Good Luck, Vex! Those Cuckoos are out there.
Mystique was a fast mover that's for sure. Maybe a week at the most. I ran across a second sighting many months later and snagged it for the option to display it with the Rogue transition head. Other than that, she's was a goner. |

You mean Mystique wasn't a walgreens website limited edition figure like so many of us are now assuming? I mean, at least I did get one from the website, but of all the various Walgreens sightings she probably had the least reported.
|
Yeah. Come to think of it, I think I only ever saw two Mystiques in-store. It just happened that I found her on my first excursion to find her, then once more at a different store a week or so later. Nary a trace since. However, compared to to Dani, Mystique is practically a peg warmer.

I got my Mystique in-store, and there were three in-stock at the time, but it was the week she released. I was later told by a collector who works at that Walgreens that they got in 8 at release. I think I may have seen her in-store once after that. Mystique also briefly came back up on the website around the time Dani released. Dani took a little more work, but I was able to find five of them the first day I looked just by calling around. They were all at different stores, and I had to drive to Wilmington, Delaware for most of them, but still not bad. Delaware is tax-free, and I was able to chain coupons to get them for $15 each. I have never seen an Emma or Cuckoo at a store, though. Not once. I had to trade for all mine. I have, however, had stores tell me they have Emma in-stock when I've called looking for Cuckoos.

Can anyone tell me if the Warlock Polaris or Netflix Elektra fleshtones match the Walgreen's Emma Frost?
Thanks anyone. |
I was able to get Red Hulk today thanks to pop finder and order pick up.

I got my Mystique on the Walgreens app. I never saw Iron Doom in stores either |

I saw Thing once at Walgreens and didn't get it because an eye was badly painted. I never saw another. The rest have been not super hard to find. I saw Dani, Mystique, Emma, and the Cuckoos each in at least 3 different stores. They each only showed up for a couple weeks and then were gone for good. I passed on the Cuckoos a couple times, but found a full set of 3 art one store during this secret sale. I also got a second Emma to fully commit to my Selene custom. |
No restocks at any of my Walgreen's, but I was able to get Walgreen's to price match themselves on the Stepford Cuckoos I picked up online (Courtesy of Toy Shiz's Community post).
The only reason I learned of this sale was that I had happened across a Cuckoo at THIS EXACT store 5 days later, so having that recipt and the relative closeness of the date on the online purchase...they reimbursed me via gift card for the difference. It's worth a try if you purchased the FULL PRICE Cuckoos from Walgreens Online Store. All these dimes and gift cards add up! Give it a shot, all they can say is no. Good Luck To All!!! |

I'm one Super Skrull away from having all the legends I want at the moment. After not being blown away from Hasbro's showing at Toy Fair I may be spending a lot less on Legends this year! I will probably post a few videos over the next week so that you can see in more detail all the respective setups. |

Good lord...I cannot get over just how many Ebay listings there are for the Target Red Hulk at the moment. Some of them are showing pictures of two or three in the descriptions. Scalpers came out in droves for that one.
|
Dang I used to be good at getting the Walgreens exclusive but I've fallen behind....may hit another near Walgreens near home.

Thanks for the compliments it has taken a lot of effort to display these giants compared to my much larger 3.75” collection, but the shelf presence and variety of poses you can get out of 6” figures is definitely greater than my MU figures.
|
So the more I see of that Grey Widow figure, the more I really want one....too bad it's a Wal-Mart Exclusive....ugh
|
Finally had a chance to get out...so like every other tried-and-true collector, I went to like every Walgreen's in my area...:D
Was quite shocked to see that all of my local stores were actually participating in the sale. The stores in my area NEVER get the major discounts reported around here or TheFwoosh. Luckily, no problems at any of the store locations though a few scares when the figures were officially being scanned, but all of the prices self-corrected to the discount after checkout. Overall, a good day!!:D https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...a2132330_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...388e1560_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...265d8e08_c.jpg |

Pretty sure the only figs left at my Walgreens are a bunch of MCU Wasps, Sharon Carters and Thundras... we don't even have any of the older exclusives here like Medusa or Majik... they're all gone.
I found a Cannoball for 10 bucks on clearance at Target though... still feels sucky spending 10 bucks for half a fig though... even though he is kind of cool once you get him out of the package and start posing him in flying poses. Also... that display with the X in the middle is cool. |
