I still like the Moon Knight we most recently got.

Just to be safe, i went and ordered online from the hasbropulse aka hasbro toy shop whatever, Marvel Legends Age of Apocalypse Weapon X/Wolverine.

Any X-Men Marvel Legends figures they do not last long in stores like Walmart where they get bought up real fast while Avengers Endgame even the Captain Marvel movie build a figure wave theyre still pegwarming like crazy even the Demogoblin wave.

urrutiap 06-04-2020 12:22 PM

Do people just not like any Captain Marvel movie action figures especially Samuel Jackson in a suit?

Boy Blunder 06-04-2020 12:47 PM

Well, I bought almost all the Carols (except Binary Form) and the two comics-based figures, but the rest held no interest for me. I've got an older MCU Fury, so I didn't need the younger one; the MCU skrulls don't appeal to me, design-wise; and I couldn't give a crap about Yon-Rogg.

I wasn’t feeling that wave at all, but I’m a sucker for cheap suited bodies, so I have a stable of headless Sam L’s in my collection.

Harbinger 06-04-2020 01:10 PM

Well i shall wait for bbts ee or dorkside to get the wave in. Thanx for the info all.

Oh saw this on bbts.....”Hello.....Newman.”

I prefer Dorkside. Sometimes there is a delay but I’ve always been guaranteed what I ordered. Nothing has ever been cancelled. Also free shipping at $99 or more, most of the time their prices are cheaper (with the exception of a Gamestop, Amazon, or Target discount offer), no tax, and they often sell the individual BAF or loose figures.

My 2 sets of the AOA wave came in a while ago from Target. I would have ordered them from Dorkside if Target wasn’t having their sale.

I can't use punctuation even periods or commas or anything to make it easy to read the long thing I posted so long it just goes on and doesn't make any sense because I can't use anything to break up what I am saying and I say stuff that really doesn't make sense but I am really surprised you read this far because even I am really annoyed with myself for typing like this I guess I lied though and I do actual use punctuation but mostly jst a period to end my paragraph what a surprise twist for those that stuck in this far.

urrutiap 06-04-2020 02:04 PM

shut the hell up. What are you? An English teacher? Get the fudge outta here

urrutiap 06-04-2020 02:11 PM

I am being serious anyway about X-Men figures since the Caliban wave last year where they popped up at Walmart and then poof they were gone. Now you can still find one or two of the Caliban wave, but theyre a bit overpriced at the gamestop shops.

All you ever see at Walmart for Marvel Legends are pegwarming Avengers Endgame, Captain Marvel movie wave and half of the Demogoblin and now half of the Fantastic Four +Super Skrull wave.

Dr Doom and She Hulk were the hot ones and they got bought up

Like i said. With the new Age of Apocalypse wave, Wolverine/Weapon X will get bought up because both its a Wolverine figure and X-Men.

Noone wants Avengers Endgame or Captain Marvel Movie figures where they're still pegwarming in the toy aisle

urrutiap 06-04-2020 02:11 PM

Heck even Spider-Man Far From Home figures are clogging up the toy rack in the aisle

It wasn't that much of a pain in the ass to do it when I did the final one, but it took awhile to figure out where everything would fit.
I started with a damaged Angela torso because I thought a bigger torso might work better to fit the arms. My original arm layout was garbage, destroyed torso. Then I tried on a retro Dazzler and destroyed that too, but kept using it to try out various placement. Junker disco Dazzler torso was next and I tried a different method on each side, destroyed torso. Back to another retro Dazzler and that is the final product.

To get the holes lined up, I had the standard arms inserted and put a dab of paint on the end of the peg on the second arm. I marked where I needed to drill on the torso with then peg and used the actual shoulder to measure where it needed to go. Drill a shallow pilot hole on the dot and then drill/dremel until you have a second socket just underneath the original. Then drill the hole for the peg at a slightly upward angle to avoid going into the torso joint area. Re-insert both arms and then repeat the process for the third arm.

If I did it again, I could get it cleaner. The lower arm socket is perfect, but I took too much off the back and the curve ended up too big. I never do WIP photos because I work in a total frenzy and don't want to stop. Probably too much info at this point...

Welp, I have to spend $120 because that sounds mortifying. :cry

You do give me hope that Hasbro can figure out how to do her without a huge shoulder hump though.

I dunno, in-hand the hump isn't terribly noticeable, and I mean, it kind of makes some anatomical sense for her back to be that jacked from having three pairs of arms constantly moving.

Just bought GG & Jackson suit fig at discount for $16. Rest of wave & BAF was pure caca!

Boy Blunder 06-04-2020 09:19 PM

So, here's a thought:

They've done Marvel Super Heroes, they've done X-Men, and now they've done Spider-Man.

What are the odds of Hasbro doing 'retro-style' waves based on the other 90s toylines that Toy Biz did? Fantastic Four, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, maybe even Silver Surfer. I mean, if they did an Iron Man wave, it'd be a cheeky way for them to FINALLY release that Silver Centurion armor y'all have been chomping at the bit for, along with some lesser-known characters like Century or, god willing, Hypnotia.

I mean, even if they only did one wave apiece, that'd still give them the opening to do a couple of surprise characters/updates, right?

I don't like the hump at all, but you can use this torso if you want to start an easier custom. I bought the helmet from the same place.

I could see a Hulk wave where some the figures could have a bit of a higher price tag. I'd say the wave would be a new Green She Hulk, maybe a new Red She Hulk too, both reuses of the gray She Hulk buck with some modifications. Maybe they'd take the new BAF Abomination and give him a more comic accurate head or maybe we'll get an official A-Bomb. I could see a new Doc Samson too. Maybe we'll finally get a new Joe Fixit Gray Hulk too. Just throwing some ideas out there.
But if it's an Iron Man wave, we better get a Silver Centurion. That and a new Stealth armor are the only 2 armors I want. I'd take a Hypnotia or Whiplash/Backlash (I always forget which was in the show).

I think we're maybe not too far off from a re-do of the Mojoverse characters. Just hoping they can engineer that so it's lower profile, anatomical accuracy be damned

I wish my painting skills were good enough for all that.

And then my greatest fear... I collect all the parts to do a custom and then they put her on Pulse the next week

I would definitely be in for a Hulk line of big figures like Fixit, Zzzax, gamma mutants, etc.. Or whatever. Anything Hulk. Give us Gen. Ross and Rick Jones even. And we def need a new classic Shulkie (and repaints) on that grey body buck.

IM cartoon line I'd be happy if we got just a redeco of the 80th figure with plain yellow armor. But they should rerelease Dreadknight while they're at it.

Nutimus Prime 06-05-2020 07:00 AM

Can anyone think of a repurpose for the MCU M'Baku torso? I'm going through my parts bins brainstorming random projects. I think I have a use for the fur but curious about what anyone else sees.

Thor Laserpunch 06-05-2020 07:11 AM

Random knight of Wundagore mebbe? Mayhaps if you had the Titus head laying around you could do Sir Lyan.

Veronica Mars 06-05-2020 07:19 AM

A Hulk wave could be cool, they could do a classic green Shulkie, Harpy, Classic Wendigo, Doc Sampson, Maestro, A-Bomb, Gen Ross, Talbot, Betty or Rick

Doing a 90's animated Iron Man wave would be a good way to Mass release Dread Knight, They could Include Hypnotia, Century, A new Madam Masque, Backlash. Of a seven figure wave I would guess at least 3 of them would be Alt Iron Man armors, who knows maybe the Biggest BaF in history could be Ultimo

Another FF wave would be a good way to get more Inhumans Like Crystal, Karnak, Gorgon and Triton, it wouldn't be a stretch to do Namorita, a mass release Silver Surfer, They have the teen boy body from Miles they could do a modern Franklin, they're are plenty of FF villains, They could even make Lockjaw the BaF
