While he's not the biggest BAF they did fit movie Thanos in a three pack with room to spare so it's not a huge stretch to imagine Nimrod sharing box space.

And there was that Hulk/ Hulkbuster Target set too, that was like 4 figures worth of plastic :D

So the Deadpool Scooter set went on sale at Walmart-now I had Zero interest in this thing but the extra parts could find a place in some specific pics... So I ended up with Squirrel Girl's Nightmare, Comic Accurate Crimson Dynamo, Wade's pal, and rejected Timber try-outs... well worth the $25.

What pistol is bob holding?

Starlord67 04-23-2020 04:17 PM

Satana WIP.

I ended up using a Wasp body for this custom. The more muscled Warbird/Moonstone body is just too expensive.

usernamedustin 04-23-2020 04:21 PM

Kinda bummed Nimrod will be coming in a 3-pack with 2 figures I don't need. It would have been cooler if they had done some sort of future villains 3-pack with Nimrod, Stryfe, and Ahab.

Agreed...The other two figures will go up for sale, trade or on EBay.

I like that Jack of Hearts in the background! The colors really pop.

Great work! And all the heads and legs just lying around give it a very massacre-ish look, even if unintended.

That'd be too good, Hasbro doesn't treat us quite that well.

Hulkwummy 04-23-2020 06:50 PM

I hope for an Age of Apocalypse 4-pack with Abyss, Mikhail, Holocaust, and Mister Sinister.

Great suggestions, I'll throw my hat in the ring again with the Acolytes box sets rumor I'm trying to start :D Exodus, Amelia Voght, Fabian Cortez, Senyaka, Frenzy and Unuscione. Second box sets with the also rans: Scanner, Neophyte, Javitz, Milan and two Kleinstock brothers.

If that seems a bit much I'll just take the first one. I'm a huge Acolytes fan. I mean, not of what they did in the stories, but they were always a very interesting group to me. I'd have to say possibly tied as my favorite X-men villains group with the Mystique led Brotherhood.

I know that's too good and they couldn't put that many villains in a set without a wolverine and/or Deadpool.

But it would be cooler...

I don't love the direction some of the Dawn of X story is going, including immortal mutants, but there's no denying the whole thing is well-written and captivating. You're doing yourself a disservice if you're sleeping on it. A lot of the plot devices are hard to describe in a way that doesn't short-sell them, but work really well in the books. I don't like the overall situation because it paints the X-Men into a terribly unheroic corner of the universe that will be hard to escape from, but I have to believe there's a plan in place. Everything feels too well thought-out for there not to be.

That said, it would seem I have very different costume taste from some of you. I love so many of the Dawn of X costumes, and honestly think most characters look the best they've ever looked, but Storm, Jean, and Betsy are notable exceptions for me. I actually think the Jubilee-wave costume is Storm's best look, and I'm still holding out hope for armoured Psylocke. I'd love to see current Rachel, Xavier, Magneto, or Wolverine, though!

Hickmans current x-men run is pretty decent, imo. The house of x/powers of x miniseries that jumped it off was well done. There are rules and mechanisms in place that make the whole dead mutants can come back to life thing way more interesting and less nonsensical than it sounds when you hear it. I like some of the designs, particularly some of the future x-men specifically the green magneto looking dude. Hickman also wrote avengers books several years back that led to secret wars in 2015. I think it's worth checking out for anyone who may be interested in his writing style.

Anyone have an X-Force Deathlok for sale?

Also Hulkbuster with that Hulk two-pack. It can be done.

I was specifically going for the three pack comparison but the Hulkbuster pack is still a good example of Hasbro putting larger figures together.

Starlord67 04-24-2020 02:54 PM

Went to Target today to pick up supplies and glory be I ran into the whole wave of Black Widow figures. Only picked up Crossbones but they all look great!! Anybody need the BAF PIECE. I'm not building this one.
