Thanks!
I did make the Hall of Justice. Trying to build it from the 3.75" line would have been expensive and probably more difficult than it needs to be, so I just made one. Aquaman probably has the most issues from my set, but they are all somewhat minor. There is some green in a couple spots on the orange, and his hair line has some bleed onto his face. Other than that his eyes appear to be looking up a bit, so it is hard to get a proper pose without him looking like he is rolling his eyes. Now that I have a healthy assortment of ICONS I must say that Thigh swivel would have gone a long way for these figures. |
At least the ones with boots have a boot swivel.

So did anyone pick up any of today's releases?

As such, this will probably be the last time I get to post until we get to our hotel tomorrow afternoon, so have a good day/night everyone. |
I saw the Wonder Woman and Deathstroke today at a local comic shop. They used the same head as the Afterbirth 7 pack for WW instead of the pretty face they've used in all the solicitation, so she looks kinda fugly to me. The Deathstroke figure looked Awesome though and I would have definitely picked him up if I didn't already have the old DCUC version.

The lcs got Deathstroke, Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Static Shock but only WW and Cyborg remained. If I hadn't called before they opened and asked to hold a Deathstroke I doubt I'd have gotten him. Aside from still being a generally pricey line my only real complaint is that his holster doesn't hold the pistol very well, it works but only if it's upright. The rest of the figure is pretty awesome. |
I must get Deathstroke for my old man crew

hmm, that deathstroke figure is screaming at me to repaint him. that mid point looks alittle paint chaotic

Static Shock? Now this I want to see.
Btw, so is this line cancelled or what? I'm confused as hell now. |
No. At the very least Icons is continuing with multi-packs and themed "Iconic Moment" sets, but possibly/probably there won't be any more single figures after Supergirl later this year.

Here it was at Toyfair 2016, just now getting released though because DCC loves to push dates. The only thing they love more than pushing release dates is cancelling lines even when they've already shown off more figures. To my understanding the individual line is ending so in a way the "line" is ending as it will just be multipacks from here on but those packs will be done in the same fashion. Nightwing and Supergirl are slated as the last two and any of the others are pretty much up in the air which is synonymous with cancelled for DCC. |
When I get my Superman, I'm painting the boots... it just looks so incomplete without that. Might paint the belt yellow too.

Got my Static figure in the mail. They removed his coat and extra hand accessories(And really didnt tell anyone), was a little disappointing, but the figure still looks good. Haven't opened it yet but I may post pics later.

I vividly remember the 90's commercials for Batman toys (which I never collected) and wanted the city of Gotham to play with my toys way more than the toys themselves. I just remember being so jealous that the kids in the commercial were able to play with the figures in the proper place. Now fast forward almost 20+ years later and I like to create Dios just as much as I like to collect. I used to give my friend so much sh*t about his collection because all his figures were just standing in rows on a shelf and I was like "Why buy action figures if you want to put them in Non-action poses" I feel like they are so much more when put in realistic settings, much like your bar scene dio |
