020 12:45 PM

I thought I'd be fine with just 1 Super Skrull but now that I see I only need a torso and leg to make another I'll have to snag those parts.

And after opening the wave, I'm still disappointed that Demogoblin was the build a figure with so many reused parts.

Lol, you even gave him a rubix cube!

Dr Kain 01-11-2020 04:10 PM

So a couple of reviewers had the new Mafex Spider-Man repaint break on them while reviewing it. That killed all my desire to get it.

Captain Nash 01-11-2020 04:30 PM

The more photos I see of the Cuckoos the less I'm interested. I know it's impossible to hide leg joints but for some reason it's really ugly on that figure.

Sweet kit-bash! Were the heads compatible? Was wondering if the Cuckoos would have the teenage ball-joint, the standard female or something new.

Went out looking for the Cuckoos, but no luck. Guess I'll give it another week until I look again. Found this guy, though instead at a Walgreen's off-the-beaten-path. Never saw this wave out in the wild.

Outside of Walgreens I'm not really sure anyone did, and even then I didn't see them at any of my local Walgreens until a decent stretch after the wave was supposed to drop.

True- those knees are horrendous in flesh tone. Wid love to see them try a better knee joint but I'll not pass up a figure over it

The Jubilee head was very tight- but still went on without needing modding or heat even.
