From what I've seen it looks like they share the same hair piece, but the actual face sculpts look to be different. The Sharon Carter face mold seemed to have been "pinched", which ended up giving her that odd scowl compared to her design on the back of the package. This new Rogue sculpt definitely has a more chipper disposition.

I suppose my only real "disappointment" in the reveals for ML is, once again, the lack of a Marrow.

Any other disappointments are relegated to other Hasbro series (still no Black Series Zeb, and no official statement about Overwatch Ultimates being cancelled).

This was a pretty good year so far.

I don't think people are 'scoffing' as much as they might be of the opinion that, without more definitive evidence, they're just not going to speculate about what amounts to a hunch.

People have been saying that Hasbro sifts through comments on popular social media for years, I've been one of those people and still believe it to be true. However, TheFwoosh has also been running annual fan polls for about as many years. Not only have those polls been reflective of comments here (there's a good amount of traffic between the Ark and Fwoosh), but their polls have also been pretty spot on and represent a semi-official tally.

I guess what I'm saying is that without some insight provided by Hasbro, we don't really know what combo of influencers or which rubric is used to deliver characters. The question becomes whether it even matters in the bigger picture. As long as you are getting what you want, what difference does it make?

Personally, my big wants have only been trickling in. Outside of the FF, OG Namor, a proper Hulk, a nearly perfect Surfer, Herc, and almost perfect Thor, I'm still waiting on a great many berths that I've promoted here numerous times.

Namely:
Blue Marvel
Quasar
Many Heralds
Mr. Hyde
U-Foes
Torgo
Zzzax
The Pantheon
The Inhumans
The Eternals
Strontium
Tyrant
Jack of Hearts
Caiera the Old, Old Strong
Titania
Son of Satan
Nightmare
D'Spayre
Barron Mordo
Barron Blood
Graviton
Count Nafaria
Bullet
Stick
Stone
Shaft
Star
Belasco
Marrina
Box
Talisman
Etc..

You forgot......THE WHIZZER! ;)

TheBlueMarvel 02-23-2020 10:46 AM

I purposely didn't mention Whizzer, Squadron Supreme, and many other wants. But what I truly "forgot" to mention is how badass that Punisher is and how much I want it. IMO, and in a totally unexpected manner, it was the best looking reveal.

hasbroherofan 02-23-2020 10:49 AM

Nimrod has been ranking high on BAF fan polls for a while...this has me hoping that they'll finally be doing Lockjaw in the near future. We're at two Kamalas now and no dog for her!

I think the demand for Lockjaw may have been tempered somewhat by the Mezco release coming out in August. I know unless Hasbro reveals one at or prior to SDCC that's the way I'm going.

After that, there's so few BAF sized figures I.d want. Atlas, Attuma - not a fan of Mr. Hyde personally. For X-Men it'd be AOA Nemesis, if they did an Astral Shadow King sure. I doubt this would happen ever but I'd get an Adversary or Bastion.

urrutiap 02-23-2020 11:37 AM

By the way who asked for Marvel Legends Squirrel Girl with a big scooter vehicle anyway? Id rather have Howard the Duck with Cosmo the dog or Impossible Man or Uatu The Watcher

She cracked the Top 10 poll for three years in a row, and has been established, Hasbro clearly pays attention given how many of those characters we've seen get made recently. Classic Storm AND Punk Storm, Nightcrawler, Beast, 90s Psylocke, 90s Gambit, Multiple Man, Mystique, Xavier, Kingpin, Doc Ock, Classic Doom, Colossus, Mr. Sinsister, Classic Magneto, Strong Guy and Classic Thor all ranked in the top 10 and got made as well.

And yet. No Firestar. Unless she comes at the tail end of the year it's gotta be 2021. There's gotta be something screwy going on.

Or Lockjaw. I never said literally every character who ranked got made, just that a ton of them did, and that Hasbro clearly took notice.

urrutiap 02-23-2020 12:18 PM

as for Kingpin. he ended up as a build a figure which costs alot more than one figure by the way.

Youre spending up to like 100 bucks which is 18-20 bucks for one figure each time to build Kingpin. Puma is the only decent Spider-Man comic book character while the rest of the figures you have to spend more money on just to get the arms, legs etc for Kingpin.

I never asked for a stupid Squirrel Girl with big scooter vehicle. Cant stand the dumb character at all. But apparently there are so called fans of Squirrel Girl anyway. Good for them I guess.

urrutiap 02-23-2020 12:20 PM

Any other big fat guy characters besides Kingpin and Blob I should know about before Hasbro starts making another big fat guy build a figure wave?

Not sure what this has to do with what I said.

That's nice. Thankfully, the line isn't decided on by anecdotes. One can only imagine what that'd look like.

Some are fat some are muscle but over all just big guys - Mr. Hyde, Harry Leland, and not guys, but fat humans, Pink Pearl, Thumbelina, Big Bertha.

TheBlueMarvel 02-23-2020 12:26 PM

...
Destroyer
Perrikus (retooled from above - Nimrod's head-shoulder?)
Mangog
Kurse
Awesome Android/Andy
Mad Thinker
Red Ghost and his super Apes
The Fury
Starfox
Samaritan: Thanos
Desak
Star-Brand
Void Sentry
Alpha Ray
Mad Man
Arsenal (old school)
Man Beast
Bi Beast
Seth
High Evolutionary
Outside of The Destroyer, most of this has no chance.

urrutiap 02-23-2020 12:31 PM

There is almost nothing I want more than a Marvel Legends Werewolf by Night figure. My top wants besides Jack Russell are:

- Arcade
- Banshee (70s, damn it)
- Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (namely Destiny to go with Mystique)
- Colossus (from “Deadpool”)
- Doctor Strange
- Dum Dum Duggan
- Longshot
- Marvel Girl
- Meggan
- Miss Marvel
- Moon Knight (Classic)
- Phoenix (Rachel Grey)
- Psylocke (Outback)
- Rogue (Outback)
- Shadowcat
- Starjammers (any and all)
- Stegron
- Tigra
- Toad
- White Queen
- Wonder-Man (Safari Jacket)

I was examining my personal top fifty wants, and it’s funny that, as exciting as yesterday’s reveals were, that Hasbro has only scratched the surface for me.

urrutiap 02-23-2020 12:54 PM

speaking of Rogue in her australian outback outfit, isnt the Infinite Series Rogue figure basically close enough to her austrialian outback outfit?

Personal wish-lists aside, one disappointment for me was the lack of accessories, or better yet heads for Morph. After Chameleon & Mystique, I felt surely that Hasbro would pack-in a few extra alt. AOA heads to help fill out the ranks. I thought both AOA Magneto & AOA Blink would be shoo-ins, and possibly even an animated series Morph sculpt as well.

I'm definitely hoping for an animated Morph somewhere down the line, with alternate heads.

He did get a toy in the original Toybiz line so if they do another retro X-wave he could be an option.

Aside from Nimrod, Black Tom, and War Machine there was really nothing revealed this weekend that is particularly high on my wish list. There's still plenty that I'm looking forward to, though. I didn't realize I'd want Peter Parker or Gwen until I saw the pics. Same with the new Punisher (really, I wanna throw rocks at the retro version now). I've already placed orders for Leader (I need more villains) and Mar-Vell (just 'cause). The cinematic X-Men figs look better than I'd expected. I'll definitely pick up the standard Jackman Wolvie release, and the Professor (I mean, c'mon...a 1:12 Patrick Stewart portrait). I'm withholding judgement on FA Storm until in-hand pics and reviews start to circulate, especially since she's an exclusive. I don't frequent Target, and I'm not about to try and out race the scalpers unless I know she's worth it.

Also, regarding the fan vote over on Pulse, I'm torn between Sif and Silk. I want both and am not willing to pay eBay prices for either prior release.

So Shartimus asked the team at Hasbro if they were looking into figures of the Raimi movies. Basically, they gave the usual PR answer of "It's not in the plans, but the possibility is there".

They went on further to say that it shouldn't be an issue with Disney, and Disney actually helped with creating the Fox X-Men figures.

Dwight also said he will be working on double jointed (pinless likely) elbows for the female figures.
