Plus from what I've read, it looks like the success of this one release will determine if the whole line continues. I have no connections with the other characters, but from the comic shots they look like they could make pretty cool action figures and could probably fit in as generic characters in random dio shots.

I really feel like I just need to give support because I'd just love to see a full line of highly articulated female action figures. It's such a rarity in our niche of collecting.

I'm not a huge fan of Lady Death either, but I have long appreciated Loose Collector's work, even if he does go bit heavy on the washes as someone mentioned.

The price is a bit high, but it doesn't bother me too much. I've paid more for a Mafex or Mezco, Mythic Legions and even a Legends or two in the past on the secondary market. While I'm sure it won't be perfect, if the paint and parts is even close to what the prototype bears (which can me done as many of the figures I just mentioned have shown) then it will be worth the cost.

I think she'll look great next to box set Gamora and Angela, as I'll probably throw her in with either my Guardians team, or with Thanos as I mentioned before.

@usernamedustin: I've seen that Purgatory figure before, and like others have mentioned, I'm just not a huge fan of the TBLeague styled seamless bodies. They're a bit too doll like for my tastes, and I worry about what time will eventually do to the softer, rubbery parts. Hopefully this new wave of figures launches, cause I'd love to see what else might come from it.

I received AOA Sunfire and Dark Beast so far. Some more figures are coming in today and I should have my 2 complete sets of the AOA wave by 5/22 that I ordered from Target during their sale.

Boy Blunder 05-15-2020 09:34 AM

Any chance anyone's looking to part with an 80th Anniversary Cap? Loose or boxed, don't matter, as long as it's got all the bits and bobs. Just wouldn't mind having a complete "80th Anniv" Big Three.

I was so dumb not to buy the whole set during their sale and kept my order with amazon which still has yet to ship.

Does anyone have the left leg for Sugar Man that they don't need? It's the last part I need. I have some random baf parts to trade or money.

Also, does anyone collect Mattel WWE figures? I want to put a Sgt. Slaughter head on a Nuke body, but I don't know if the Elite version or Basic version would be a better size. If you have one, can you take a pic please?

Ultra Seven 05-15-2020 02:07 PM

Got the new Crossbones in the mail today. Disappointed they didn’t put him on the Omega Red body, would’ve suited it better. Hate the articulation on this buck, wish they’d stop using it. It also gives me a hankering for Diamondback, which is hopefully on the radar with Hasbro’s ongoing Serpent Society kick. Halfway through with Crimson Dynamo, he looks fantastic. I can’t wait to finish him.

They are roughly the same size headwise. Regardless of the head ya choose you will likely have to do some dremeling to fit it on nukes body.

Dodge76 05-15-2020 03:09 PM

I finally got Crossbones and Stan Lee today along with my stimulus check! Dark Beast just got shipped from Dorkside! Crossing fingers for Jean Grey AOA. I plan to use her as my Rachel stand in.

Bo Ttef 05-15-2020 04:48 PM

Got my AoA wave in today as well as found a Doom at Target... Time for some shelf arranging!

I have seen comparisons where the Basic head is smaller. I am not worried about having to modify it. The basic and elite figures seem to cost about the same, so I just want the one that will look better on the Nuke body. Do you have one of the Sgt Slaughter figures? If you do, can you take a quick pic with Nuke or a similar sized ML figure?

I got mine pre-ordered last night with a gift card that I found that I lost for over a year :). Everything worked out perfectly, just hope it does not get canceled over this Virus thing.

Has anyone actually received this figure from Walmart.com yet?

I preordered one back in Feb. and it's still in the "preparing order" stage.

Loose Collector's released some images of the updated figure sculpt. I've got a feeling this figure will be moving around my collection quite a lot. I really like how she looks with Spawn!

@starlord

Loving Michael and Carina. You've just given me an idea for my next custom.

When I pre-ordered mine, it said I should get it by the 21st.

I still have my old 5 POA Lady Death from the 90's. The new one looks good but I don't know if I would buy her for the high price.

This gives me a bit more confidence in the project overall. The gang at Loose Collector have always done a good job of building their customs from scrap, and the experience shows in seeing the articulation.

It it also looks like we may be seeing a few new accessories in the form of interchangeable hands, as the ones in the comparison photos are different from those original reveal shots.

Boy Blunder 05-16-2020 08:35 AM

Of all the 90s revivals I've seen, never thought I'd be back on a forum where everyone was talking about one of the Bad Girls.

Bo Ttef 05-16-2020 09:18 AM

hinges on the wrists and ankle pivots will be missed and probably what i complain about the most with her- but she does look great so far.

To be fair, Hasbro hasn't been giving us much to get excited about with their reveals...which have largely been re-releases and repaints across all of their lines. I'll take new figure news from anywhere at this point, especially if they'll fit in with my first love in Legends.

Bo Ttef 05-16-2020 09:26 AM

Sugarman is massive and takes up way too much room... him, Nate, Holocaust and DB all came over to the 616 so I might try and find some room for them elsewhere since I hate overcrowding shelves...

...and WildChild is almost as big as the old Sabertooth- so hopefully a new Vic comes along soon

I can't stop seeing George Lopez in him... could be the big head episode or maybe SharkBoy and LavaGirl... but he definitely sounds like George in my head...
