Oops, totally forgot there wasn't a Banshee yet, brainfart. I guess he would be the exclusive if the 2 pack rumor is true. Seriously though, I thought Hasbro said she was going to be released like Black Widow and come with a ton of accessories. I'd rather have that with a stand and stuff than her to be packed with Thunderbird.

As for Thunderbird, he can't reuse the same body as Warpath as he is not 90s knuckle dragger musclehead like Warpath is.

I do remember something about her being a deluxe figure but it's possible the plan changed, if the deluxe Widow didn't sell as well as they hoped they might scrap the concept going forward. As for Thunderbird if not a reuse of Warpath than probably the Hyperion body again. Of course we could all be wrong in thinking it's John Proudstar, and really it's Neal Shaara for some inexplicable reason, after all, why the legacy Rogue with Pyro?

Shouldn't we be seeing some new Legendary Riders soon too?

Black costume Storm looks great with the Punk Storm head. Just sayin'.

Also I'm Calling it now , with how popular the Spider Man retro figures have been on the 90's animated style and cards, I am betting we see 90's X-men inspired retro legends:
Storm in Silver
Rouge in Cartoon colors ( greenish grey jacket)
Cyclops in ( Jim Lee figure) in lighter cartoon blue
Beast in less vibrant blue with coat, glasses and recolored grey beast head
Wolverine with new head with large pointy mask, and animated logan head.
Lady Deathstrike ( only completely new figure sculpt like Silver Samurai) with inter changeable long and short arms.

Fan Channel exclusive 20$ set for Morph w/ good and evil heads and Senator Kelly head

Fan Channel exclusive 30$ Bonebreaker of the Reavers w/ extra weapons and another Reaver member head.

While I love this idea, at one of the last Marvel Monday things, they teased the next retro wave would be from one of the other 90's cartoons. Like Hulk, Fantastic Four, Iron Man or Silver Surfer.
Also, there's another Marvel Monday thing coming next week, right?

Yup on the 6th, plus the head of marketing said on twitter that July was going to be busy for Legends. So there maybe another fan first Friday live stream at some point too. If it's a Hulk based retro wave I hope we get a classic She-Hulk on the new body

Spyne98 07-01-2020 07:17 AM

Just a heads up. Pulse is currently updating. It is July 1st. Maybe the fun is about to start?
*Edit- seems like they just added some Power Rangers Statues.

Those have been there for a few days. Nothing new until Marvelous Monday. Everyone can calm down until then.

Spyne98 07-01-2020 08:01 AM

Ah ok. I didn't know about those statues until now. I wasn't trying to get anyone worried. I hope it didn't come off as that.

Same. The silver comment was meant as tongue-in-cheek, but there's no way I wouldn't eventually buy it if it was released.

Jean's my must-buy-every-costume-that-exists character.🔥🔥🔥

ToyFair revealed the first upcoming rider as "Kill Krew" Punisher w/ motorcycle. His pack mate hasn't been officially revealed by Hasbro, but Rektangular's sources say that it'll be a Classic Hawkeye w/ sky-cycle. Grain of salt, of course.

Ultra Seven 07-01-2020 10:26 AM

I just received a shipping notice from Entertainment Earth for the Spider-Man retro wave!

StuartGreen2019 07-01-2020 10:50 AM

I could see that the next retro wave could be Fantastic Four or Iron Man. I'm hoping to get surprised with a Hulk wave, he's long overdue. I don't know if Silver Surfer would be the next wave, I'd imagine he'd get his after the other 90s cartoons retro waves. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for an actual retro Spider-Man: The Animated Series wave some day, that'd be awesome.

I'd really love to see the Fantastic Four get new figures of their blue-and-white John Byrne era suits (including one of a FF suit Johnny Storm), sneak in an FF suit She-Hulk, and sprinkle in some new figures for characters like the Mole Man, the Wizard, the Trapster, Annihilus, armored-green-suit Sandman, and Blastaar. Heck, I'd also love to see a two-pack of the Puppet Master and Alicia Masters.

With Iron Man, his Model 12 Neuromimetic Telepresence suit from the comics and '90s cartoons is a must buy and seeing some new figures for villains like classic Mandarin, Blacklash and Diablo would be amazing. Classic figures for Constrictor and purple-and-blue suit Boomerang would also be sweet. I'd also toss in other armors like Model 06 Stealth and the Model 17 "Heroes Return" armor for kicks.

At this point, I'd be happy to just see a new Hulk wave. Classic She-Hulk is a must, as are the U-Foes. But I'd also love to see a new Bruce Banner with some other civilian characters (General Ross, Betty Ross-Banner, Rick Jones, etc.), Ringmaster, Mr. Hyde, the Gargoyle, Nightmare, Tyrannus and Zzzax. I'd also love to see a classic Abomination and orange-and-black suit Leader with the "Jiffy Pop" giant brain head, but I don't think we'll get new figures of those any time soon since they just had figures this year. Also, I'd love to finally see new figures for Mr. Fix-It Gray Hulk and brown jumpsuit Pantheon-era Professor Hulk. Heck, they could even give us a sold-separately Immortal Hulk figure with an alternate classic Hulk head and I'd buy it. I'd love to see a new Hulk figure that wasn't a Build-A-Figure or part of a pack of figures you had to buy all at once.

Hulkwummy 07-01-2020 11:52 AM

Gargoyle (90s cartoon)

Fantastic Four Retro Wave
Mr. Fantastic (Negative Zone)
Invisible Woman (Negative Zone)
Human Torch (Negative Zone)
Thing (Negative Zone)

X-Men Retro Wave
Morph (90s cartoon)
Wolverine (Tiger Stripe w/ New Mask head)

Wolfsbane (90s X-Factor)

Spider-Man retro wave
Rhino
Shocker
Sandman

StuartGreen2019 07-01-2020 12:29 PM

@Hulkwummy - I like your lists! I think we're getting a classic Shocker for an upcoming Spider-Man wave, though. Didn't one of the Hasbro guys say in a recent interview that Shocker was name-dropped?

As for wishlists, mine would be:

FANTASTIC FOUR
Same as Hulkwummy's, but with Mole Man and the Wizard included.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK
Bruce Banner with alternate green-eyed "Hulk out" angry Banner head; Immortal Hulk with alternate classic Savage Hulk head; Ringmaster; Absorbing Man (classic purple pants); Doc Samson (classic) and She-Hulk (classic).

IRON MAN
Iron Man (90s suit); Iron Man (Heroes Return); Tony Stark with Iron Man suit briefcase; Mandarin (classic); Blacklash; and Madame Masque.

X-MEN
Cyclops (Jim Lee 90s re-release) with a new head sculpt, the suit repainted with a darker blue and brighter yellow, and a new red optic blast accessory; Jubilee with fireworks accessories and an alternate smiling head; Mystique; Rogue (Jim Lee re-release) with greenish gray jacket, brighter yellow, a new head sculpt and alternate smiling head; Sabretooth on a new bigger body; and Wolverine (tiger stripe suit) with a new, better Logan alternate head.

I was sorely tempted to list Avalanche, Banshee and classic White Queen, but I'm hoping they're already in the works. I almost included Pyro on my list, but I forgot if his upcoming toy is in the comic suit or not. Gambit also needs a new head sculpt with better hair.

SPIDER-MAN (fingers crossed we get a second wave)
Doctor Octopus with bendable wire tentacles and a new headsculpt based on John Romita Sr.'s art with a smug smile; Classic Sandman; First Appearance Mary Jane Watson; 70s suit Spider-Man based on Gil Kane's artwork, with the spider chest emblem's legs out to the sides, underarm webbing, open wall-crawling hands and a snap-on "wavy lines" spider-sense accessory; Black Cat in her classic suit with a new head sculpt; and the Hobgoblin with a new bigger/better glider, pumpkin bomb accessory, and alternate heads of Ned Leeds, Jason Macendale and/or Roderick Kingsley.

SPIDER-MAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES
Spider-Man; Peter Parker; Mary Jane Watson; the Lizard with Curt Connors' head, left hand and feet; Doctor Octopus with bendable wire tentacles; and Venom.

You have no idea how hard it was for me to leave Black Costume Spider-Man, the Scorpion, Mysterio, the Rhino, the Shocker, the Chameleon, the Green Goblin and Black Cat off of that Spider-Man TAS list.

jmurray90720 07-01-2020 12:43 PM

Storm being a deluxe figure was an idea I had probably a hundred pages ago before the figure was announced or shown. I thought it would have been cool to include two different capes and a head with blue eyes like the minimate version did. Nothing was ever rumored.

No, I'm pretty sure during the panel or in one of the interviews after they said something about a second head and new effects pieces

usernamedustin 07-01-2020 02:54 PM

Here's the article about Storm and Thunderbird. It was leaked from a distributor in Spain way back in March. Everything else in the leak was correct, so I assume Thunderbird is too.

Well, an alternate head and new effects wouldn't automatically make it a deluxe figure.

The point is that often times characters with new or unique tooling often don't end up with a lot of accessories, Boom-Boom was a solid pink standard body with mostly reused accessories and Nightcrawler who was in the same wave reuses mostly Pizza Spidey with an overlay, Also the BaF for that wave was mostly reused. I haven't talked to any of the Legends team, but if they're like other lines, there's a budget for each wave so all the figures plus the BaF draw from that pool, It's why the AoA wave is lacking in accessories, most of the budget likely went to tooling out Sugar Man. Single release figures like gray Beast and retail exclusives like the Cuckoos most likely have their own budget and the vintage/retro card waves don't have BaFs so Gwen Stacy would have more funding. Target is getting two 2 packs which most likely draw on the same allotment of funds, Rogue and Storm already have a ton of new tooling and and Rogue's second head is confirmed, so to balance that out Thunderbird and Pyro are likely to be a lot of reused parts and probably minimum accessories. I know one of the brand managers at Mattel once said during a Q&A that heads are the most expensive part of a figure to tool. So I would guess Storm is likely to have the standard lightning effects, her video game baton and maybe a second head

Regarding Storm, went back to the Hasbro Marvel Legends ToyFair 2020 panel:
24:58 - 25:14

"It is your "First-Appearance" Storm with some extras. Right, Dwight?"

"Got some extra lightning parts and she's got a really, really angry goddess head as well."

"And so this will be a Target exclusive item in some form or another later this year. Stay tuned for more details."

Sounds like she might come with the standard lightning accessories, but I'm really, really interested in seeing how the "really, really angry goddess" head turns out in plastic form.

I remember in the old arcade game she used a staff/wand/baton for one of her attacks so I thought maybe they'd include that since they made a point of mentioning she finishes the Pryde of the X-Men/video game team
