Those TF MP are nice. If I were into TF, that's the way I'd go. I've also wanted to get into Ho Toys/Sideshow, but I'm much happier getting a little something all the time rather than a big something half the time.

Doesn't cost 3 digits either for your wallet haha:P Although the Takara MP's are becoming like that recently, but both MP's and I think the HT/SS figures you can usually get back your $ and plus, I guess that's the only advantage to collecting those.

Nooooo!
Like most I was really looking forward to these figures.
Emma Frost and Valkyrie are such important characters in the modern Marvel Universe.
Considering the plans for 2014 (Avengers line, small Cap line, big Guardians push), I doubt we'll see Emma Frost until 2015, but I'm sure we'll hear something around Toy Fair.
I made a pegasus (Indiana Jones horse with Angel wings) this weekend for Valkyrie, it's a little too small for Black Knight but will have to do.

And a comparison pic of the Prince of Persia horse that needs some dragon wings.

I sold my Black Knight, using the profits for a hall of armor IM3 package. I just wasn't aware of who he even was until the facebook MAA game.. haha.

So I picked up Aurora, Knight, and Omega to add to the Nightcrawler from this morning. Guess I'm all done with MU now.. kinda a sad day along with the happiness.

I was hoping your luck in St. Louis would extend to the rest of the midwest, but I canvassed five Targets in the greater Kansas City metro today and didn't see any of the 4(5) new figures from the latest wave. I've got no interest in the X-Force-costumed doppelcrawler, but I want Black Knight, Aurora, Northstar and Omega Red. Here's hoping the stock just hasn't been put on the shelves yet. Anyone here on the Ark in KC? If so, have you seen the latest wave on the pegs?

Terrible news about the cancellation of the previously announced three packs. Cancelled figures I want: Ant-Man (3.75),White Queen, Valkyrie, and Executioner. I hope they show up as singles somewhere down the line.

Dude that's awesome. I was actually going to do the same thing. I bought that horse off ebay and I'm using the casted Angel wings from vortious. Someone on another site used the same black horse from Prince of Persia with the black Dragon wings from toothless in how to train your Dragon. The wings are huge but looks nice if you hang it up or put him in a flying stand. Nice work.

bmorr 11-05-2013 07:21 PM

arrrgh, i want that black knight for a great 70s avenger team up

wylde bil 11-05-2013 07:24 PM

black knight will be a bad guy for me,

(muttering) we need more bad guys to fight all these good guys

ChuckSass 11-05-2013 07:34 PM

if someone comes across an Aurora, please pick one up for me, ironcially she's not in Canada

I didn't know that. Not big into Joes but I have a few of my favorites and this latest wave looks pretty cool. I will probably get most of them eventually. I imagine retail sales were a nightmare with the toys shipping and then the movie getting pushed way way back. Product sat forever and maybe retailers lost faith. I noticed that none of my Walmart carry G.I. Joe now.

ChuckSass 11-06-2013 06:44 AM

Alright so a slight dilemma, last night my black widow revealed she was actually Moondragon all along. Does anyone know what glue would be good to glue that wig back on. This is the widow that was single carded back in 2010.

Zap a gap is best a little dab will do ya, like half a drop. Over glue will look real bad so I stress half a drop.

True that on all points plus aweful USA store distribution and case assortment.

Captain Nash 11-06-2013 08:16 AM

So so gutted that the final 3 packs were cancelled. I know this cannot all lie at Hasbro's feet but it's really hard not to be completely pissed off at them. How many times have we been shown upcoming figures that then get cancelled, in both MU and ML (and it always seems to be the figures I want most - ML Rogue, Moonstar, and now MU Emma - guess I should be glad we got MU Rogue... :/)

So some of these will likely show up in other upcoming lines. How much one wants to bet they're NOT talking about Emma Frost or Valkyrie but Thor and Cyclops, who we already have versions of.

I have been collecting Marvel collectibles for nearly two decades now but I have to say crap like this, as well as the horrid distribution of the last few years (have only bought 2, count 'em, 2! MU figures in retail stores in the last 2 years everything else has been online) has made me want to just give it up and quit.

Middle Tennessee is utterly and completely devoid of any MU or ML figures unless you're looking for the big six and that's only in their own lines, or the ML wave with Hope. I realize that this area is not the only area of the country so affected but just saying there is no longer any joy in driving around looking for stuff. I don't go to the toy aisle any longer when grocery shopping at Walmart because what's the point?

I guess when it comes down to it, the only reason I'm still doing anything at all is in hopes that maybe one day Hasbro will fill in some of those spots in my most wanted list. Time to add Emma back to the top of the MU list, or maybe just below Wasp anyways.

I hit a second Target yesterday, but had arrived too late. Baron and Grey Hulk were there, but nothing else. There are 2 more Targets around, but my guess is they all stocked the same day, so unless I had checked them all on Monday when I got mine, I'm too late.. I'll check one more on lunch today and if I find any Alpha Flight, Knights, or Omegas, I'll pick them up for you. You'll just owe me some Chiefs gear. :P

Have to agree with you there! I'm fortunate enough to live in a city where they get decent MU distribution. I'm kind of surprise they don't just do online selling of these figures if anything, instead of trying to depend on half of it on the brick n mortar stores. I know the Cloak wave, I basically just ordered it off HTS, although Cloak was the only one that I didn't see at retail. They should know they'll get plenty of online buyers.

Just registered for the first time here to post two things...

1)Thanks to all of you for sharing your finds so I know to start looking for them.

2) I hate all of you with Wal-Marts that have more than just Gladiator and Doc Samson.

I had stopped checking my Walmart for about 2 months because the pegs were repeats and eventually empty.. but alas one stop this week netted me one new figure!

Mastersteef 11-06-2013 01:06 PM

Has anyone seen Avengers Assemble Wave 2 in their area?

I'm really looking forward to the new Thor figure from that wave (Leader doesn't look half bad either) and I'm curious as to if this wave has been released yet. I've found wave 1 at several different stores around here and have been pleasantly surprised with the Hulk, Red Skull and Falcon figures (Black Widow, Cap and Iron Man aren't bad either).

Welcome! And yes all my retail used to just carry that...

ProfessorHov 11-06-2013 04:14 PM

Not even a sign of wave 2 in Los Angeles. I ordered it at bigbad

And I think its just worse because they were 3-packs. We know that with 3-packs we will be able to find them and usually at a good price. Then they give us these last two with 5 figures that are unique to them and we get our hopes up. No desperate search for a figure like Emma that all the scalpers would buy up, etc. Now, not only are we not likely to see some of them (Scourge, Jugglossus, and maybe Valkyrie mostly likely) but the others that we do get will probably be short-packed and impossible to find for some of us.

Welcome! You know it's odd my local target only had one gladiator for a long time, then they had 2, then 3, then the pegs were full of nothing but gladiators for a long time, they multiplied! Then they all disappeared a few months ago. For a minute I kept thinking how am I missing all the figures in this wave, realized someone must have returned them. Now MU price is $11.39 plus tax. My Wally World stopped with MU.
As for the 3 packs, I wouldn't mind if the new juggy, frost, executioner and Valkyrie were singles. Don't really need another thor or cyclops. I had a hard time finding rogue pack at retail, but all the other ones are still peg warming. I think hasbro really had some really bad case selection recently.

BEAM 11-06-2013 06:33 PM

Got my Dark Elf from Viperskingdom today. He came without accessories, which isn't a great loss. No Jai Lai Cesta or gold plated claw thing.

Paint apps look good. I might go back for another. If me get a Malekith, it'd be nice to have two flanking him along with Kurse.
