While we are talking about Joes, here is some crossover action.

I spent about as much time on this figure as Marvel spent on the character before they offed him.

I'll have to try a couple sets and see what's up. Maybe it's more noticeable on rifles.

Speaking of, anybody got the Little Armory bike who can post some size comparisons?

hasbroherofan 06-05-2020 02:40 PM

Still hate that Cable is gonna be a Walmart exclusive. It's near impossible to get anything from them.

[QUOTE=usernamedustin;834678]Dammit. I skipped the deluxe Snake-Eyes because I knew Hasbro would do an all black retail version, but I am not happy that they changed the guns. It's the right Uzi with the Punisher, but it doesn't have the silencer and I was actually hoping you meant a handgun. I snagged a Little Armory set for Snake-Eyes. It isn't an Uzi, but it is a similar gun and fits in with the rest of the Classified updated weapons. I put the silencer on the one without the extended stock.

To be fair...the MP7 in that pic was a weapon that Snake Eyes has used...as he traded the mini uzi for it in the G.I.Joe movies.

They are a tad bit smaller as they are meant to be used with smaller 1/12 true scale figures such as Revoltech and Figmas. Legends are slightly bigger than true 1/12 scale.

Little Armory stuff is cool, but since they are technically model kits, they can be a pain in the ass to assemble, glue and paint...especially the smaller parts such as the iron sights. They are definitely not meant for frequent play.

I wish Marauders Gun Runners would do more stuff in 1:12 scale. The few things I got from them are all great.

Hey thanks man you got one for me. Haha i kid. Nice haul.

urrutiap 06-05-2020 04:14 PM

Update time.

Hanging out at my sister's place right now after some good shopping finds at Walmart.

The Walmart stores does or did have most of the Age of Apocalypse X Men wave. Funny thing about is that they did have 2 Dark Beasts along with 2-3 AOA Weapon X/Wolverine along with Wild Child, Morph, Jean grey. I grabbed the Jean Grey and Wild Child to buy them of course.

Then i went over to the movies and game section to get Xenoblade 1 for Nintendo Switch.

then I went back over the toy aisle and BAM. no more Dark Beasts which someone else got ahold of them which is a bummer because Dark Beast has the other two extra arms for Sugar Man.

So far I have Wolverine, Jean Grey and Wild Child . Now all I need to get is X-Man, Morph and Sunfire before those get bought up later this weekend.

At least Im catching up this time on a build a figure wave where it was hard to keep up with the Caliban wave when they first came out in Walmart etc last year.

urrutiap 06-05-2020 04:17 PM

Im hoping Hasbro starts making another new wave of Age of Apocalypse figures next year or so. They still need to make these

Age of Apocalypse Sabretooth since they just released Wild Child
Age of Apocalypse Abyss
Age of Apocalypse Shadow King in a jar paired up with either Mr Sinister or Cyclops or Havok
Age of Apocalypse Bishop

I don't want it, but when it hits <$20, I generally will pick up any ML two-pack for custom fodder.

The hard part is figures don't go on clearance near me anymore and if they do, the scalpers have already snatched them all up as if they are friggin psychics as to the exact second a store was going to discount it. That's what happened with all of the X-Men vintage figures and the Spider-Man/Kraven 2 pack. That's probably also why I can't find the Walmart Black Widow.

Why do you ask about Fantomex? It is common practice to stick a highly desired figure with a less desirable figure or two. That is why multipacks exist. To get you to buy a figure you didn't really want because it is bundled with a figure you REALLY want. Welcome to the toy aisle.
I guess I was expecting a character who actually has some relevancy to Nimrod instead of just another masked goon.

Storm and Thunderbird make sense. Rogue and Pyro make sense. Movie Deadpool and Nega make sense.

Fantomex, did he even ever actually fight Nimrod?

Veronica Mars 06-05-2020 05:09 PM

Gotta say Hasbro is quite clever with these Fox X-Men movie figures, I mean in a year or two there will be all new MCU X-Men figues for folks to scramble for so definitely cash in on the old ones while you can

Are you offering me those weapons that are still in the box without the figure?

I stopped reading new X-books a couple of years ago but to my knowledge they never fought. The only issue they were both in that I know of was #8 of Remender's Uncanny X-Force and Nimrod was just deactivated on display.

Fantomex and Psylocke have a whole thing.

Thanks for the info. I was looking for an M79 and some other stuff that is hard to find in scale and I guess I will keep looking as the more I think about it, they're probably not something I wanna be swapping in and out of tight hands.

urrutiap 06-05-2020 06:16 PM

Im surprised people are being sneaky ninja like from earlier today while i was at Walmart in the toy aisle to look for the Age of Apocalypse X-Men figures. I left the toy aisle for 10 minutes to go roam the movies and videogame area and then poof, Dark Beast figures are long gone.

Guess other people really like Dark Beaset alot more than AOA Weapon X/Wolverine

urrutiap 06-05-2020 06:17 PM

also when did Sugar Man wield Thor's hammer anyway? I dont recall seeing Sugar Man even have the hammer in any of the Age of Apocalyse comic books back then in the 1990s

Who doesn't Psylocke have a thing with though? She's like the... nevermind...

I figured out how to use the ignore list here and put a single name on it. It isn't easy to find. I don't like how this forum lets you still see every single ignored post.

Yeah. Obviously Thor's hammer is the one that says SPICE. :D

Dodge76 06-05-2020 08:20 PM

I just pre-ordered the GiJoe wave on Dorkside. I can't wait. I hope wave 2 has the rest of the ones in that picture art on the back of the packaging. I want Cobra Commander, Baroness, and Gung-Ho! Then Storm Shadow, Flint, Lady J and Shipwreck to trickle out with some cobra soldiers and Vipers. Also need Major Bludd!

Sugar Man having a hammer is definitely a thing.

Hasbro just likely saved a little money by reusing a Mjolnir mould (with the Sugar detailing added) rather than tooling a new prop instead.
