Eh.

Depends on who's in it, but I might skip that wave. Nothing about HoXPoX has made me feel it's even remotely worth the hype, and certainly not worth my time and money for the collection. We'll see.

But..but... the Storm outfit is the best outfit she's had since the 90's, if you don't count very alterations and derivatives from her FA out. Of course, like I said a few pages back, I would pretty much be on board Storm in any outfit so...

I read tons of comics. I'm reading the Morbius Omnibus right now. Hav ebeen reading the Stan Lee run of Cap and the Jonah Hex Omnibus. I've read most of X-Men from Giant Size #1 through Age of Apocalypse. I don't recall anyone named Bastion.

I would love to get this Sentinel. Hell, I want three. But I can't spare $350 to get him with my current financial situation. I'm not at the, "Meh, it's cheaper for me to jump off a building" stage, but covid royally fucked me over. Thank the gods I'm making money right now by creating a real estate firm a YouTube channel.

Bastion came not too long after AOA. AOA was 1995, he was introduced in 1996 and his first big story was Operation Zero Tolerance in 1997. So you just missed him.

Her purple outfit from the late 90s has always been a favorite of mine.

He also played a role in a number of other story arcs - X-Force, following Messiah Complex; a major role in Second Coming; and a bit role in the whole Secret Empire arc, iirc

I like that one too of course, but I'm not a fan of the hair tentacles she had with it. Seems like it would be disadvantageous to have in a fight, but then again, she's a flyer.

Veronica Mars 07-10-2020 02:59 PM

I actually kind of like this costume

HOX Storm, Magneto and Emma Frost are all must buys for me. And it'd be nice to finally get Armor.

That's not really a valid argument since it's not being sold by Amazon themselves.

Starlord67 07-10-2020 03:21 PM

Ok..pulled the trigger on the SENTINEL...if my wife finds out Ima dead man! Bob and weave baby!

Oh..and we'd better be getting that FA Storm or I will have some very HARSH words for Hasbro!!

hasbroherofan 07-10-2020 03:34 PM

There's literally no indication we're not getting FA Storm. It's the month of Comic-Con, so everyone needs to relax a bit. News will be along soon.

Congratulations...now just a wait for you for 15ish months or so. With the reveal of Bastion I'm strongly considering getting ONE myself, but I'm going to have to think on it.

And yes, I agree. very harsh words indeed. Even if it's early 2021 that's okay though I'd rather have this year. Given shifts in the world this year a few extra months is understandable.

Nah, see I totally agree with Starlord. I'm sure it's probably fine but I'm getting frazzled.

Pshh...for that price, I'd rather pick up another Toybiz Sentinel...2 if I'm savvy enough.

I can imagine that it's probably going to be a bit hollow to accommodate the electronics like you stated. In addition, Hasbro has been pretty adept at making relatively hollow, larger scaled figures. FFH Molten Man, Hulkbuster and the recent Monster Venoms were good examples of this.

I'm also thinking that this figure is going to be relatively lightweight as well simply because if they build it as solid and thick as the old Toybiz figures used to be, or gravity is not going to be kind to it's joints over the years.

Even if he's hollowed out and lightweight, Hasbro really needs to put some of that cost in developing strong rachet joints for it. I have Generations Metroplex, who is relatively lightweight for its size (and is very close to what this guy is gonna be) and I have to keep him in city mode because he has become a floppy mess at the knees due to his weight over the years.

Invest in a cup my friend. The last thing she is gonna go for is your head...

Boy Blunder 07-10-2020 03:46 PM

God, all the "haha my wife will kill me" comments I've seen across the various sites... Y'all need to have some actual conversations with your spouses about your hobby, and stop living in the world of sitcom marriages.

Something this big, if I wanted to go for it, I would of course discuss with my wife before pulling the trigger on, because regardless of your financial situation, that's still a big wad of cash. Because she'd do the same with me if she wanted to buy something that expensive.

It's called communication and being adults. If your significant other is that derisive/antagonistic towards you over the hobby, you need to reexamine the relationship and talk to them about that, not play it off like "ha ha married life am i rite".

No shan't. All the reveals thus far have been on par with the rest of 2020. Murder hornets and Toxin and covid and sentinels

I know it's not that bad but it's definitely starting to feel like Matty and MotUC all over again with the waiting and the partial wave reveals and the teasers

Don't forget the rabid cicadas! (Yes, I know insects can't really get rabies, but 2020....). That will be on par with a Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends set feature Daredevil and another half figure Spider-Ham.

Whew...so serious. I jest and oversell the reaction from my wife of course. Tis hyberoble at its finest. She'll roll her eyes..comment how tall it is and where the hell is That thing gonna go? My studio is already packed to the brim.My marriage is solid and my wife is cool with my hobby. It's just a lot to pay for one figger!
Btw...I can't help but notice two of my fave Arkers have not chimed in? Blue Marvel? DTL? Y'all out there?

If you need to be the one to broach the subject of your ridiculous toy expenditures, I'm sorry to say your relationship is already over. The power move is to just spend the bread and flaunt your ridiculous toys in front of your significant other.

Here's what the conversation should be like:
Significant other: "Why do you buy this stuff? It's dumb. It's for kids. What are you like 5 years old?"
You: "I'm a first responder, damn it, and I'll do what the hell I want." *mic drop*

If that doesn't work, still just do and buy whatever you want but just keep opening new credit cards so your financials are untraceable.

I don't think we have cicadas in California. There was a recent episode of the newest cartoon titled Amazing Friends, it was Spidey, Ironheart and Amadeus Cho Hulk, and since that's where the inspiration for Venomized Miles and Gwen came from....

Stuff you're not personally interested being revealed is not the same as stuff that's already been announced getting dropped, though. How people even got that from an obviously sarcastic tweet is a bit beyond me.

Like I said, Comic-Con is in a few weeks. Stuff is being announce all month.

Sure Jan
Maybe the thought comes from a time when announced things got dropped including Storm in that very same costume. Maybe you should check out The Ones That Got Away on The Fwoosh.
But hey, you said it, must be Gospel

The irritation isn't about what's been revealed, I'm thrilled to not have to shell out the cash for these last two reveals, but the slow trickle of reveals is beyond frustrating. I didn't need to watch that Livestream this morning, I could happily skipped it if I'd known it was nothing I was interested in, but there wasn't that much courtesy given. Like on the 14th when they make their announcement about the X-Men movie figures, I know I can skip that because I'm not buying those

1. Take the vest part off Captain Marvel
2. Remove both figure's heads
3. Heat both upper torsos with hot water or a hair dryer
4. Pop off arms
5. Put vest on Psylocke
6. Pop in jacket arms

All totally reversible.

Thanks for the replies... totally gonna try it out now since I have an extra Psylocke anyway.

And I am kinda underwhelmed by the Haslab Sentinel... maybe if the Mu/DoFP Legends version didn't already exist than I would have been more wowed by having a gianormous Sentinel.
