What is this "screw method" y'all are talking about?

2. Screw a small screw partially into the chunk of broken peg stuck in the thigh. 3. Pull the peg out. 4. Take the screw out. 5. Screw the screw into the the other side (mushroom) of the peg and into the hip where it broke off and use some glue in between. 6. Heat up the thigh and pop it back on. Use a screw with a head that is smaller than the mushroom peg. Drilling small pilot holes really helps. Don't screw the screw in too far and put it into the thigh when trying to pull the broken peg out. Make sure it is well heated before you pull out the broken part. Make sure the screw head is flush or drill out a bit in the thigh to allow room for the screw. |
I found the whole AOA wave at all three of my Walmarts some weeks ago. I only picked and chose certain ones. The rest sold out quickly.

Also, this screw method sounds great! Is there a video tutorial anywhere? |

There's a bunch more to check out for various ways. I use my dremel and panhead screws. You can use dental implant screws too. |

I started with a damaged Angela torso because I thought a bigger torso might work better to fit the arms. My original arm layout was garbage, destroyed torso. Then I tried on a retro Dazzler and destroyed that too, but kept using it to try out various placement. Junker disco Dazzler torso was next and I tried a different method on each side, destroyed torso. Back to another retro Dazzler and that is the final product. To get the holes lined up, I had the standard arms inserted and put a dab of paint on the end of the peg on the second arm. I marked where I needed to drill on the torso with then peg and used the actual shoulder to measure where it needed to go. Drill a shallow pilot hole on the dot and then drill/dremel until you have a second socket just underneath the original. Then drill the hole for the peg at a slightly upward angle to avoid going into the torso joint area. Re-insert both arms and then repeat the process for the third arm. If I did it again, I could get it cleaner. The lower arm socket is perfect, but I took too much off the back and the curve ended up too big. I never do WIP photos because I work in a total frenzy and don't want to stop. Probably too much info at this point... |

Has anyone here ever ordered from megalopolis toys? Any issues?

I placed an order on Black Friday. Stayed up late to wait for their deals to go through. Got a good portion of what I was looking for, but as to be expected, certain items went out of stock as I was trying to place the order (see Wendigo wave). My final order contained some Black Series, a wave of DC Multiverse and the first Vintage X-Men wave. Flash forward twelve days later and my shipment hadn't moved at ALL. I proceed to email them and they let me know that the order will now be put to the top of their priority list. Another three days go by and nothing, so I finally call them. They proceed to tell me that they no longer have the Vintage X-Men in stock (as well as one of my Black Series figures). As you can imagine, at this point two weeks later, I was very annoyed that they did not have an item in stock and I didn't really believe it. Had they shipped sooner, I imagine my items that I originally paid for would have still been in stock. They then tried to tell they could give me store credit, which I fought them on. I got a partial refund and then received the items after another week, and it certainly wasn't their world class packaging they speak of. The fact that their free shipping threshold is $150 has kept me from placing any further orders because at that point, their sale prices aren't worth it. Anywho… my two cents. I'm sure others have had a better experience. |

Also, free shipping doesn't kick in until you hit $150? Fuck that. |

I can understand if you're a smaller company, that maybe you need to offset your costs by offering free shipping at a higher rate, but I agree. Turns me away for sure. |
