Well, the Unlimited lines are done at retail. They are being replaced by another crappy 4inch line and an animated crappy looking 6inch line.

Was it definitely announced that they're ending?

It would be a shame, but hell there was only one store near me that carried them (Toys R Us) and their shelves are forever clogged with the mighty stack of Injustice Batmen they got in as their pre-order bonus for the game - of which I was apparently the only one who bought into it at that particular store.

CMIII 07-21-2013 01:03 AM

The problem with Injustice was not the idea but the creator it's really not much more then a DC version of Mortal Kombat

Per Scott on their forums:

Yes the retail team confirmed those retail lines are ending at their fan panel yesterday at Sdcc!

See, I didn't think that way at all. I have the latest Mortal Kombat and quite frankly, I hated it. Every character I tried seemed too sluggish, whereas with Injustice - well, it beat out Tekken 3 from the PS1 era as my favorite fighter of all time. I just find the game to be extremely fun.

Huh. Well, those were incredibly short-lived. Who do I need to hold hostage to get my hands on a new Batman Beyond? I mean, I have the old one and it's alright... except for the fact that his chest symbol got all jacked up and smeared in the factory. :(

I felt MK9 is the best fighting game ever. It is chock full of bonus features, has a great indepth story mode, and the combat was fluid and quick the way I like it. My team of Sindel and Nightwolf kicked all kinds of ass (well, until I went online one day and got my ass handed to me by a guy doing a 24 hit combo with Scorpion on me).

^AMEN^
MK9 was freaking perfect imo.
Graphics, gameplay, fatalities, story, everything was insanely well done and still impresses the hell out of me.
That being said, Doc Kain is right. No matter how badass you think your fighting skills might be, there is always someone online who is ready to make you look like a toddler who just picked up a controller for the first time. ;P

I still need to get Injustice though, I've played it pretty extensively on the demo kiosk at the local Hastings and it seems pretty awesome. I wish we could have gotten a good figure 6" of the Solomon Grundy design from that game...

Hi guys i am new here and i was wondering how much do you guys think i should sell this collection of mine for? The batwoman has custom hair and the red hood and red x are customs as well, the batman was repainted black from blue. the rest are in their original state. The red hood and batwoman hair would be finish if sell it of course. I began this small collection with a goal of having the entire bat family and every robin that exists. I am not sure if i want to keep going or not since i do have 2 other main collections and i want to get all of the new 52 art fx statues. so if i sell these i can pick some of those up. i still dont know if i want to do it though i hate parting out my collections lol.

I don't know what you could get for each figure maximum (probably some good prices for the customs depending on who made them), but if you want to trade or sell the motorcycles separately I'm interested. Just EMAIL me at squeezeplay69@gmail.com NOT PM (I hate using PMs on boards that have numbered PM limits).

CMIII 08-04-2013 04:19 PM

you might want to post this in the B/S/T area (two above posts)

I picked up SHAZAM! and will post pictures when I get him but wow I had sometime getting through Matty Collector Weberella Tied the Site up for 45 mins and sold out I guess Monster High Dolls are popular to say the least

Poison Shadow 08-04-2013 05:19 PM

So, uh, anybody here pick up the black/silver MM Superman yet? I just noticed that mine (moc) has one of his wrists bent at such an extreme angle that it looks like the hand would just fall right off if opened. I always planned from the get-go to leave him in his packaging, but I guess I'm just curious how widespread this issue is?

I think I recall seeing that one other person had that problem but I'm not entirely sure.

Otherwise I'm fairly happy with the line; I don't have armored Zod yet, and honestly I'm not sure if I still want it, but I did pick up the previously mentioned Supes, Jor-El and Faora.

I would have bought Capt Marvel, but I couldn't access the site for an hour and a half after the sale started and Webarella was sold out by then. There was no way I was going to spend $15 on shipping just for their bare bones cheap looking Captain Marvel, who was already overpriced. The SDCC early access was the only reason I did not cancel my sub back in April when I canned my MOTUC one and it was absolutely pointless for me to have. Mattel is so lucky Ra's is coming out in Nov, otherwise I would say **** them now. But instead, **** them next year. They can cancel the series for all I care. It will suck, but I'd rather have no toyline than to deal with Digital River's retarded jerk monkeys who do not know their dicks from their asses.

CMIII 08-05-2013 09:16 AM

Dr. Kain Honestly.... you need to relax a bit. I don't even get the whole Monster High thing all they are is Bratz painted to look like Monsters (go to Amazon or Ebay for one) my biggest issue was the Digital River site needs to work out the compacity issue I had the same problems 2 times last year.

Nice display dude.

When did the naked Cheetah come out? And why is Aquaman facing two different directions?

My g/f collects MH, and since she was the one paying for the SDCC stuff, it was her call.

And she can't get the exclusive off Amazon, and ebay is going to be scalper prices.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, I do not need to chill out when Digital River is run by the most retarded jerk monkeys I have ever seen. It is like they take the dumbest people in the world who cannot get jobs at Fast Food beause they can't even get that right, and hire them at DR.

CMIII 08-05-2013 08:12 PM

well to be truthful you getting worked up because of people who Mark everything up horrendously who seemingly bought far more then the allowable amount saddly theres no way to stop it and it really isn't Digital Rivers fault.

The Naked Cheetah had the shortest Shelf Life because Parents got a little whiney about it I only ever saw the Pricella Rich and Black Clothed one, As for the Aquaman look closer and you'll see subtle differences the one on the left has Green Hands as does the one on the right the one Smack Dab is gauntlets and bare hands I would guess it's either All Stars or the Long haired Varient.

Dr Kain 08-06-2013 06:56 AM

I'm referring to the classic Aquamans, not the variant in the middle with the long hair. The two on each end are packaged in the opposite direction.

They're just facing opposite sides that's the only difference. The cheetah I got from another local collector about 2 years ago.

It's funny you should say that, since Bratz has its own sub-line of monster-themed dolls called Bratzillas. I only know this because my niece collects MH and when I asked her about Bratzillas (I was trying to get ideas for her b-day and Zillas looked the same, or at least compatible), she literally turned up her nose and said "No, I don't like them."

Thugnificent 08-07-2013 11:05 PM

Hi all,

Considering this is an appreciation thread, I have a hunch that some folks might have experience using the MattyCollector Club Infinite Earths subscription. I'm debating a 2014 subscription, but am clueless as to what their shipping costs and methods are to Canada. Anyone know? It's over the course of a year, and leaning toward their shipped quarterly option.

Also, anyone have issues with them? I've read a few things about them being super slow with shipment.

Thanks!

Dr Kain 08-08-2013 07:05 AM

lol @ asking if anyone has had issues.

Let's put it this way. If you choose quarterly shipping, I hope you don't get any defective figures because by the time they ship them out to you, they probably won't have any replacement stock left for you. Also, you better hope they actually remember to set aside your figures in Jan and Feb and not sell them.

Last year, they sold all of their stock of Atrocitus before they put my order together, so the could only ship me Metron. Then I had a lot of issues because my credit card expired trying to get them to charge the new card, and another bunch of issues last year and this year when I moved because they kept sending my figures to the old address no matter how many times I updated my address with them.

Add on top that each figure is essentially $35 because of shipping, some are missing articulation, some are as loose as a limp dick, others have different colored limbs, there are no accessories with some, and you have overpriced toys.
