No idea what is up with the shark with legs, but I'll be keeping most of that wave, so that's good.

BTW, that Spider-Man reviewer dude reviewed Gwen today and showed that the Gwen body is the same size as Jubilee, but he never showed if the MJ head could fit on the other MJ body.

Looks like I am gonna need a Strong Guy head, right arm, and left leg. Anyone looking to sell those? :D

I think blue Deadpool will be the double pack. What do the rest of you think?

Other than pirate pool this wave is pure awesomeness. I mean SHIKLAH and Black Tom those are putta left field but totally welcome. Now we just need feral to round out the feetless xforce! ;)

Hulkwummy 05-31-2020 10:50 AM

I knew they were gonna put another Deadpool in the wave, but I was holding out unreasonable hope that Feral would be one of the last 2 figures in this wave.

Thor Laserpunch 05-31-2020 11:18 AM

Maverick, Black Tom, and Warpath will fill my holes real good. What? I mean holes in my collection.

Shiklah is straight outta left field and Jeff is the best accessory ever. Pirate DP, c’mon haters, that figure looks fun as hell.

Boy Blunder 05-31-2020 11:19 AM

Holy shit. Jeff. My wife is gonna explode.

EDIT: Can't believe I only just thought about this, but what are the odds that, now that we have a Black Tom, a new Banshee might be coming sooner rather than later?

hasbroherofan 05-31-2020 11:47 AM

Jeff!

Very good odds. The math I did in my head works out like this:
FA Storm + Warpath + Black Tom = Banshee + Thunderbird

hasbroherofan 05-31-2020 12:26 PM

If the rumors of Thunderbird being in a two-pack with Storm are true, then they'd have done modern versions of every member of the All-New, All-Different X-Men except Banshee. So he's definitely in the pipeline.

Veronica Mars 05-31-2020 12:28 PM

Ugh so much meh for the last two figures in that wave

Q Prime 05-31-2020 12:47 PM

Man, landshark is the most adorable thing since the child.

Wasn't Storm as much as confirmed as a Walgreens exclusive? Where did the 2-pack thing come from?

Couple pages back there's a picture of the slide from Toy Fair confirming her as a Target exclusive. The 2 pack rumor came about a week after Toy Fair. During the Pulse live stream last week the team said all the Walgreen's exclusives this year would be Avengers related

Ultra Seven 05-31-2020 01:34 PM

So, looking close at Pirate Deadpool, I see a lot of Corsair. I believe those are new arms, as well as the flintlock. I think we might be seeing Starjammers soon (and if not, it looks like an easy custom).

Ahh, Target right. Thanks. But did the 2-pack rumor come from Hasbro or just random internet talk?

EvilMonkeyPope 05-31-2020 02:44 PM

Shiklah & Black Tom aren't out of left field since they frequently guest star in Deadpool's title.

Does it really count as guest starring when Shiklah debuted in and only ever really appears in Deadpool comics? It's more accurate just to say she's a Deadpool character. I stopped reading Deadpool's solo series somewhere back in volume 2 so I'm not familiar with Shiklah beyond basic internet research but that shark with legs is kinda appealing.

SymbiSpidey 05-31-2020 03:32 PM

Okay, that Pirate Deadpool is just the kind of wacky fun I love in my figures. Can't say I know too much about Shiklah myself but the im excited to scoop up that whole wave.

I'm just kinda surprised she got made at all tbh.

I agree. The neck piece could be for the rumored Hellfire members.

Hasbro was really cagey at Toy Fair about how Storm was being released, beyond her being a Target exclusive, and people took their responses to mean she might be part of a set (which they neither really said nor didn't say). Then someone on the Fwoosh came out and claimed to have access to info from a distributor that indicated Storm was part of a two-pack with Thunderbird, and some of that source's other info has subsequently shown up in other distributor leaks. A US distributor wouldn't have had info about a Target product, but I'm admittedly not sure if they were US-based.

Weak, except... aren't both of those figures far more valuable than the ones they replaced? That's actually not a bad deal at that price.

Hmm, interesting. Guess it doesn't really matter since I need both but I never heard that before. Thanks.

Prices on both kinda tanked since that set became more widely available-- I assume since they are not most folks' preferred versions. Colossus was running around $35-40 loose at one point but now about $25 (and this one only has the beardy head). Juggernaut used to run probably $70-80 and now he's closer to $35-40. It's not a terrible price but I don't see what the point of putting it in that box was except to trick someone who's not paying attention... and the battle damage helmet doesn't even color match that figure. My statement stands! :p
