I am in the same boat as some of the rest of you when it comes to working. My job has been deemed essential. My bosses make sure the office stays nice and secure for them and the staff there but send me and others out to people’s homes. I do everything I can not to come in contact with people but it will happen at some point. It is a blessing to be still working but a danger for me and my family.

I was a little put off by the red light zapper pistol at first, but then saw through stock images that it's actually accurate to the source material, so good call on Hasbro's part.

Seems the customizing of the Deadly Origins Widow has died down a bit...but here's one more for you guys. Lily Hollister...AKA: Queen Cat!

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...a9787c_c_d.jpg

I really dug the Lily Hollister character (in particular, her alter ego Menace) and while I still hold out hope we might properly receive that character in Legends form (especially if they gave us the pregnant version of Menace, which was bananas,) I'm quite happy I can at least have her in her current, non-goblin persona.

Glad to see people finally coming around on Spymaster.

I'm actually out of a job until August, so I won't be buying too many figures at the moment. I'm going to have to pump videos out like crazy on my channel since I'll need to rely on ad revenue now. Thankfully, my wife's job is considered essential (she works for Lockheed Martin, which is under defense), but we would be totally screwed if she weren't. Still, my paychecks went to fun money and utilities like the internet and electric.

Then stop going out so much. There is a pandemic. My wife works with the doctor that developed the at home Covid test. She is directly dealing with this shit every day. It is a real thing.

The majority of us know how serious this situation is, no need to talk down to people. The one's out there lollygagging wouldn't listen to you anyways, as they're mostly nitwits.

Once again, I go out to get out of the apartment. There's a difference between being home by choice and being home because some orange jackass is telling you to stay home. Also, I don't see why I'm not allowed to go to the movies while other assholes are still allowed to go golfing on the golf course next to my apartment. That's bullshit. If I'm supposed to stay inside, so should they!

Look, I get the whole flatten the infection rate thing, but if I'm supposed to say home, so should everyone else that isn't an essential industry. However, I'm also only willing to do this for so long as we can not just put our lives on hold forever.

Are any movie theaters still open? All the ones by me suspended services weeks ago haha

Once again, just going out to get out isn't essential. Politics isn't important here. The orange jackass is just a jackass. It is medical professionals who are telling us to stay home and various governors from both parties putting their states on lockdown. There is also a difference between sitting indoors in a crowded theater and being outside on a golf course. It's not bullshit. You don't have to stay inside, you just need to stay away from other people. You can go to a park or do several other outdoor activities. Frivolously going to the store is not necessary. What if you pick up something, give it to your wife, and then she gets her co-workers sick? Alternatively, your wife could get something at work, give it to you, and then you just go to Target, not to buy anything, just to wander around and get Target employees sick. Jackasses come in other colors besides orange...

If you understand that they are trying to flatten the curve, why are you still going out? If you are supposed to stay home, but everyone else jumps off a bridge, are you jumping off that bridge too? Obviously we can't put everything on hold forever, but we can do it long enough so thousands of people don't die. I hope you don't have anyone elderly or immune compromised people that you care about. In Italy, if you are 60+ and have Covid-19, you just get to die. They are saving the ventilators for younger people because they don't have enough.

If you already know, I am not talking down to you.
It is necessary to try to convince these "nitwits" they are wrong.
Grocery stores aren't some magical place where everyone is immune.
Medical workers need groceries too.
If idiots are still just going out when they don't need to, they can get people sick.
If the grocery stores have too many sick employees, the store will close.
If the medical workers get sick at the store, they can't go to work.
Toys are not important now. The sooner we all just suck it up and deal with the inconvenience, the sooner everything will get back to normal.
The "lollygagging" will just draw this out longer.

So much this. I'm fortunate that I was already working from home, and our company is completely working from home except for one person that goes in to register payments that come in the mail - essential for the business I guess. But I'm fortunate that's not me. The rest of our company is at home.

Already having to be at home due to a pet that requires special needs, this isn't a huge change for me. I can no longer go to the gym on my lunchbreak like I've been doing, but I am finding ways to work out from home. The only time I've been out in the last 3 weeks has been for groceries, and once to pick up prescription pet food that I combined with a trip to target to try and nab toilet paper (which I was successful and while I was there I did pick up the new Star Wars blu ray). Otherwise, I'm not out and about. I'm probably making the shift to ordering groceries delivered as of the next week and just wipe everything down when they get here. I don't plan on leaving the house for a month, more than likely, unless there's an actual emergency. It's just part of the sacrifices we have to make if we're going to get this thing under control.

Almost every state has passed Stay at home (except for essential needs) orders. The longer that some few don't comply with that, the longer the rest of us have to have those imposed. And yeah, we don't like it, but it's as I said, it's a sacrifice we have to make right now.

On topic toy wise, I realize that the things i ordered are not going to get here in time. I'm not worried about it, though of course, I'd like to get them sooner than later. They just aren't a priority, like not getting sick and not passing a sickness on to someone else, and staying alive. There will come a time we can go out and search for our plastic addiction again. This simply isn't it.

Harbinger 04-04-2020 09:17 AM

I’ll say that walmart is not helping the situation any. They close all the entrances except the grocery entrance, bunch people up lime a line for a ride at disney land and STILL only have four registers open because they rely too much on those automated self checkouts that only have one attendant and 6 need help lights going off. Not very health conscious to me. If they really were concerned with halting the spread between people both entries would be open so there wouLd be no bunching up, EVERY REGISTER would be open to get people out faster, however that would logical and Gods help the world if something made sense.

While getting out today to get a few last minute groceries ( had to wait for yogurt and tv dinners to be restocked ) i did find the nat movie widow and flo pugh yelena ( hasbro really screwed the pooch on this one ) so grabbed them. Left snowboarder not taskmaster as he looked chinsey and had no baf part,

I wouldn't do ANYTHING because the orange jackass tells me to. But people far more knowledgeable than that useless, fuckwitted asshole Trump are telling us to stay at home. It might be a good idea to listen not just for your own health, but the health of the people you could be bringing the virus home to. Seriously dude, be careful.

The point is that if everyone adhered to social distancing guidelines, the infection rate would flatten faster and you could get back to your life that much sooner.

That said, where do you live that still has open movie theaters? Every theater in NY - not to mention everything else here that isn't food or medical related - is closed down.

Jokes on you for expecting Walmart to not handle this situation as horribly as humanly possible ;)

All too true haha. Truth be told i figured walmart to worsen things but even what they did surpassed my expectation of idiocy.

How about a thread in the "off-Topic" section for everyone's political opinions and Covid19 suggestions and we keep this Marvel Legends thread ABOUT Marvel Legends-
IronMan sure is getting a decent Rogue's Gallery built up:

He does but we really need an updated Mandarin which we likely won't see until the Shang-Chi wave (if we get a comic Mandarin and we damn well better) and a Count Nefaria. I mean, we have Nefaria's daughter in there....c'mon, we need him too.

So slightly more on-topic... how does everyone feel about these Marvel delays in the MCU realm and how it’ll affect the overall Legends release schedule?

Nothing wrong with off topic. This is a great forum to interact at socially appropriate distancing.
Received a few new BW and non-Marvel stuff. I like the movie Taskmaster. The original Comic version is still my favorite. Knight of Ren is very cool for anyone who collects SW Black Series

usernamedustin 04-04-2020 01:28 PM

I think it is appropriate to remind people that they can order Marvel Legends figures online. There is no need to go to a physical store. We can all deal with the waiting. There are more important things.

I am really hoping Hasbro just delays stuff and doesn't cancel anything. The AoA wave should be fine, but I am a little worried about Nimrod and the Strong Guy wave. I do doubt that they will cancel stuff that has been revealed, but who knows what they had planned that we may never see.
