That's pretty cool. I still wish Mattel was doing this version of her:

http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__...d_Equal_01.jpg

But given that the one they are doing (and the one your custom is being made into) is the more popular design, it isn't surprising.

DCUC Huntress is still unpainted so there are Possibilities with the Mask she has on that could match your idea of a classic outfit.

Gave my Hal Jordan a bit of a repaint (using a green sharpie). I like the gauntlet look of First Flight and Emerald Knights so that's what I went with.

Actually pretty happy with how this turned out.

kenm2474 12-17-2012 03:44 PM

Ok I have been looking at a number of DCUC Figures and in my own collection as well. Dose Mattel not want to touch on religious based anything? There are 2 figures that I know of that need to have a Cross as an accessory and on their Outfit. 1. Constantine needs his Holy Shotgun which is a Cross with a gun mounted on it. 2. Huntress as of now she is unpainted but she has a cross necklace or a Cross on her outfit to represent the Cross her Husband gave her before he was killed. No dc character I see by Mattel has any Cross on their outfit or Accessory. Look at all the Crosses on the outfits and Necklaces.

Easier not to have any religious symbols on toys. People get offended too often by that stuff.

Dr Kain 12-18-2012 05:56 PM

BTW, why does Marvel get its own toy discussion board but DC does not?

Because supposedly Marvel gets like at least 7 or 8 times the traffic that DC does on this site.

It use to, so did Masters, Star Wars, ect. But Marvel was #1 before the Mods screwed the pooch and all the "big marvel heads" moved on. Now I see DC and Masters get a bit more attention. Their reasoning "merging" the sections was pathetic at best. Guess they never heard of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Sure enough we got over it, no big deal.

I suppose that little paragraph will probably piss off the mods but heh, what doesn't lately?

Well it's stupid. I would be spending more time in a DC board here than I would anywhere else. I mean, I already spend enough time in this thread. When I want to talk He-Man, I go to .org. I have Bottalk and TFW for Transformers, and Tokunation and Henshin Justice for Sentai/Kamen Rider. With DC, I really only have individual topoics since I refuse to deal with the nazis on MattyColletors' forums ever again.

Porter, I think I have an outdated sales thread on this site. To put it lightly, I am selling off a bunch of Transformers, GI Joe, and He-Man stuff. However, most of what I have to sell is finally depleted.

And yet, if I made another DC thread on something, it would probably be merged with this one.

Finally, does anyone know if the Unlimited lines are going to be sold in actual stores? I want Flash.

OK. So how dose that work for Huntress and her Story with the Cross?

Tiberius 12-18-2012 11:38 PM

Mattel just won't do it. Don't think they really care about the fans to much as long as religious elitists don't sue.

ToyAddict 12-19-2012 05:51 AM

Almost all of my knowledge of DC comes from TV, cartoons, or movies. Very, VERY few comics have I read. So I saw Huntress in Justice League Unlimited -- where she had a thing for The Question and a few memorable fights. Saw her on Batman:Brave and Bold in the Birds of Prey with Black Canary and. . . Catwoman. Can't recall if I've seen her in other Batman cartoons. Even had read the Hush comic books. All that to say. . .I didn't know the cross was part of her story until the character was on CW's Arrow the last couple of weeks.

So to the masses, they can probably pretty easily get away without including it.

Besides, the white stripe down the front of her suit and across the front of her cape kinda make a cross.

Its meant too. The Cross is not mentioned so much now as it was a part of how she became Huntress. But look at her costumes as I posted a few post up and you will see how she incorporated the Cross in her outfit.

Another commission I assume? Its always nice to give the customizer who did it a shout out, lest people mistake it for your own work

Only if the new thread was also about the DC Classics line or other 6" DC toys. For example, on this site Transformers has three separate threads: G1, Beast Wars/Machines and a Catch-All for everything else. Vintage MOTU or NA could have their own threads, if the traffic is there.

Any other discussion about what Toyark staff does or doesn't do is not appropriate for this thread. We've got a suggestion thread here and you can always PM a staff member if you have questions like that.

Nice group shot, although Metal Men is a bit of a misnomer isn't it? Just ask Creeper.

PMs are really good for that, as opposed to derailing a thread like we are now. ;)
