^ I Saw AoA Wolverine at my Target on Monday... only saw that one fig on the pegs though, but when I scanned it the display said one on hand and 8 in the back... whatever that means.
Also... I really like all those kitbash Siryns. |

I was in a Target today (NY) and saw Dark Beast, Wild Child, Morph, and X-Man. Passed them by because I don't care about this wave but they're out there.

I know the feeling, but if you can't find any Marvel Legends figures in stores, they're always Amazon.com

I haven't seen the inside of a non grocery or walgreens store in over a month so I could say that I've been successful at finding something every time I've been out except for those two places.
And I got the AOA wave on Saturday but I was out of town until today. Got some good thoughts and rankings. Every figure is well done, but I still have my preferences of course. Sunfire - least interesting of the wave for me personally but only because I already have the exclusive from a decade ago and he still holds up pretty good. But I can see people placing him much higher in the wave if they don't have the old one. It's a nice update, regardless. Sugar Man - I'm happy to add him to the collection but he was never a figure that caught on for me. I am having a hell of a time getting the leg that comes with Morph to attach though. tried several things but nothing's working, guess i'll have to heat it up. Again, the sculpt is very well done, he's disgusting, I rank him so low only due to personally preferences. Jean - She's just...okay. I have nothing against the figure but it's probably the most boring of the wave. But I like the design from 25 years ago so she ranks a little higher than she might otherwise. Wild Child - And yes, we NEED an updated Sabretooth, but still on his own, he can be for either AOA or 616 Universe, quite honestly. The body is bland but that matches the comic. The face is very emotive though. X-Man - I really debated on switching this and the next one, but this one ranks here just because the design is not quite as stylistic as the next character. Still it's quite comic accurate, I hate the fact his psionic signature is not removable, but otherwise a really well done figure. And it adds another new character to the table. Weapon X- personally didn't need another version of Wolverine, but of course we were going to get one with an AOA wave. He's really well done, and lots of artistic cohesiveness from the books coming through. Although, is it just me, or did the prototype we saw from SDCC have even wilder bigger hair? Either way, really great figure and I can see why some would rank him the best of the wave. Morph - I know he's a big bland but we get a Morph! AOA and Exiles and that's just awesome. He probably doesn't, as a figure, deserve to be this high but I'm just thrilled at his inclusion so he's my runner up in the wave, dammit. Dark Beast - From the get go of the reveal this was going to be my top figure of this wave. And of course I got the other one about a month ago, just to be sure I had this figure in case something happened and I didn't get the whole set. He's perfect, sinister, creepy and menacing. They really captured the mad genius in his face really well. And of course the body comes with most of the advantages of the body from the 616 Beast, which was my #1 figure from last year. This is a really solid wave, giving us a lot of crossover and inclusion for characters that made it to the 616 universe, but only half the wave is made up of really heavy hitting names from the story. So this is a really good start, but hoping not a finish. We need Magneto, Cyclops, Sabretooth, and Rogue at VERY least. Storm, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Abyss and an updated Nemesis would round out a nice wave and two pack. But I want them to go deeper - Quicksilver, Dazzler, Iceman, Banshee, Damask, Dead Man Wade (which isn't that important to the storyline but you know will come), Sinister, Rasputin, Gambit, Shadowcat, Colossus, and I could go on. But I will mention one character that doesn't get a lot of mention I've seen and that's Bishop. He's integral to the story. If not for him the entire 616 universe would have been replaced by AOA forever. |

No, you're not the only one sick n tired of the umpteenth DP taking up a slot that a never before done character coulda been done in. I just got the 90s classic 1st app version & that's all I want or ever need of a Wade Wilson based DP figure. |
I was watching a video review on youtube for AoA Wolverine and the reviewer was doing a bunch of different Wolvie head swaps and I liked the look of AoA Wolverine's head on the Caliban Weapon X body so much that I went back to my Target and bought AoA Wolverine just for the headsculpt. I mean the skin tone is not exactly the same, but it is like 99% the same... I just love the look of the AoA headsculpt with the Caliban Weapon X body though... I always thought Weapon X Wolverine should have giant wild feral looking hair. But then I also kinda like the look of AoA Wolverine too... I really wish AoA Wolverine came with two Wolverine heads.

Anyway, thinking about pirate Deadpool, that totally looks like a pre-tool for Hellfire Club members. That jacket alone looks like it'll be good for them, or for fodder to make custom ones. |

And I hope this is ok to post here, but I noticed a few ML posters in the Spawn Kickstarter thread. If anyone is looking to get rid of an Artist Proof figure let me know. Thanks, back to your ML discussions.

Wife just sent me a text, having preordered the whole DP wave. Might end up selling a few later, we'll see, but at least I don't have to worry about it.
Also, weird seeing the love for AoA Weapon X - personally, I feel he's the stinker of the wave. I'm debating just getting rid of him, depending on if we get more AoA characters or not (and also depending on how he looks with Jean, once she arrives). |

Grabbed him up so my trip wasnt an utter loss. Wish dorkside or bbts would hurry up and get that gotdamned wave instock. Im tired of coming up zilch at retail.
