Yeah, I was hoping they would make at least a few more to finish off the 84-85 crew (Gears and Trailbreaker top the list, atm). But I still have some hope since the next movie isn't for two more years. Fingers crossed that Hasbro has stuff they're holding out on until Botcon and/or SDCC.

I'm pretty disappointed that TB won't be getting the Classics treatment... again. I thought he had to be in the works at this point.

Did they say that?
Cause all I heard was this initial wave is all FOC, but with 40+ figures scattered across this year and next there's gotta be some non in there too.
Of course I wouldn't mind it at all if they put WFC Arcee in there if that's the case.

So yeah, SDCC, NYCC and Botcon are probably where they'll show off non FOC stuff since that's more for the fans and this was more about hyping up the retailers. Trailbreaker/cutter will probably be in that.

Any word on what this year's MP will be for TRU?

Got an extra 70th set. Will sell each figure for $11 or $30 for the set plus shipping.

sorry for the confusion. The 70th set I'm referring to is the one that says 70 years with Iron Man, SS and DD. The SS is sold now

Dang where were you when I needed that set :P

$150 shipped for MIB Galactus and dark variant- yes or no?

Tiberius 02-15-2012 06:32 PM

For both regular and variant? DO IT.

for both? hmm... thats like $35 in shipping.

not a bad price, but not a steal either.

i need a Galactus, actually. lol. tough choice dude.

Tiberius 02-15-2012 07:00 PM

I can get some one the dark variant. Sadly, it will cost you an arm for shipping. Seriously. Canada Post robs us blind.

wolverine2281 02-15-2012 07:13 PM

regular is about $50 and the variant will go for at least $70-75. He's thinking shipping UPS will be about $30 each since he can't fit them in one box. Basically $125 + $25 shipping. I'll probably do it. Still need the SDCC one

I'm with ya on that. I mostly focus on gen 1, but I also like having some of their cybertronian alts too for the whole MTMTE feel.

Arcee though, her WFC alt pretty much is her season 3 alt. So I'm indifferent on her. xD

MeGrimlock79 02-15-2012 11:16 PM

Have I said lately how much I love flea markets.....picked up a lot of 25 GI Joe POC figures plus tons of weapons, then went to another shop there and picked up 5 more POC figures all for $40....I'll be posting pics after I inventory everything and see what's complete and what's not but just to mention a few good pieces there's a POC Lowlight, POC Shock Trooper, POC Snake Eyes (ultimate version), ROC Baroness, POC Doomcycle w/driver, and many many more.

Sounds like an impressive Haul. I love yardsales and fleamarkets for the reason that you can find gold for cheap, sometimes it's fellow collectors selling so they have an idea what it's worth or atleast what retail was, I've found Marvel Legends for $1-2. I missed out 1 sunday being late to the fleamarket and a kid had a whole table full of Marvel legends and iron man figures, I got like the last remaining 1 just a double, but for $2, can't go wrong. My friend mike found an original Avengers #4 comic for like a $1 thing is worth a hell of a lot more. if I have a few bucks after my next check I may hit up the fleamarket just for shits and giggles.

I have to believe that a Classics version of Trailbreaker/cutter is at least in the works. He seems to be at or near the top of most Classics wish lists (including mine) on the boards since the line was released in 2006. Add to that the reception that his RtS Legend received (awesome little toy, btw) and I feel that it was a teaser for a future deluxe/voyager version.

While I am still looking forward to all of the upcoming FOC/WFC figures (especially Bruticus), I hope that in the next two years they can knock out a bunch more Classics figures as well.

None yet. That's usually announced at Botcon.

I'd have to agree with Snow. A big part of the appeal of FOC/WFC for me is that MTMTE look that fascinated me as a kid. Sure, Bumblebee's a VW Beetle on Earth. But I want a toy of that saucer-car-thing mode he had back on Cybertron (an official toy, mind you). And give me the (non-Titanium) Tetra jets.

Of course, that doesn't mean I want them to stop putting out Classics/Generations figures. I would love for them to keep going until they finish the entire G1 run. Realistically, I'd be happy if they make it all the way through 1987.

And I would totally buy an FOC/WFC Arcee, since we've been asking for that toy practically since 1986. Animated got close (thanks DJW!), but I still want a figure in the G1 aesthetic (again, an official toy).

Optimus Vader 02-16-2012 07:22 AM

I'm sure the TRU MP will be the updated Prime (most likely w/o trailer). The US release has been the previous year's Japanese release at least the past two years in a row now in Grimlock and Rodimus.

It'd be rads if they got bumblebees car form close to the cartoon design. id be all over that. They also had a second chance with jazz.

Jass is close enough for me. I want a close to toon accurate Wheeljack though. That'd be sweet to go with WFC bumblebee. xD

Kind of wish a third party would make clip on saucer wings for WFC Bee that fold into shields or something. Then he could have his MTME look in alt and his WFC bot mode. They could probably toss in his WFC sword to clip inside it in 'wing mode' for the alt. That'd be epic.

I'm Treble on wanting more official products, but I also love the third party stuff that enhances figures I bought.

Personally, my goal is the entire ark/nemesis and season 3 crew +wreckers, and then the ark/nemesis crew pre-earth. Shockwave gets lucky since he never took an earth alt, so WFC figure of him is perfection.

i remember the old DW war within comics attempted to show what wheeljacks robot mode would look like with that car form. K'now I might buy the shockwave too. it IS his only form tbh. I still be waiting for the day they(probably never) reissue the classics figures. they go for too many scary high prices im too cheap to pay.

Ooh I might pass on that one than, but I do have the other 4 US MP's TRU/Walmart ones currently, so may need too. Are there no more Walmart MP new releases?

..100% speculation on my part, but it didn't seem like the last WM Exclusive MP (Skywarp) did very well. I don't know if it was a character people didn't care about or if they just over-produced, but they couldn't give those away by me. I'll still see a Hot Rod or two at TRU once in a while, but nothing like Skywarp. Maybe Walmart just said "fuck it" after Skywarp.
