Speculation:

Redone ToyBiz figure

Most likely: Toad or comic Falcon

Less likely: M.O.D.O.K., Hulkling, Werewolf by Night or Lady Deathstrike (Dwight did say he's a huge fan of the Reavers)

Redone Hasbro figure

Most likely: U.S. Agent (Rektangular leaked him as a Walgreens exclusive, plus he's in the Falcon & Winter Soldier show) or Banshee

Less likely: Rachel Summers or Classic Bucky

New character (extremely unhelpful; this could literally be any of like 800 characters)

Most likely: Any of the Eternals (since we know they're getting a wave) or Moira MacTaggert (since we're getting a House of X wave)

Less likely: Any relatively recent-ish character of note (Ironheart, Miss America Chavez, Amadeus Cho, Gabby, ect.)

Character only made in 3.75 scale

Most likely: Mr. Negative, Firestar or Starfox

Less likely: A-Bomb (Abomination retool/redeco), Golden Age Human Torch
or Eric Masterson (new head on the 80th anniversary Thor; more likely for the year Thor: Love and Thunder is out, though)

This was super comprehensive, and sorta what I was trying to do. Thank you! Here's some other thoughts: we could also see Avalanche or Longshot as the Toy Biz redo, Blob, Spiral, or Kang as the Hasbro redo, new character is a completely open-ended hint, and I think the 3.75" is almost certainly Firestar.

Edit: someone over at Fwoosh pointed out that Mandarin fits the bill as a Toy Biz figure in need of update. Also, do we know if their perimeters for "character" includes something like Yellowjacket as unique? My gut says no...

Captain Nash 08-18-2020 11:05 AM

I can see it now, though I love the responses to the 3.75 figure. All the Firestar, A-bomb Yondu guesses and then they reveal Triton.

Not that Triton's bad or anything he's just not someone I see many wanting.

hasbroherofan 08-18-2020 11:09 AM

Also, for those interested, a short list of characters done in the 3.75 inch lines but not Legends yet.

- Karnak
- Dark Ms. Marvel
- Mr. Negative
- Quasar
- Death's Head
- Black Goliath
- Thunderstrike
- Lockjaw
- Firestar
- A-Bomb
- The Warriors 3
- Triton
- The Chitauri
- Clone Thor
- Whiplash
- Starfox
- Guardsman
- Frost Giants

1. A character done by ToyBiz but never Hasbro is getting done.

2. A character from Hasbro's early years is getting redone.

3. A character who has never had a figure is being made.

4. A character only done in Hasbro's 3.75 inches is being made.

Yaaas! These kinds of hints are excatly what I was hoping for. Also, since I haven't seen anyone talking about it yet, who's arm was Dwight(?) holding up at the end with all the sunburn talk? The video quality on my phone is not the greatest so I could not really see any clear identifier.

My guesses on the hints:

1. MODOK (He makes the most since to me as the BAF for a Gamerverse wave 2 if that turns out to be true and while I want to guess any of the X-men characters instead, if these teases are for figures still coming out this year I just dont know that we will get another X-men wave til next year. I would love it if we do though! I would guess Toad if its for an X-men character. Sidenote to Hasbro: I would still love for you all to tackle the Young Avengers! Toybiz's do not stand the test of time.)

2. Madame Mask (Sticking to a non-X-men guess, there arent too many pre 2014 characters Hasbro hasn't re-visited in some way. Both Madame Mask and Viper really need some redoing and either would fit into the comic side of a Gamerverse wave. Again, if I were guessing an X-character this clue would have to be for Banshee! Who I do think is coming down the line one way or another.)

3. Echo (This was a hard one to guess for because Marvel has sooo many characters that have still never seen an action figure made. I'm guessing Echo though because I think she would fit nicely into a Stilt-man BAF wave which I would guess will be some combo of street-level characters like Spider-man and Daredevil. Other runner-ups could be Molecule Man, the Ancient One, Miss America, Red Wolf, or even my far out guess Layla Miller! My X-character guess is Husk, who could fit into a HoX wave.)

4. Firestar (She is easily the most in demand figure I can think of from the 3 3/4 inch scale. Maybe original Death's Head but I don't think the demand is as high. Also no need to guess an X-character because Firestar fits in fine with so many teams!)

hasbroherofan 08-18-2020 11:12 AM

It was Endgame Thanos.

The arm had the Infinity Gauntlet, it seems to be some form of Thanos. Either farmer Thanos or an alternate/ battle-damaged version of one of his movie looks. Maybe in a set with a new Mk. 85 Iron Man, or worthy Cap, or a final battle Thor. Or he’s a BAF in another “Endgame” wave. It’s pretty open-ended.

Edit: Marvel Legends redo could be Dracula! It's not overwhelmingly likely, but the parts are mostly there.

Double edit: three fourths of the hints could work for a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants boxset. Toad or Avalanche are a Toy Biz redo, Blob as the early Hasbro redo, and Destiny as a never produced character.

I do hope he is a BAF so we get one more Endgame wave to finish off the much needed characters IE Endgame Thor Endgame Cap Marvel. Maybe Battle Damaged Iron man with snapping finger and Stark Head a new non store exclusive Worthy Cap with cracked shield. Come on Marvel this wave is easy unless its a two pack

SymbiSpidey 08-18-2020 11:40 AM

"Character that's never been done before" could also apply to the Hellfire Club goons...or even Jason Wyngarde

Veronica Mars 08-18-2020 11:46 AM

I just realized they didn't confirm the fan vote winner, but since it seems like it's probably Silk we should be looking at those 4 clues in terms of a Spider-Man wave

My money's on Death's Head, Thunderstrike or Mr. Negative!

And Target still hasn't dealt with the bot issue

Thank you so much! Its actually quite dicernible with a quality image, lol. My phone does not provide such clarity.

A third Endgame wave could be fun. The first wave was kind of weak to me but the second wave really covered some much needed characters. Final battle Thor, Captain Marvel, Battle damage Snap Iron Man, with Snap damage Thanos BAF all seem like easy choices that would be easy/cheap to produce. My biggest wish out of another Endgame wave would definately be a Tilda Swinton Ancient One. To me she is one of the most needed missing characters, beside AoU Quicksilver, and her scenes in Endgame were delightful.

En Sabah Nerd 08-18-2020 12:26 PM

Yay they confirmed the Silver Centurion we all knew was coming. Boo that he's exclusive even though this was suspected.

It'll be interesting to see if injured Thanos is another BAF or sold more directly, I'm still hoping for an accurate final battle Thanos from Endgame.

Another EndGame Wave (or better yet- generic movie wave filling in some missing characters like Whiplash) maybe good news for all you folks clamoring for fat Thor.

Could be first appearance Rogue...who also received a figure in 3.75" near the end of the line. Perhaps the "hand holding glove" accessory that was shown is a prototype that hasn't been put onto it's proper color yet.

Hoping for Mr Negative myself.

They never did a 1st Appearance Rogue, to my knowledge.

I know they did Jim Lee and Outback costumes, but I can't seem to recall a 1st Appearance one.

Though I don't think it's Rogue, given they specified a character they haven't done in Legends, not a specific costume. Still be awesome tho.

Hasbro needs to fire whoever poses the figures for promo shots...

EvilMonkeyPope 08-18-2020 03:40 PM

Movie Venom exists solely to affix googly eyes to.

Agreed! We also need an accessory for the chest piece.
We also need more IM villans, more Thor villans and allies, more Avengers villans - Classic Nebula, Masters of Evil members Wrecking crew, Moonstone, Absorbing man and Titania, Golith, Olympic Gods based on John Buscema designs.

My mistake....I was thinking of the figure which had her wearing the outfit featured on her card in the first series of Marvel cards back in the day, and my dyslexia took over.

Was that considered her outback costume...cause I've always considered the green and black bodysuit to be her definitive outback look.

EvilMonkeyPope 08-18-2020 04:31 PM

Both are outfits she wore in the outback.
