If the scales match up, the kit bashing for paramilitary characters between Marvel and Joe will be interesting to see.

Going off of the Snake Eyes that people have been sharing pics of they won't match up exactly. The Joes are looking to be in a true 6" scale like their Black Series, Power Rangers, and Overwatch lines as opposed to the slightly larger Legends. So I don't think they'd look terribly awkward displayed together or sharing accessories but body part swapping might get wonky real fast. But then maybe Snake Eyes is actually short for the line and my thoughts here go right out the window.

Well, that was a quick answer. That's too bad, I guess. I was hoping for new parts to be worked into Legends where it made sense. I have a bunch of Overwatch figs and understand exactly what you mean about that getting wonky quickly. It's pretty obvious that the styles, while similar, are different enough to not look good combined on one figure.

hasbroherofan 02-23-2020 06:12 PM

I don't think anything was ever stopping Tigra beyond her relative C-list status. It's not an insult; there are a lot of Avengers around her general level of notoriety that haven't been redone yet or even made at all. They'll get to her eventually.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't Snake Eyes supposed to be on the shorter side anyway?

Not exactly Wolverine height, but I believe he's around the same height as Spidey (who's kinda been slightly oversized relative to other characters in the Legends line anyway).

I don't know about that one. Naked overboob and blueboob is one thing, naked underboob is another.

I've seen some people use Shang-Chi to make Quick Kick. Which is fitting, since they're both obviously modeled after Bruce Lee.

Yeah, I feel like Maddie's only real shot at release by Hasbro would be with a more censored approach to her classic costume. Probably something more akin to her toned-down look by Marvel from their last Secret Wars event.

Dr Kain 02-23-2020 10:05 PM

Hasbro did Angela, so they can most definitely do a proper Goblin Queen.

Maybe she's not considered high Pryority

jwyss234 02-24-2020 01:50 AM

I know I posted the info on Saturday but I don't think any pics were released of Mystique from X-Men. Here's a screen grab of the slide from the live stream.

Sure, that was going to happen and the comparison is an easy one to make. However, between the physique, the American quips and humor, and timing, I always got more of a Ricky Steamboat from Quick Kick than Bruce Lee. But the Shang to Quick Kick custom makes instant sense given that the Shang fig is overly muscled IMO similar to Kick (and Steamboat).

I agree, I feel like that could work for sure and I would be fine with it to.

urrutiap 02-24-2020 07:11 AM

if they want to make a G.I. Joe Quick Kick out of Shang Chi, let them. They bought the frikkin figure. they can do whatever they want.

TheBlueMarvel 02-24-2020 08:11 AM

Lol sure, dude.

Spyne98 02-24-2020 09:19 AM

I feel like Madelyne's updated look could work. However, I believe her return was teased in the one of the recent X-Men books. Underboob and all.

hasbroherofan 02-24-2020 10:41 AM

Since we're getting HOX/POX Nimrod hopefully that's a sign we'll be seeing more from the new era.

I would almost agree but with that SDCC Shanna the She Devil Hasbro did, I feel like underboob is a moot point.

Ah well in that case it's just not that high on their to do list. Which I can understand. Her main point of being ran for about 5-6 years, and tied to Inferno. Quite frankly every time she's come back since then, hasn't really made much an impression on me.

Boy Blunder 02-24-2020 12:12 PM

I know it's being done in-part because of the 25th anniversary, but I wonder if Hasbro's doing all this AoA X-Men stuff so they can figure out where next to double-down on with X-Men eras. I mean, they've nailed pretty much the entire Jim Lee/Animated Series-era team, right? While I know each wave has hit marks across the entire board, the 90s team has been a focus. Wonder if they'll aim for the 80s/Outback team getting finished, or maybe go for the late 90s additions like Marrow, Maggott, Cecilia, and Cannonball (in his blue-and-yellow X-Men costume)? Maybe throw late-90s Cable in there, when he slimmed down the costume and traded the guns for his Psimitar.

Thoughts?

Also, who else would be high-priority AoA figures for a second wave, if it's happening? Magneto and Rogue would be the most obvious, and hopefully Cyclops (and maybe Havok). Who else? Especially if they have no Wolverine to fall back on.

Harbinger 02-24-2020 12:22 PM

I would say aoa colossus, Sonique, gambit, banshee, cyclops and havok and baf holocaust!

I agree that's a possibility about Hasbro trying to decide where to go next. AOA lends itself to a good 25th anniversary, and a limited time window, so it was a good choice.

My guesses would either be modern with House Of X/Powers Of X/Dawn Of X, or Morrison's new X-Men period along with X-treme X-Men. I'd say the 70s and 80s but there isn't a lot left there, quite honestly. By that I mean some important characters sure, but just not a ton of them.

If there's only another A0A wave and nothing else, I'm guessing Sabretooth, Magneto, Cyclops and Rogue are locks, and likely either Storm, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Iceman or Bishop. I REALLY want an Abyss though. And a Sinister. And oddly, a Dazzler.

I hope they churn out some pack. there's plenty for three waves and that third wave could be split into packs.

@Harbinger: I doubt they'll do Banshee. Can you imagine the griping if they did an AOA Banshee before Jim Lee or GSXM Banshee? It would be a time of darkness on the boards, when it comes up daily.
