I dig it too. Yet just like Galactus's regal helmet, Master Mold's helmet could be bigger. Hasbro's very capable of doing a better version. I just hope a larger MM figure can be made (in a more regal helmet) to make Jack the king Kirby proud...

So awesome. VHS box art is the absolute best. I died when I got down to Stroker Ace. Hahahaha Burt Reynolds was indeed the man. And now I have the Terror Vision song in my head.

Thor Laserpunch 08-04-2020 08:15 PM

Lmao... some survived because I couldn’t part with them, some survived because I couldn’t give them away. I’ll leave Burt in the lurch.

Loved him in Boogie Nights tho. I’d love to be part of a 70s porno family where he’s the dad.

Super Joe 08-04-2020 08:37 PM

Here's a couple more visual examples; on my earlier note on Jack Kirby aesthetics / helmets. Hopefully digital assets Marvel Studios sends Hasbro; will help the later do a superb job (digitally sculpting) next year's Eternals Legends helmets...

Wow, why are those Sentinels so tiny?

Now I just need to find a cane for him, and maybe some legal documents.

Incidentally, anyone want a Martin Freeman head?

*raises hand* :)

Some of these are tempting for sure...

Well that, and the sentinels of the 60's really were small.

But why are the Sentinels barely taller than a normal dude? They're like 8 feet in that panel, if that. Colossus would cream those Sentinels in one hit. They're no real threat to Mutants.

Ah, I gotcha. I really wish Marvel would reprint the Pre-Uncanny X-Men Omnibuses so I can read them.

I... did not notice the dude in that panel. I could go for a sixties Sentinel BAF.

That would be a pretty nice BAF. I wouldn't mind having a couple of them myself.

Harbinger 08-05-2020 09:17 AM

While out n about found no legends to speak of but at a local discount store i found thia lil gem. Not into turtles really but for the price i couldn’t say no.

Army builder BAFs are mean, unless we got an army-builder wave...

- Hand Ninja
- Multiple Man (X-Factor Investigations or classic)
- Skrull Soldier
- Kree Soldier
- Guardsmen
- S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent
- Suited body with numerous alternate heads (Norman Osborn, Matt Murdock, Happy Hogan, Justin Hammer, Peter Gyrich, et. all).

That would be a good idea, or possibly instead of a BAF make it a deluxe figure. It wouldn't be that much bigger than Apocalpyse.

That could work too! Put it out next year around the same time as the HasLab Sentinel. And then watch EBay prices for the original costume X-Men boxset climb.

StuartGreen2019 08-05-2020 09:29 AM

Amazon has the Spider-Man figure from the retro wave in stock for the $19.99 price tag right now if anyone needs him.

Also, I agree, I'd love a deluxe figure of a Sentinel. That'd be awesome.

Thanks for the heads-up, grabbed an extra (wanna display both heads, although I grant that is a little greedy). I would be curious what accessories a deluxe Sentinel could include. I wouldn’t mind it being forty instead of thirty, if it came with some tendrils and blast effects.

Count me in for a Deluxe SENTINEL!!

Ultra Seven 08-05-2020 09:59 AM

Can anyone think of any re-use potential for the tooling it would need? Maybe the mark two Spider-Slayer?

StuartGreen2019 08-05-2020 12:53 PM

Does anyone need the Spider-Man retro wave figure of Gwen Stacy? She's back in stock for pre-order on Amazon right now for the $19.99 normal price tag.

Such a basic body could be used for a lot with just paint and a couple kitbash swaps. First that came to my mind was an MCOC adaptoid.

DST could print money if they came out with just a 16" basic articulation comic-based Sentinel right now. Imho...

En Sabah Nerd 08-05-2020 01:38 PM

I know it wouldn't be accurate to the Kirby design but Hasbro could reuse parts of the Kree Sentry BAF to give us a deluxe small Sentinel.

Oooooo...good call. I didn't think of that figure
