He does have a distinctive style, I'll give you that, but when I can't make out half of what is going on because it looks like a child drew all over the page, there's a problem. I also had that issue with the X-Factor comics in X-Cutioner's Song. I've seen 4th graders that draw better.

At least they had feet. ;)

Have you read his Dr.Strange stuff? It's an amazing fit for his style. Super fun story.

Liefeld would be turning over in his grave if he saw legs that didn’t terminate in wispy little points!

Very much so. Bachalo excels when he gets to draw weird, wild, otherworldly stuff.

Is he doing Strange Academy?

Is anyone planning to buy Wildchild and AoA Weapon X but not building Sugar Man?

It's not a super deep cut, but it's about an inch long and the exposed blue plastic is really unsightly (it's one of the few parts of the figure made out of blue plastic, since it's a piece that's mostly his blue trunks). I contacted Hasbro and they said their warehouses are out of the figure already, so they're going to send me some other random figure instead, but I'm wondering if the issue is widespread or just an issue with mine. I imagine it's an isolated case, because there's also a visible scuff on the same piece, like someone dropped the piece after painting and then put it back on the assembly line. I compared it to blue Beast, though, and there's definitely missing plastic, not just missed paint.

Nah. Think you just got a jacked up one.

I'm pretty sure Liefield isn't dead. (:

To each their own, but I'm still head over heels for the Generation Next art, just like I was when I originally read the stories as a kid. Bachalo's definitely more stylized than many artists, and I prefer his 90s work to a lot of his more recent stuff, but I think Gen Next was beautiful.

Still waiting on Bullseye Hawkeye, Marvel Boy and Dark Ms. Marvel so we can complete the Dark Avengers.

If not Bullseye then Trickshot will also do, I guess.

And a new iron patriot on the better ironman body. That dinky one from a few years back is appalling. Plus we need a norman osborne head.

I definitely agree about his work on Gen X

This is probably on of my favorite pieces by him

I love that piece. Also really fond of this one.

And any excuse he has to draw modern Magik.

Yeah, I don't even get that one. I mean, was it about the tattoo? The ripped clothes?

And in response to the upcoming explanation...

Humberto Ramos is doing Strange Academy. Big fan of his also but again, I think he's got such a distinctive style that he's a "love him or hate him" artist.

Starlord67 06-19-2020 07:39 PM

Why has Marvel Legends not tackled the Watcher and MEPHISTO? I don't think MS is gonna rerelease those two even though they should.

Didn't we get Bullseye Hawkeye all the way back in the Hulkbuster wave I think? That Hawkeye with the metal arm?

Thor Laserpunch 06-19-2020 08:15 PM

That was Allfather wave I think and that's also what I thought that specific look was supposed to be.

Technically yes.... I've seen a couple displays where they've put the unmasked Bullseye head on that Hawkeye body

Well we are getting one with the retro wave Green Goblin but they could re-use it with a new Iron Patriot.

Re: Hawkeye;
I wouldn't mind seeing his West Coast Avengers look getting a proper Legends release, especially with the upcoming deluxe War Machine and the rumors that Silver Centurion is happening.

To each their own, but technically the Hawkeye in that wave is actually Clint Barton.

It appears to be based off of his "Heroic Age" appearance and goes along with their release of Mockingbird in the Red Onslaught wave. Though the costume's not that appealing and close enough to Bullseye's look from "Dark Reign", so most just fudge him in there.

The real tell, that this is actually Clint and not Bullseye, is the figure's exposed skin on the non-armored arm. Clint's known for his "Sun's Out, Guns Out" aesthetic, but Bullseye's "Hawkeye" costume actually covers the skin of his entire body sans eyes and mouth, a mirroring of the degenerate's classic costume.
