I feel like we haven't seen all the reveals yet for Legends. I expect a few more to come out today. Maybe some Spider-Man ones.

Yeah, when the initial Abomination came out I mentioned that while the sculpt was great, the scale was a problem and that it would be especially so if a new 'properly' sized Hulk was created. My comments were largely dismissed here as scale-obsessed and a huge debate ensued.

It's interesting to see some of the Abomination comments now, but the point of what I'm saying isn't retread or 'I told you so'...my mind's eye of Rage had him matching, or (at least) approaching the height and size of Warpath. While I'm grateful for the fig, it's one I've been vocal about wanting, I'm not super-enthusiastic about it being on what looks to be the Hyperion body. I'll take it, as I did modern Beta Ray, but both of those figs (Rage and Bill) will likely see calls for remakes in the near future.

And Mach-1, on that body, has been wanted for a long time, but the pauldrons feel a little clunky. The armor always looked more sleek than powerful, to me. This is one armored hero that I'm hoping gets the Iron Man treatment and we see a couple of additional iterations; Mach 4 and a Beetle MK 3.

Yeah I agree, while I'm thrilled we are getting an iteration of Mach-Something, I wouldn't mind another version down the road. But I mainly wanted to get him in one version at least. I refuse to use the Beetle as a stand in. Yes it's the same person, but the Thunderbolts are in my mind different characterizations of that person, and counts as a brand new character not done before.

Yeah, agreed, Nash. Villainous Abe, while needed for my inner Spidey, just wasn't enough...

Am I messed up for wanting an extra head for when Abe got cosmetic surgery to look like a black guy in an effort to conceal his past as a reprobate?? Being a black guy, in this less than comfortable modern context, I feel so conflicted and dirty wanting that representation...kinda the way I felt watching Tropic Thunder. :p

That's not messed up at all. I'd like it. I just wonder if there would be backlash against having a white and a black head in there. I mean, I don't know why, but people are so sensitive these days and some search for a way to be outraged.

Not that I'm trying to get us off topic, I just can see it happening. But at there's at least two of us that would like to see that.

I have no expectation of this happening, but I'd love to see a Francine Frye Electro revealed at the Marvel Legends panel. Cheap, it would only need a new or retooled head.

My comments were moreso about conflating a black Abe head, with blackface...

But, agreed, there's enough to be rightfully outraged about within the current paradigm, without seeking out trivial matters to harp on.

If it's not an exclusive or part of a set there's almost for sure going to be a Standard X-men wave then. I can't see him as part of AOA wave 2 considering he had no presence in AOA at all.

indeed. Already this is 2 out of my top 10 never done before figures shown off. I was just expecting Nimrod to be next year. This is really cool.

It really is, Nash. I would have preferred a more decidedly looking Romita Jr version, but this less blocky, more refined Larroca-version will be welcomed wholeheartedly into my collection.

Believe it, or not, as much as I love this hobby and have a long tenure as a comic canon completionist, I don't do the ancillary media tie-in stuff. No reviews. No social media outside of here. No anything other than straight buying what I want and need. Which is, provided that it's comic themed, everything. :p It's because of that commitment that I am as caustic as I have been, at times, regarding what I expect from Hasbro. I represent one of their cash-cow collectors; I nearly buy it all, year in and year out.
