So he's basically the same except for the Walkie Talkie. Good to know.

The guy who posted the pic painted his carded version's cowl pink.

Thanks. I searched all of Funko's FB for weeks back and joined three ReAction/Funko groups and didn't see anything y'alls were talking about.

If we want an 3.75/4 inch line from Mattel we have to send messages to them. I've play my part, you can send a message, the link to contact them is below

Done! Though that page seems to be more for product issues/customer service with Mattel's online store. I contacted them there all the same.

Anyone hear whether Funko will be making more DC figures like they did for Suicide Squad? They're a little small/squat for my taste, but at least they are something.

More like pray to Satan for help. God is useless here, you need to contact "someone" on the board. ;)

They have done Arrow, Flash, Suicide Squad and Batman 66, which should be ongoing.

We're better off waiting for Funko to make more stuff, tbh. I really want their Batgirl figure even if the articulation kinda sucks.

snake5289 07-21-2017 10:58 AM

Man am I disappointed there's no Injustice 2 figures. Ivy, Canary, Supergirl, Deadshot, Grodd, Cold, Darkseid, Atrocitus, Bane, Brainiac, Fate, GL, Robin, Swamp Thing, Scarecrow, so many characters I want figures of damn it!

Antony916 07-21-2017 01:54 PM

I just got my Funko Batman Classic figures from Clark's. I'll post some photos soon. I can say Right away though I love how they look on card. Very nice!

Thinking about getting the Suicide Squad Deadshot and Katana. Do they mesh with the Multiverse figures or do they kind of stick out in comparison?

They are a hard 3.75 inch. You might get away with the females saying they are just shorter.

That was what I was thinking plus it is about the only way to get a Katanna or Enchantress anywhere near the 1/18th scale.

snake5289 07-23-2017 10:29 AM

Damn. Guess I'll just get Katana then.

Thanks for the info.

I've seen the Deadshot head and gear bashed onto a Maurader Task Force figure and it's pretty awesome.

No Funko 3.75 at SDCC? Was really hoping for Justice League.

Post-SDCC thoughts... Does anyone know what the toy rights are concerning 3 3/4"-4" DC characters? I just wonder why another company wouldn't jump in and make these.

Funko has made a few, but they're honestly so-so sculpts, on the short side for the scale, and they have antiquated articulation. And it's not purposefully lacking, they haven't marketed the Suicide Squad and Batman '66 figures as ReAction.

As far as I can tell, DC has allowed Mattel, Medicom, Bandai (Figuarts), NECA and their own DC Collectibles to make 6"-7" scale figures. Square Enix makes a 9" scale. Jakks makes 19" and 31" big figs. Hot Toys makes 1/6 scale. NJ Croce makes bendables. Schleich makes figurines.

How tough would it be to allow a smaller company that excels at 1:18 scale to create a line of DC figures? At this point I won't buy "that's Mattel's gig" since Funko has made figures based on DC's movies, comics and television shows. And they're not all "retro" lines.

Surely there are indy companies out there that would jump at the chance to create and market a line of the World's Greatest Super Heroes. Wouldn't you think?

Funko lines are a hard 3 3/4 inch figure on purpose, hence the 'retro' aspect. Hasbro and Mattel are deliberately pushing the scale. Reaction is a Super 7 trademark, initially released by Funko under license, which has since been pulled back to Super 7. Funko deliberately looks for defunct licenses that require no royalty payments to maximize profits. Can't fault them, just good business, and it gets us figures we want that Mattel and Hasbro won't do like Universal Monsters. As far as the DC license, maybe better to ask Super 7.

I was looking for the same things. Sad, not even one of them filtered into production. Hope they at least produce a Suicide Squad Boomerang.

I know like... how could they leave out half the squad but produce characters that barely appeared?

I get that for the ReAction figures they made, but did they intend for the Suicide Squad figures to be retro? They were (a little) better sculpted, in my mind. Maybe they did mean for them to be like the ReAction line... In which case, I'd like to see them try their hand at modern figures next. Especially if they have the DC license.

I don't think they will any time soon, still a small company.
