Crossbones is a beast! One of my favorite Legends, right up there with Ares and Warpath.

Anyways, my quest for picking up the few ML's I actually like at no more than retail price is still going successfully. Found a McSpidey at Walmart, along with a Ben Reilly and X-23.

Which "McSpidey" are you talking about? 3 3/4" or a Spidey movie or legend style?

Explain this, please.

Here's a pic for reference to anyone out there who is not exactly sure what their Spidey might be. The fig on the far left is the original McFarlane Spider-Man. The fig on the far right is "streetsign" Spider-Man, also known as McFarlane Spider-Man. Both have exact sculpts with articulated fingers. Extremely posebale. Only difference is the obvious color.

Anything other than the two mentioned above are McFakes. :D

There is only one sir. And that isn't a Highlander quote.

thanks for the schooling shocks...now im a little more prepared for class... so this mcspidey must be rare, huh?

Scythe 08-18-2012 10:36 PM

They were being clearanced, so that entire aisle was a huge ass mess, though I'll go back there soon and check out what other stuff they had.

I know my spideys, the blue original I scored that a long ass time ago. The one I found at Walmart was the streetsign one, which honestly, in my honest opinion is the true McFarlane Spidey because he colored him red/black.

jmo 08-18-2012 10:38 PM

mcspidey looks like the tb ml 1st appear. spidey...not the same though i take it?

They're somewhat similar. I have the first appearance spidey as well, and off the top of my head, the biggest differences are the colors, spider emblem on his chest and back, different head, the make-shift armpit webbing and 1st appearance has a hole on his back to peg onto his flight stand.

Highly recommend it. His flight stand alone kicks so much ass and he came with a reprint of his 1st appearance comic.

kenm2474 08-18-2012 10:51 PM

Congrats on that score. McSpidey at Wally World? Wow.

Word! Sweet score!! that's tantamount to finding a regular MU Vision on the pegs. "oh, what's this? only a $100 action figure." :D

I agree with the emboldened statement above 100%.

so basically they're completely different! lol. i have both as well. they are excellent figs, but the McSpidey Bros. are all the hype with good reason.

Scythe 08-18-2012 10:57 PM

Yeah, to me it's the end all Spidey figs to end all Spidey figs. I'm glad they released him in the red/black, that was my only nitpick I had with the original.

well if its the same fig as the 1st fig in pic, then they should all move. i love this fig. the best spidey ever done...my only complaint is that its a little too tall(scale size) compared to other figs

Scythe 08-18-2012 11:06 PM

Thanks. I'll head back there soon, I may or may not be able to either get another, a Gargan Venom or an Iron Spidey.

since Spidey is almost always in crouched, or compromised poses, the scale tidbit really doesn't matter if you're going to display them.

FancyPants 08-18-2012 11:53 PM
