Does the secret Walgreens sale also include Mattel figures?

Benn Roe 03-05-2020 06:58 PM

Philly Walgreens are basically just a sea of Magiks. If anyone wants about 150 copies of Magik at $10 each, I can probably get them for you.

They would also work :)

Actually speaking of Rachel I wonder if they would ever do a figure of her in her "Hound" costume? (maybe as a 2 pack with "Spryte" costume Kitty Pryde?)

I want them to make the figure in the hound costume. I hope they do it as a 3-pack to finish Excalibur. Kitty, Phoenix, and Meggan. Nightcrawler and Captain Britain are close enough for me.

SymbiSpidey 03-05-2020 09:06 PM

Anybody know if the Demogoblin wave is part of the sale? I just need the two Gamerverse figures for the legs and I'll be done with that figure.

jmurray90720 03-06-2020 12:24 AM

Was someone looking for an Odin wave Scarlet Witch and Enchantress here in the last week? I get my toy forums horribly confused, but I have both for sale.

Those two figures are on sale as a 2-pack at Dorkside for $29.99.
Though you'd have to add 5.95 shipping unless you're making a total order over 100.

Poor Rachel has joined the ranks of terrible code names with Monica (Photon, Pulsar?!).
I mean who thought "Prestige" was a good code name. It makes "Pixie" sound smart.
And yes, either John Romita Jr's outfit or Excalibur outfit for Rachel (AKA Phoenix II, Marvel Girl II).

I think I saw where someone purchased that wave at the sale price.

At least she didn’t have the codename of this poor, unfortunate gi joe....

I also want a Hound Rachel fig, if only to have a shot at an Excalibur line-up. If Hasbro actually
elects to deliver an Excalibur box, I don't think it would make sense to represent any iteration of the team outside of the original squad.

...throw Necrom in with the Hound and I'll be doing a Toyota jump-kick.

I don't think it was here, but I could be wrong.

I think I would have noticed a call for the Enchantress as she's one of my faves...

If Marvel's greatest ambassador, Spidey, dubs thee Captain Marvel, then I say run with it. It isn't like multiple characters (from separate pantheons even) haven't shared the moniker, some even doing so at the same time. Also...I didn't hate Photon lol

Agreed 1000% on the Phoenix II outfit, or JRJR's incredible design for her. Although I think a lot of people would be disappointed with the latter. Not me.

That was me trying to find them for a custom idea I have. I'll pm you.

It worked for me. I grabbed a second White Rabbit for the glider and possible part swapping.

TheBlueMarvel 03-06-2020 10:49 AM

Whoops lol

Boy Blunder 03-06-2020 10:53 AM

The problem with Rachel is that I want pretty much all her costumes :D

SymbiSpidey 03-06-2020 11:18 AM

So take this with a grain of salt, but someone on TheFwoosh is claiming to have leaks indicating that there will be a Storm and Thunderbird 2-pack (I'm assuming that's the FA Storm we just saw at ToyFair) and a Pyro and Rogue 2-pack (maybe Rogue in her 80s look, if not a straight up re-release of Jim Lee Rogue?).

I'd actually assume that the Rogue was the modern Rogue we saw. Even though Pyro was dead at the time she wore that and they had absolutely nothing to do with each other at that point in time.

Could be wrong though. it could totally be an 80's version.

Not that I'm aware of, but many of the Mattel MultiVerse figures that were shelf-warming in my area have "mysteriously" disappeared...

TheBlueMarvel 03-06-2020 12:30 PM

I'd also be happy with 3-4 versions of Rachel, she's my favorite Phoenix.

If this is true, I will do a happy dance when I see these prototypes, regardless of my location. I could really go for either version of Rogue suggested, both are needed for my collection (80s Rogue would look dope fighting Nimrod). Hopefully Pyro is a sign we’ll get the rest of the Brotherhood soon.

Yes, yes, and YES. Anything to get my boy T-Bird out there.

While it would still be a mismatched era, maybe it could be Legacy Rogue and XM Gold Pyro (Simon Lasker)? I mean, it's unlikely, but...

Agreed. Ideally, I'd love a redux of her "Mark of the Phoenix" design, with the black 'cosmic' deco and the Phoenix sigil emblazoned on her back and over her eye. But that would be in addition to any and all other versions, of course.

I'm really fond of her "Jean Grey School" outfit, the leather jacket looks that incorporated elements of both her Hound costume and her Phoenix design. And the hanging straps that looked like "feathers" in certain shots.

urrutiap 03-06-2020 01:30 PM

Well if its going to be a Pyro and Rogue two pack then pretty sure its going to be 1980s Rogue and I grew up with Rogue back then with that one issue of Uncanny X-Men of Rogue and Wolverine on the front cover

Especially the Freedom Force team that Mystique and Pyro and Blob were in and they had a big street fight against Colossus and Rogue back then

Trivial Psychic 03-06-2020 01:50 PM

Probably a longshot, but since we are getting Fox X-Men figures now, It could very well be a Rogue / Pyro two pack from X-Men 2: X-Men United. There was a sort of tension between the two of them in the film (possibly an unexplored love triangle with Bobby...) so it would not surprise me if Hasbro pulls this out of their hat.

That actually a really good point and makes perfect sense.

Hulkwummy 03-06-2020 01:58 PM

A 90s X-Factor Wolfsbane figure must be made to complete the 90s X-Factor team.

SymbiSpidey 03-06-2020 02:33 PM

So the same poster is also saying West Coast US Agent is coming as well.

It'd make perfect sense, since he'll be appearing on the Winter Soldier and Falcon show. Not to mention it seems like Hasbro going all in on the West Coast Avengers
