Plus I couldn't take her seriously in a fucking tube top and miniskirt. Thank goodness Capcom gave her a realistic/non-hooker outfit in the remake.

Personally, I think the remake is vastly superior to the original, but I've also never been a huge fan of the original. Of the RE games Sugimura helmed, I felt it was his weakest.
I've always enjoyed RE3 but yeah, compared to the first two games it DID feel like something that the company just kinda churned out to satisfy demand, as opposed to any kind of real and true evolution of the series like 2 and 4 were.

SymbiSpidey 04-06-2020 08:03 AM

Yeah there's no way they're cancelling a character as popular as Storm, knowing how much demand there is for this particular look.

Honestly, I doubt anything is getting cancelled period.

Harbinger 04-06-2020 08:55 AM

Found my target Colleen Wings/Agent 13........I mean widows and the crimson dynamo wave. Wish Chief Hopper came with a masked head and flo pughs vest was removable. Spymaster Crossbones and Winter Soldier are simply awesome. Dynamo is pretty damn sick too. Hopefully darkstar isnt too far off.

New Retro-Carded Mysterio figure!

https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/123112

Debating on if I want to get this one since I already have the original, but this new one does look very, very nice.

Boy Blunder 04-06-2020 09:09 AM

Agreed. If I had known this version was coming, I honestly would've skipped the previous one - that gold really does wonders for the figure's deco.

Dammit! After the last release I figure'd I'd never need another Mysterio, least of all a repaint! But this looks pretty sweet.

I wonder if he still has the Lovecraftian horror head sculpt under the globe?

Yup I totally agree. If they have to shift a lot of their plans that's fine. Early 2021 even is fine. But she's the one figure they showed at NYTF they absolutely CANNOT cancel. There will be blood, plastic blood.

Hasbro seems to hedge their releases around this very mentality. Hopefully that means a White Queen Emma & Classic She-Hulk are around the bend.

Ultra Seven 04-06-2020 11:17 AM

Best Buy also has Mysterio up: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/marvel-mondays

Of note is that they refer to “Marvel Mondays,” in which, “ The first Monday of each month you’ll find new a Marvel collectible. Assortment will include Avengers, X-Men and Marvel Legends action figures. Check back regularly to see which character is revealed, as well as previous month’s selections.” I don’t know if this was previously stated to a thing (bad memory, lot on the mind), but it seems these Fan Channel reveals are going to be on a monthly basis.

The difference being, at least for me, that I'll gladly double-dip on those two. Hell, I've already got three Jens, what's one more?

But I don't feel the pressing need to own two Mysterios, even with the nicer paint job on the new one.

That's... actually kind of a nice thing, since a lot of the reveal events are either cancelled/delayed or up in the air right now.

Trivial Psychic 04-06-2020 11:53 AM

Spotted the Widow wave on the Endcap shipper (a Maximum Venom shipper of all things...WTF Hasbro?) but it had already been picked clean of all the grey Widows. Managed to find a consolation prize though in the Killer Croc-nimation wave, so I snagged those while I could. Wasn't expecting much out of it but there's some good here. I'll try and post some pics later today.

Captain Nash 04-06-2020 11:58 AM

Marvel Mondays sounds like a nice idea! Who knows what's going to happen to SDCC and that would give Hasbro a chance for advertising (free or not).

How dare you insult Waylon Jones like that.

Nutimus Prime 04-06-2020 01:40 PM

Definitely see the Killer Croc comparison but he's huge and well detailed. I might make some ears for him.

Dr Kain 04-06-2020 01:46 PM

Mysterio does look cool, but I have the one already released.

I hope Hasbro makes a classic comics version of Abomination of that size, the last one was too short compared to the SDCC Vintage Green Hulk.

I wouldn't be opposed to them re-releasing this one either individually or in some two pack with a classic-inspired head, the body isn't totally classic Abomination but with a classic head it'd be close enough.

Hulkwummy 04-06-2020 02:27 PM

Perhaps some new sculpting would be in order for a Classic Comics Abomination.

Wow, forgot all about this "Marvel Mondays" things...so much has happened between then and now. Glad to see them keep this going, though. Looking forward to May 4th!

I love everything about the new She-Hulk, just wish she was in a classic green. I really enjoyed her story during that gray time, but as a figure I have absolutely no where to put her. I have to assume with the tooling put toward that figure, we have to see some repaints/retools down the road.

I like everything, but the head. Just doesn't give off those Abomination vibes. Wonder how one of the comic heads would look on it. Paint would probably be off on the retail version, but the SDCC Abomination had a darker green paint scheme.

EvilMonkeyPope 04-06-2020 03:06 PM

We need photos of the back of Mach-1's jetpack.

SymbiSpidey 04-06-2020 04:06 PM

Any word on whether the old BAF head will work on this body?
