The distribution on DCU and BU is pretty awful around here. I saw the Penguin at a KMart 2 weeks ago and Superman at a ToysRUs maybe 2 weeks before that. Otherwise, the line doesn't exist at retail. They're probably waiting to stock up on Injustice Batman and his repaint.

Poison Shadow 04-18-2013 08:05 AM

The distribution for the Unlimited lines are extremely bad. For the past couple of months, Target has been the only place I could find them in my area - or rather, one of my Targets. Out of three. That's pretty bad. The one that does carry them has had nothing but a Penguin and a New 52 Batman pretty much this whole time.

My local Toys R Us only started carrying them within the past couple of weeks - and on Tuesday I finally found Batgirl. I was very excited about it, too, 'cause that hunt was lookin' pretty grim for a while there. I don't even want to know how long it'll take to get DKR Batman... or Damian Robin and Batman Beyond further down the line.

Dr Kain 04-18-2013 08:06 PM

One of my friends brought the game over today and after about an hour, it started to get fun. I tried out most of the characters, but it is Flash I am trying to focus the most on. I like the super attacks, but the combat seems a little slow and I don't like how there is not actual kick button from O. I'm way too used to having all four buttons be some type of attack, so right now, I suck at this game. It seems like there is a lot of detail and care put into it, and now, I am kind of tempted to pick it up. HOwever, knowing they have stupid DLC planned is also hindering my decision.

Wow, Injustice Batman is already a pegwarmer at TRU:

The lack of any sort of bicep swivels really really hurts this figures on a massive level. For a figure that Mattel has made us wait this long for, he was not worth it. His arms are horrible. And like Saint Walker, his ankle joints have NO motion at all. What is the point of the ankle joints if you can't even do anything with them? Then you have the quality control, which is very poor. His lower legs, upper pieces to his thigh swivels, and arms are a completely different shade of orange from his torso and upper legs/lower thighs. WTF is Mattel doing to this line? Then I have paint flakes all around his joints. I've seen bootlegs with better quality than this. I'm sorry, but to those who complain about people buying them early off ebay from Chinese sellers, there is absolutely no difference in the poor quality you get with those than there are with the final product. This figure is a travesty. In fact, outside of Phantom Stranger, this entire year has been a joke. Saint Walker was extremely limited in his articulation. Elongated Man was missing way too many accessories. And then we have Flash next month that seems to have absolutely NO accessories, not even those lightning bolt things. Mattel, get your ****ing act together or just tell us you are done with the line because it clearly shows you aren't even trying anymore!!!!!!!!!

I was all upset that I missed out snagging Larfleeze from the mattycollector sale....but then I read about his missing bicep swivel and I am just shocked that they thought that was ok to do to him......
Seriously??? He can't even crouch (which is what he's seen doing most often) which I could forgive....but now he can't even clutch his lantern to his chest accurately?....F**K that sh*t!!! >:(

I believe that is due to an influx of figures for an Injustice co-sell, you bought the game, figure and the Brady guide as a bundle.

That might be so, but that does not mean they are going to restock ever again due to all of those sitting on their shelves.

blastMONKEY 04-25-2013 10:56 AM

You're absolutely right on that point, I would love to find a Wonder Woman in the wild, but I'm not bringing my hopes up.

Poison Shadow 04-25-2013 11:02 AM

Yeah, I saw a ton of those Injustice Batman figures at my TRU yesterday. A little part of my inner collector died when I saw that, because now that's one less place to hunt for Unlimited figures. That just leaves me with one Target now...

Poopy.

Phantomcrow 04-25-2013 11:11 AM

I just found a Wonder Woman Unlimited yesterday at TRU, Was very happy because I had a 5$ off coupon. There was only 1 and about 8 Batman on the shelf. I don't understand the case assortments on the second wave of Batman and DC Unlimited. I fear how series 3 will come.

Nope, the Flashpoint version. I took him off the shelf to dust him and his leg snapped off. Now he can join Damian Robin, Hush Harley, and Hush Joker in the container of broken DC toys.

What's ridiculous is that I have two solid cases of her in transit but there's no way I can compete on price. These things were supposed to retail around $19-$20 like DCUC yet the couple I've seen (Superman once, Penguin once) have been priced around $16.

OK, what else is ridiculous is that Mattel has so far sold at least some of these figures in solid cases so there's no excuse for this pile-up of Injustice crap. The assortments I've seen scheduled for the rest of the year just look like Mattel is cutting itself in the bathroom and hasn't passed out yet but pass out it will.

Most big box stores get that big box discount from toy companies and only get whatever general assortment. Target and Walmart are 16$ and TRU is 20$, but most LCS i have seen the figures in are 20$/22$. You would think big box stores would carry more since they are getting a better deal on them.

Actually, Larfleeze makes up for the bicep swivel with a double jointed elbow. no other dcuc figure has this. this allows for great clutching poses. he wouldnt be able to achieve this pose with a bicep swivel. with the way his arms are, you can really pose it well. I've had no problem. that and with a joint in his wrists makes him have more articulation than the other figures.

Doesn't Black Hand have double-jointed elbows? Think he's the only other one.

You must not own Robin, Blue Beetle, Black Hand, etc.

And saying something has double jointed elbows makes up for it is bs when ALL DCU figures should have double jointed elbows and knees on EVERY figure.
