I don't understand Mattel though. Why do only selected figures have the double jointed knees and elbows? ALL of their figures should have them.

I wasn't even aware that any DCUC figs had them. Which ones had those articulation points?

Barefootabe 12-10-2012 10:53 PM

off the top of my head

azrael
creeper
robin (dick grayson/jason todd)
abin sur black lantern
manhunters

all of those had either double elbows or knees

Greenskar 12-10-2012 10:54 PM

Wow, sucks that they're so selective about it.

snake5289 12-11-2012 12:32 AM

I think Blue Beetle/Jaime Reyes had them too.

Dr Kain 12-11-2012 06:23 AM

Barefoot, both Robins are Dick Grayson.

Yeah, the card back for the golden age Robin still says "Dick Grayson" even though he looks like Jason Todd.

As Robin, Jason was usually depicted wearing a green mask.

Optimus Vader 12-11-2012 09:36 AM

jaybird hooked me up with this Two Face. I've been slowly putting together my Batman collection. I have the AA Killer Croc and the DCUC Penguin in my PoL.

Good to know. Thanks. I might hit you up when he arrives.

Barefootabe 12-11-2012 11:06 AM

yea i knew they were both called grayson on the card but i think most will agree that the variant was made to be jason

snake5289 12-11-2012 01:17 PM

^^ I always thought it was.

snake5289 12-11-2012 01:17 PM

So my Bane took a bit of a spill and broke at the knee and I used it as an excuse to modify him a bit.

I never liked how his legs were stuck in a crouch pose making him too small for DCUC figures so I gave him the legs from a large Vegeta (absolutely no clue which) and added Bane's boots. The belt is made from fodder. Right now the legs are colored with marker but I'm hoping to pick up some paint tomorrow so I can fix them up proper.

back at the time wher eI could find that variant I used the head as a helmet less red hood!

Looks good from where I'm sitting.

I rarely have selling regrets, but selling my CnC Bane is very regretful.

snake5289 12-11-2012 03:00 PM

You can still see some of the blue from Vegeta's pants in person.

As for CnC Bane I would have loved to get all of that wave to build him due to them all being characters I like (except Mercury but that's only because I know nothing of the Metal Men other than their appearance on the Brave and the Bold cartoon) but the only ones I saw were Jonah Hex and Creeper.

The variant looks more like 40s Dick to me.

Wow. If Mattel keeps up this level of quality with their DC Unlimited figures I might just have to start collecting more than just the New 52 JL team. Even though Hawkman isn't actually a current member of the New 52 JL team he will be a member of the upcoming JLA team and ever since I first saw him in pics when he was first announced in this line I knew he looked too cool to pass up. Thankfully, he definitely delivered!

See pics below:

He comes in the same packaging as The Flash

http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/p...1165903545.jpg
http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/p...5278155862.jpg
http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/p...5278233338.jpg

He comes with two accessories

http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/p...5278253331.jpg

HAWKMAN!

The back of the wings so you can see what kind of hinges they work off of. These wings have pretty much an inverse articulation of Archangel's recent Uncanny X-Force mold in that the base of Hawkman's wings can't rotate down and up and instead only fold forward and back, however, the top wings can swivel up and down.

And as awesome a figure as he turned out to be...this is for having a very craptacular comic!

Dang, you aren't kidding -- I thought you meant they're FOR sale, like in stock. They're actually ON sale -- $11-$13 (weird that some figures have different prices; and Batman isn't on sale??)

And if for some reason you need a MM Batman or Bane . . .Target is clearancing these. And QuickTek for all of us here that love that stuff.;)

Back to Walmart. . .anyone bought this:

Tumbler? Those figures look almost big enough to be DCUC-size. Wonder if a DCUC or MM would fit in there?

Dr Kain 12-13-2012 06:20 AM

Ken, how do you get Stargirl to hold onto her staff with one hand? I can barely get her to hold it with two hands.

lanternjv37 12-13-2012 07:15 AM

thanks for the heads up! got another Ras

Tiberius 12-13-2012 12:05 PM

That damn Hawkman is making it hard. I am still ganna get the DCC Darkseid...but now I am leaning towards Mattel for new 52 for almost everything else...

Greenskar 12-13-2012 12:49 PM

Agreed. I'm baffled by how they can get Flash and Hawkman so right and fail so miserably with a high caliber villain like Darksied?!
