Been a while since I've seen one of these...so I thought this would lighten the mood a bit.
Feel kinda sorry for the poor Malekith figure that was sacrificed to make this BAF swap possible...as well as the poor unknowing consumet who is going to be undoubtedly fooled because this ended up hitting the shelf again shortly after I pointed it what was wrong with it to an employee. Quote:

New ML Spidey & FF toys are $30 at GameStop, which is absurd even for it.

He can stand, but his posing with that foot/leg are limited. |
Well, I'm done arguing minimum wage. Yes, I've read BOOKS on the topic and could go on and on, but this isn't the place, and it technically tip-toes on pissing off Mods, which isn't my first choice either.
Anyhoo…. Looking forward to picking up Venom and painting him into a Movie venom. Will look amazing. Diamond Select's Disney store exclusive Venom will remain my shelf's Venom. |
I generally like the look of the Venom repaint but my favorite look for Venom has always just been the original so I'm leaning towards passing on this one in favor of seeing someone like Kingpin or Rhino who's always been big.

Empirical research is the most reliable source for unvarnished information. Books that offer no case study often function as long op-eds and represent far more opinion than fact. If you can't access research, or the material is too dense for the average layperson, then scholarly texts that offer discussion and citation of empirical studies are generally where you want to go if you intend to have an erudite discussion about these matters.
Review the research, it makes a liar of the notion that raising the minimum wage will result in a sustained increase in the cost for goods and services - there has been a notation of a temporary spike with sudden and large wage increases, but the costs usually revert, in time. With a phased/gradual increase in wages, there isn't even a temporary spike. It isn't exactly a mystery as to why companies that seek to export jobs abroad, taking advantage of slave-wages (always found that term to be disingenuous - slaves don't make wages to my knowledge - just sayin'), might want to convince the citizenry here that raising the living wage would bankrupt them...what is perplexing is why the average schmoe would be inclined to side against their own interests and align with organizations that would love to pay them sweatshop rates. |

I think I prefer the colors on the BAF version of Venom because in my mind whenever Venom was this big hulking monster it was Mac Gargan under the suit. There are instances of Eddie bulking out but typically he's not much bigger as Venom than his natural state. |
For those who did not know the wal-mart exclusive Widow is up.

Hi All,
I realize this is a long shot, but is anyone in the Chicago area willing to trade me a Walgreens Thing for either the new Dr. Doom or Walgreens Dani Moonstar? Thanks! |

Hey all. Haven't popped in for a bit. The Venom re-release looks cool. I might not buy it, but its great for people who missed the first one. I got a Cosmic Ghost Rider last week. He's AWESOME! I love his bike too. It looks fantastic! I tried to buy Squirrel Girl too, but Gamestop said they weren't allowed to sell her which was very weird. Sorry if I posted about this before. Things have been busy so my head has been in a bunch of places. I might try to pick up Squirrel Girl again, but I'm thinking I might wait until she hits a discount price. She's not someone I NEED on my shelf, and making her cost more for a scooter that I'll never display is annoying too. Anyway, I hope everyone else is doing well!

I Think some Marvel Legends Figures need a redo, here are some examples:
Abomination (Classic Comic version) Needs to be as big as the SDCC Vintage Hulk. Absorbing Man (Purple Pants) Needs to be on a standard body. Sandman (Classic Comic Version) Needs to be on a standard body. |
Quote:
Abomination seems like the problematic one because of the new sculpting required. It's not a ton of work but Hasbro often prefers the lazier route. |
Why not remake the Abomination as a deluxe figure? The legs just need to be longer so he can appear taller.
