Ewww! That's horrible. I'd heard of Walmart doing that (no surprise there) but I didn't know Target did that too.

I feel like Storm is likely to be another Red Hulk situation. Man, why did they make a super popular character/ costume an exclusive? It’s frustrating for me because I adore X-Men, and the AOA and HOX (except for the likely Marvel Girl) figures are total skips for me. Storm has been one of my top five figure wants for years, and it’s really irritating that she’s going to be impossible to get. The Hellfire Club I can live with not getting, but it is certainly going to be disappointing. Rogue & Pyro probably won’t sell out in seconds, so I think I can get them with relative ease. Nimrod should be fine, I haven’t seen an Amazon exclusive pre-order sell out in less than a couple of weeks.

StuartGreen2019 07-20-2020 01:27 PM

I hope that, at least for the next few months, Hasbro won't be having any more store exclusive figures for the foreseeable future, especially with how this year has turned out. The pre-order systems for Target and Walmart were already nightmarish enough, but I refuse to do anything store-exclusive with the way things are now. I'm also hopeful their new stuff doesn't sell out within the first five minutes like they usually do. It'd be nice to at least have a chance this time to try and get the figure(s) and or sets fans have been waiting long enough for.

I wouldn't worry about it. Some people think you are supposed to see every news item posted on every page. Someone pulled that shit on me yesterday when I asked about Shadowcat and Wolfsbane as if I was supposed to instantly have seen whatever the source they got their info from.

Indeed. But of course it's our fault for not having unlimited time to scroll back through multiple pages of mindless yammering about hoping the version of Emma Frost from issue 314, Vol. 4 is revealed tomorrow just to make sure that someone else hasn't posted about it already because we obviously have nothing else to do with our barren, pointless lives.

In the cartoon they also were as tall as hundred story buildings. Nightcrawler was also no taller than a Sentinel head.

Oh, and this:

Colossus would be nearly half their size if they were only 20 feet.

Now you can do the bit with Rogue being grabbed by both arms in the toon intro...

Counterpoint - Selene wouldn't require the amount of new tooling that Leland would. In fact, other than the headsculpt, she could be entirely reused parts.

And we know how much they love making money off of a quick redeco.

Kurt russell as old man hawkeye and clint eastwood as oldman logan. ;)

SymbiSpidey 07-20-2020 04:08 PM

I just got the new Deadpool wave in. I think this will be a very slept on wave, because I'm really liking this wave.

All that being said, someone at Hasbro must REALLY like Maverick, because he came out fantastic. Among the best of the year.

Boy Blunder 07-20-2020 04:18 PM

Man, I do not care about that Hawkeye. Which sucks, because I really like that Old Man Logan.

I suppose I can have him just for Ashley Barton to slap around.

Alright, those are awesome. With all the X-Men love we BETTER get some Raimi Spidey figures in 2022!!!

(I know I talk about them on here a lot, but like Shartimus said, we gotta talk about what we want on these boards!)

redfox 07-20-2020 04:26 PM

Can't wait for the reveals, tomorrow!

Some last minute speculation: With January 2020 being the 40th anniversary of the Dark Phoenix storyline, there's no way this Hellfire Club set is not connected and will be coming with a Black Queen Jean figure. Like others have said, I bet Hasbro will also throw in an additional Selene head, but I'm not holding out much hope for Tessa's. Riding on the 40th anniversary aspect, I feel for his role in the affair that a Jason/Mastermind figure will appear. That said, you absolutely can't have a Hellfire Club boxset without Shaw and Emma, so no doubt they'll both be in it. After those two, I could definitely see it varying on Hasbro's choice when it comes to additional members of the club depending on how large of a boxset it will be. I'm thinking this set won't be as big as some of ya'll are thinking. With both a comic and Fox film exclusive sets, I'm assuming both sets will have maybe 3-4 figures a piece (maybe less on the Fox exclusive) and not the usual 5-6 figures.

SymbiSpidey 07-20-2020 04:30 PM

Disappointing to see that Deadpool doesn't come with an unmasked Ryan Reynolds head, but I can't deny that it looks great. Probably the only other Fox X-Men character that I care about getting a toy of besides Wolverine, Magneto and Professor X. Maybe Colossus and Juggernaut from DP2.

Does this version talk like Speed Buggy?

True, though Leland could reuse the Doc Ock body as a base, all the details could be an overlay

It’s an absolute pipe-dream, but I’d love it if the FoX-Men non-SDCC boxset was X-Force, with Vanisher, Shatterstar, Bedlam, & Peter.
