Dammit Gamestop! I'm disappointed but not entirely surprised that the Cosmic Ghost Rider I ordered from them a couple of weeks ago was cancelled. What's mainly upsetting is that at the time it was 20% off and now it's back at full price. From what I've seen online he looks like he's worth full price but still there's the matter of principles, they said they had it in stock and on sale. Eh, I'm sure in the long run CGR won't be too hard to nab.

Sounds like your typical 'bait and switch'. More Gamestop shenanigans, or is Hasbro's distribution ineptitude striking again?
I know that when I asked after Cosmic Rider a week or so ago, the Gamestop employee I spoke with said it had been de-listed/discontinued (or some such...paraphrasing). He remarked that a similar occurrence happened with vintage Storm (which I remember) and, of course, I'm still waiting for my Doom order to be filled - I got every fig of the wave except for Doom from my GS order...fortunately, my case was finally delivered from Dorkside, but I'm still left with a couple of incomplete Super Skrulls. Feels like game playing on GameStop's part, but there may be another explanation. |

I'm still waiting on my Doom from Gamestop as well! I even cancelled my preorder at BBTS, which was obviously was the wrong move :p Doom's missed 5 promised ETA's so far for me, I'm wondering if Gamestop had a ton of preorders and didn't secure nearly enough from Hasbro? |

Dorkside has this frustrating method in which you don't get 'fill' or 'ship' notifications for the secondary or tertiary parts of orders. I didn't become aware that the order was being filled until I saw the hit on my bank account. At that point, still waiting on Doom, I said eff'it, let her ride - I'll just have extras; I like the wave that much. I'll keep you posted as to whether GS fills my Doom order. I'll need the BAF leg, but, as good a fig as it is, I don't really need a second Doom. If you haven't received yours by then, I can hook you up... |

Keep checking Walmarts. I ran into a full case last week. I didn't need anything as I have Doom and She-Hulk already. I also saw another full case of Spider-man. Bought Shang-Chi and canceled my pre-orders. I am very happy with all 3 figures. Would have preferred a blast effect for Doom instead of a 2nd head. She-Hulk is very well done. Her facial expression is perfect. I like all the hand options for Shang-Chi. Wish he came with a staff and/or other weapons. Need to buy more stands.

Targets and Walgreens around here have been getting the FF and Spidey waves. Nothing at Walmart yet.

Anyone else order the comic Widows from Walmart and Target respectively? What's the over/under on them being delivered on time??? ;)
I ordered both, but admit to looking forward far more to the grey version. Although I don't see it retiring my original grey Widow/Bucky 2 pack due in large part to the jacket. While I know she wore the jacket with her grey costume, on occasion, I prefer the Widow design on the back being prominently displayed - even if many illustrators were too lazy to draw it much of the time. I'm not super excited by the body molds (they keep changing it - the Vintage is suitable) and I really only want the heads, but maybe my opinion will change when I have them in hand. |
Anyone having luck finding one of the figures that have the Super Skrull head? didnt find the head piece at Walmart last week so I assume ill have to check out a Gamestop shop or Target

Having seen Thing in person plentifully though I'm reaffirmed in questioning why Hasbro put so little effort into this version. The new head sculpt is good on its own merits but half of the ones I saw had sloppy eyes and then in general this figure's paint deco doesn't do the rest of the figure justice. I want to clarify that I don't think this a bad toy at all because I love the Walgreens version and it really is technically the same toy but when comparing the two it's no contest which one Hasbro put more effort into. |

Thanks for sharing that video Ultra Seven. Not a lot we don't already know except maybe the Captain Marvel wave which is very surprising. We already have so many waves this year, why they would plug that one in as well is a weird choice. Then again we had the second black panther wave about a year after the first one. It takes time to make figures and as the movie was more successful than expected they'd want to capitalize off of that.

Unless it's Von Strucker, the Fenris twins (dead, or otherwise), or a new MODOK (as an ancillary adjunct to HYDRA) then I think Hasbro's jumped the shark for HYDRA related figs. Same goes for Tony Stark. I'll take another suit-body, but how many iterations of the character are necessary? His civilian figs are approaching the number of armors we've gotten. HYPERBOLE
Marvel video game figures, even as a former heavy-gamer, don't really move the needle for me and, apparently, nor do they for many other people based on feedback for the offerings from the Demogoblin wave. If their goal is to profit from comic/game cross-pollination, then Marvel messed up in severing ties with Capcom. That said, I might get a Miss Marvel - the last one was a little too 'meh' and left me wanting a better version. The other stuff has been beaten dead here and elsewhere and only the excitement of their retail release will rekindle my interest...looking at you Stong Guy and X-Man I'll take any Hulk, but an entirely new sculpt for Fixit is what I really want and I believe they might actually deliver...but what do I know? I'm all over The Leader and hope they provide multiple heads for Sterns. The Eternals are the only real point of information that I'm interested to hear and see more about. However, only the canonical line-up, which likely entails waiting until after the MCU figs...then again, FF did see a full comic wave before any theatrical debut. ...and I'd enjoy a well done Captain Marvel, but would prefer a Cancerverse berth. |
Marvelous News had an article listing off upcoming waves and I have to say that if true, I'm going to be saving a lot of money this year as right now the only wave I care about is the Deadpool one with the Strong Guy BAF.
I have no interest in Age of Apocalypse, the video game wave, something called Gray Beast, and these Iron Man variants coming out. Hopefully at Toy Fair Hasbro will reveal a regular X-Men wave and a Spider-Man wave. |
"Something called Gray Beast"... yeesh :p
I will say that, if the Walgreens rumors are true, I'll be able to relax - after stressing about these last few offerings, IM 2020 and classic Moon Knight are not on my radar. |

Are there any other color Iron Man translucent blast effect parts? I think there is a greenish one, but I can't figure out which figure it came with, if it even exists.
