I finally opened my modern Batman (legacy). Is the quality of plastic used on these figs the same as DCU Classics figs? To me it feels lighter and cheaper plastic...

Mattel changed the plastic they use to a softer and cheaper kind, starting with the Antimonitor wave (Maybe the wave before it). The two Batman Legacy figures I have (Catman and Batgirl) use the exact same plastic.
So to answer your question, yes. But it's been a little while since they did.

Thanks man, I hadn't seen it yet. Looks cool, but he has a goofy look on his "face".

The Wave 16 Bane CnC has weak joints and the quality of the plastic could have been better, plus the figure seems to fall over every once in a while. It has been hard to keep him displayed because of this, but it hasn't gotten damaged so far.

felks22us 12-26-2011 09:22 AM

he looks cool I so cant wait for the third game to come out , they left AC so open on it . I have plans to get all the DC Direct AC line for the good old wall show lol ....

Are there two different Joker figures that come in the Arkham City two-pack?

I really just want the Joker so I've been looking on eBay and noticed some are listed as "toxic blast" version, but I can't tell in the pictures I'm seeing if that is different from the ones that aren't labeled that.

CLASSIFIED 01-05-2012 08:40 AM

I think the Joker from the Robin 2 pack is the toxic blast version while the single carded Joker is the regular version.

Optimus Vader 01-05-2012 08:45 AM

There's a single carded Legacy "Arkham City" style Joker?

No. The only single carded Arkham-based figures are the Harley and Nightwing figures coming in wave three. Only single-carded Joker figure in the line has been the Golden age Joker.

CLASSIFIED 01-05-2012 10:22 AM

Well I thought there were 2 different Jokers released, but maybe I'm missing something.

Are they both in 2 packs or something?

Thanks. That's what I thought.

There is a single carded Joker, but it's that old school looking one with the trench coat. I'm after the Arkham Asylum/City style... I was really just wondering if that two pack had a Joker "variant" because of the way some people describe their listing for it on eBay.

CLASSIFIED 01-05-2012 11:54 AM

I don't know Vader. I could have sworn there was a regular Arkham Joker and one that was affected by the disease he gets in the game or whatever.

There might be... that's what I'm trying to find out.

With the DCD line running as well, sometimes it gets confusing.

LXL_Guy 01-05-2012 01:56 PM

They're making a Hush figure...ugh...another pass if that's true.

cainraw 01-05-2012 04:47 PM

Which of these are the hard to find ones, if any? I've been seeing them pop up, en masse at ever target I go to, any good trade fodder?

ToyAddict 01-05-2012 08:13 PM

IDK. . .maybe Batgirl and Joker will turn out to be good fodder in the long run, maybe the wave 2 Batman. Also the Arkham Batman/Two-Face 2pack is taking off.

Noticed my Walmart had the 2packs clearanced down to $21. Only had the Gordon/Proto-Bat movie set though. . .

Optimus Vader 01-05-2012 08:20 PM

I just bought the Arkham Joker from the two pack on eBay for $13 shipped. I didn't want Robin. He's dumb.

DogFashionDisco 01-05-2012 08:20 PM

I hope this info helps.....
There was a DCD Arkham Asylum Joker put out around the time of that game's release. An old school Joker was then released in the Legacy line, and there are two versions of a sick Joker on the market (the poorly painted one comes in the Joker/Robin 2-pack, and there was an NYCC exclusive one that is pretty decent). If you guys are willing to cough up the cash for a good Joker figure, go with the first one I mentioned, I have it, and it is phenomenal.

I forgot the rerelease of the DCUC All-Star Joker. It is pretty similar to the Legacy one, but with subtle differences.

felks22us 01-06-2012 10:31 AM

I got both Legacy Edition 2 pack but for now they would be on the wall for now planning to get DCD wave 1 and 2 just to have them they look so much better on DCD i believe . I need to get the classic joker from wave one DCuc batman Legacy wave 1 I keep on passing him up .thats going to bit me in the butt later ....

Optimus Vader 01-06-2012 10:43 AM

Thanks, DFD. I was wondering why people describe the Arkham Legacy Joker as "the sick" one, when there's only one "Arkham City" style Legacy Joker figure... led to think there was a variant Joker in that two pack. If there's only one, I don't know why they don't just say "the Arkham City version."

My favorite Batman is the Keaton one, so that's the one DCUC Batman fig I have, and want to keep as my only Batman... the DCD and Marvel Select stuff looks good, but I like the "it's a toy" aspect of the DCUC/Legacy/Infinite Earth Club/Whatever they call it now. In the past I've bought an MS or DCD fig because the sculpt looks good in store, but then my scale is all out of whack when I get home and put it next to a DCUC fig.

eva00kai 01-18-2012 10:57 AM

Wonder is series 3 is ever going to hit stores

No problem, I'm glad to help. I noticed recently that a lot of the Joker/Robin sets are being split up and sold on ebay for twice as much.

Shin Densetsu 01-18-2012 12:59 PM

I have the Arkham 2 packs and .....the Joker Robin pack is decent but Robin feels kind of cheap and flimsy. Joker has a good sculpt and paint apps but could be better. 2Face...no. Just no..

Batman is the most solid Arkham figure, the TRU blue one being the best for some reason. Feels more solid than the black/grey one.

If these were sculpted by the 4H, they would've been better.

Optimus Vader 01-18-2012 01:22 PM

Here are a couple pictures of the Arkham Joker. I bought him on eBay for about $13 shipped (didn't want Robin). I really like the Arkham look for the Joker. The paint apps are all pretty dead on--maybe with the "messy makeup" Arkham look it helps hide paint errors. My only complaint, and this could just be mine, is that his legs have a little bit of an outwards curl, so his feet when standing straight up aren't 100% flush with the surface.

P.S. The Joker's makeup is supposed to be wearing off or smeared.
