Spider-Man is a given Green Goblin without the scale mail limbs Mysterio repainted with the yellow or gold boots and gloves Chameleon Shocker Hobgoblin with a new glider Something like that. I'd most want Rhino but due to his size I'm not sure Hasbro would be so willing to pack him in with the rest of the figures, maybe he'd be fan channel exclusive. Edit: As far as Sandman goes, they could just put him in a regular wave. There is precedence for characters being released as both a standard figure and a BAF, Venom being an easy example. |

I'm hoping we get to see some kind of classic Sandman in the near future, especially if a retro/vintage Spider-Man wave is involved. Classic versions of Chameleon, Electro, Shocker and Jack O'Lantern (with the hovercraft this time, please) are all long overdue for new figures, a more classic looking Lizard would be great (especially not as a Build A Figure), and it'd be nice to have classic purple-and-blue suit Boomerang and some kind of Rhino (classic or armored suit) to finish up the original Sinister Syndicate comic roster. I'd also bet we get figures of the Green Goblin and some kind of Doctor Octopus (preferably with bendable wire tentacles, please) for a retro/vintage Spidey wave, considering they're arguably two of Spidey's greatest and most popular enemies.
I am genuinely shocked we didn't get a retro/vintage Spider-Man: The Animated Series toyline last year for the show's 25th anniversary year. We're getting toys based on Age of Apocalypse for its anniversary year, but Spider-Man: TAS got skipped? That's disappointing. If we did get a retro/vintage wave for Spider-Man: TAS, I'd expect to see -- - Spider-Man - Black Costume Spider-Man - Lizard - Kingpin - Doctor Octopus - Venom - Hobgoblin However, it'd also be great to see animated versions of characters like Alistair Smythe (normal or Ultimate Slayer, I'd buy either or both versions), Scorpion, Mysterio, Rhino, Shocker, Chameleon, Nick Fury, Morbius, Vulture, Green Goblin, Daredevil, Carnage, Black Cat, Captain America, Electro and the alternate reality Spider-Men from the two-part series finale. Heck, they could even make figures of the Spot, Herbert Landon and Spider-Carnage and I'd buy them up. Thanks for reading my ramblings and I hope you all are having a wonderful day. |
Score! One cuckoo yesterday at my nearby Walgreens (Dickerson and OHB for those in the area) and two just now at the one in goodletsville on my way to grocery shop. None others left over at either location. Glad this was not nearly as painful as the Dani search
|
Congratulations on finding your Cuckoos, Nash! My local Walgreens have changed their toy section and a lot of what they had in stock are gone. A lot of Marvel Legends are peg-warmers from a year or two ago and I haven't even seen a Cuckoo in my local Walgreens. Then again, I don't think my local Walgreens ever got Dani or the Thing either. Hope you're having a great day, Nash!

I have my 3, but have seen them all over since then. They shouldn’t be hard to find like Dani.

See, I had no problem finding Dani, picking up five on the first day I went looking (admittedly, from five different locations, but still). Magik and Mystique were the same story, with the first Walgreens I checked having a few copies the first time I went looking for each. (I assume this is true everywhere, but Philly is still swimming in Magiks, if anyone needs one.) I didn't see an Emma in-store until very recently, well after I threw in the towel and traded one of the aforementioned Danis for her, and I've yet to see a single Cuckoo despite vigorous searching.

Ive seen neither moonstar no the cuckoos. I only picked up emmas because a comic shop had a sale so i got to ems for 25.

Picked up my third Cuckoo today at Walgreens tonight. Thanks to all in the Middle TN area for mentioning that you were finding them locally. I had picked up two yesterday and considered getting all three last night but I didn't want to go up to the register with a stack of school girl figures. It just felt weird. Thankfully the third was still waiting for me.

Ok guys I completely admit I do not understand modern toys as well as I do the old series stuff from my childhood. Everyone seems high on the Marvel Legends but I don't understand if there are different scales or just one larger scale (I prefer smaller scale like old TMNT or Toybiz X-men from the 90's scale as they take up less room). So I get BAF's are combos of multiple pieces gained from getting multiple figures from a series some of the BAF's are cool but wouldn't want the figures I'm less into. Basically I'm a huge X-Men fan and collect the old Toybiz figures from the 90's. I'd consider getting some marvel legends X-Men but have been confused by some looking more comic and some being Toybiz style figures like the ones in the attached photos. Are there only a few of these or is there a whole series of Toybiz themed X-Men figures for Legends? Looking to maybe get core characters (Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Jubilee, Jean Grey, Magneto, Sinister, Juggernaut, Sabertooth, Colossus, Iceman, Archangel/Angel, Bishop, Cable, Nightcrawler, Pyro, Blob, Avalanche, Mystique, Havok) Basically old favs from the show and comics. Can some toysplain me what is going on here and possibly point me to a resource where I can see these figures.....Thanks so much! Pictures and suggestions are most welcome!
