I was extremely late getting to a blind date because I was buying a Stryfe I found in the wild. Apparently it was worth it.

I would say that it's likely we'll get a Stryfe re-release/upgrade soon enough, next year maybe. Just me, I'd rather have Exodus done first, but that's me as someone who does have the Stryfe. I can understand the priority of Stryfe though. He's not A level X-Men villain but he's been in enough big stories and has enough ties to enough characters that he's probably B level.

Also I'm reading of speculation/discussion/rumor mongering/wishful of if what was going to be the SDCC exclusive is Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. I have thoughts on that. Dark thoughts. I mean, not so much if I get one myself, but if it ends up being the case there's going to be riots.

I hope firestar is a Walgreens exclusive.

They could do amazing friends firestar as an online SDCC set
New Warriors Firestar as a Spider-Man figure
Avengers Firestar as Walgreens
and of course in 2022 re-release SMaHAF Firestar as a single figure.

Mind you,; the other three would all need to come out in 2020/2021.


Oh on an unrelated note, Morph DID arrive today after all. I would have considered it appropriate that since I forgot I'd ordered him from Amazon as well, that Amazon would ship it and UPS would lose it in transit, never to be found.

Yah, I have seen every Walgreens exclusive at Walgreens except for Punisher... a lot of time only once though, but still counts I guess. Someone as popular as Firestar probably shouldn't be an exclusive of any kind though.

FINALLY sat down to take some pictures of figures I bought like a million years ago. I was trying to wait for the Walmart BW, but who knows how long it will take me to find her. Also, I did learn that Sauron can be used with the BW figure stand, but not very well as there were really only two flying poses I could get with it. His body is just way too thick for the arms to hold him.

^ Is Apocalypse's claw supposed to go on his left hand? I tried looking for a comic picture of him with his claw for reference, but couldn't find one. I currently have his claw on his right hand, because that is the hand it fit most naturally on... I tried to put it on his left hand at first, but it didn't quite fit and I didn't want to force it on.

He's turned his arms into all manner of weaponry over the years so there's no wrong choice regarding the claw from that perspective. This specific claw looks more like a reference to one of Toybiz's old Apocalypse figures which had a claw option for the left arm.

Because Walgreen's exclusives are a pain to get a hold of.

First and last time I preorder from Walmart. Especially since they've "pre-authorized" the payment FOUR TIMES since she was originally supposed to ship back at the beginning of April.

I've had no problems with ordering things from them in the past, but this has been a debacle from end to end, even factoring in the current worldwide problems.

And like hell in going into a Walmart right now. I have elderly parents that I'm helping take care of, last place I need to go is that petri dish.

Yeah, it's an otherwise awesome figure, but the fucked-up thing with Rogue's eyes is annoying. I managed to find one that was pretty good, but not quite perfect.

Same, and i'm so over it I almost am just ready to cancel the damn thing, it's not THAT high on my priority list to have. My opinion of Walmart and their handling of exclusives was bad already, now I simply abhor it. It has nothing to do with the delays with the virus - if the instore and online stock was all delayed for months and they didn't charge the card but one time I would have no issues. But it's not really right to have in store stock being found at this moment, when they're delaying preorders placed months ago. And I'm just not going into a Walmart if I don't have to right now. They're nasty places in general at least around here. The current situation has only made them a mind field.

I'm very lucky that, with the layout of the closest store, if I feel like I actually need to check there for anything, the Garden Center entrance is practically right next to the toy aisle, so I can be in and out in a hot minute. But I'm not chancing that right now.

Like, I really want this Widow, more than any of the other tie-in versions (honestly, only picked up the Deluxe Widow because I found her in the wild and had the money to grab her, though I'm ultimately happy with the purchase), so I'm not entirely ready to cancel the order, but damn if I'm not tired of just being jerked around on it so much.

Oh this is funny. Literally just got the email that the Black Widow shipped. Maybe the Walmart online distribution people were stalking the boards. :p
