This goes back to finances...if someone is upset that some figures are shipping early then they probably don't have the funds to be spending on them and they are buying way too many items that are stretching their finances thin. Wouldn't most of these people complaining about shipping early be upset when they ship and receive later than others? I'm happy when I get items earlier than i'm expecting them.

What if the softgoods figure is another Magneto with a soft cape? :D

“I will not get drawn into another financial debate with you, Dennis.” Anyhow, Rektangular uploaded a new video, and considering that he’s always right on the money, I’m overjoyed at this one:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EBaMFZzwoQE&t=363s

He says the Stilt-Man wave is where we’ll see the Spider-Verse figures (Miles, Gwen, Peter B. Parker & Prowler). Disappointed with the inclusion of Prowler over Spider-Ham or Noir, but who cares, this wave still sounds great. For the rest of it, we’ve got Frog-Man (who I called after White Rabbit), and a Hand Ninja (which makes perfect sense as a figure for the stilt-pieces). But much, much more importantly, he mentioned three further retro releases: J. Jonah Jameson, Black Car, and FIRESTAR WITH MISS LION!

I hope he is right. I usually preorder an entire wave only when I really want the complete BAF and sell off most of the other figures. This would be the reverse where I want a majority of the figures and don't care for the BAF.

Does anyone know the UPC for Silver Centurion Iron Man?

I have all of the Mafex Into the Spider-Verse figures preordered but I’ll most likely buy Marvel Legends versions as well.

My 2 sets of Psylocke, Nimrod, and Fantomex that I got for $59.14 says shipping now. When I click on the listing there’s an option to have it shipped without an Amazon box. I don’t remember seeing that when I originally ordered but I hope mine get shipped in an Amazon box.

Here’s Silver Centurion’s barcode.

warmachine6 08-28-2020 08:04 AM

yeah i'd think i might get a hand ninja, J.Jonah Jamerson, black cat if in classic look... we will find out maybe on the 1st

MeLikeJinx 08-28-2020 08:13 AM

I'm so glad I never bought that Miles and Gwen 2 pack after watching Into the Spider-verse... I was so close to buying it, but the figures looked nothing like the movie versions, so I ultimately passed. I really want a decent looking movie Spider Gwen unmasked headsculpt with her punk hair.

Captain Nash 08-28-2020 08:18 AM

I sure hope that retro release of Firestar is true. I would be on that in a snap.

Not interest on any of the actual rumored wave, but I'm glad for those who want it and those figures. I think I'm set on Spider-Man villains except for Morlun, Spot, Stegron and Mr. Negative and maybe Calypso, and outside of Spider-Man India, I personally am not interested in any other Spider-Man/Spider-verse variants.

But I acknowledge the importance of Spider-Man as Marvel's most prominent character, and that he should always have a couple of waves every year, and that I'm not a big time Spider-Man reader.

SymbiSpidey 08-28-2020 08:54 AM

Hmmm....hoping that Miles has his jacket and sneakers look to set him apart from the other men on my shelf.

Not too interested in much else from Spider-Verse so Frog Man is weirdly the figure I'm most interested in from this wave.

Interesting. Wouldn’t be mad at that. I’m hoping it’s a classic Dr Strange.

A classic Dr. Strange would be often and sell like hot cakes. That would save me from getting the Mezco classic Doctor Strange. I already have the Mezco Magneto and recently swapped his head with the white eyes head from the Family Matters 3 pack so i'm good with Magneto. I'd be kind of disappointed if its just another Magneto since there's already a few different modern releases and anyone could just go buy a 3rd party cape with a wire for 10-20 bucks.

hasbroherofan 08-28-2020 09:47 AM

Soft goods sweatpants confirmed.

Dr Kain 08-28-2020 10:01 AM

Out of all of those rumored figures the only one I would buy for sure is Jameson. Black Cat would depend on if it is her classic look and if she has a better mold than the one I currently have.

Frogman might be cool if I can get him on clearance though. I could use a joke character to be killed by a villain in my display.

Except that there's a difference between "releasing a bit earlier than expected" and "releasing MONTHS earlier than expected" especially when it comes to items you're preordering. In these particular examples, the Rogue/Pyro pack was slated for a nebulous "Q4 2020", and the Psylocke/Fantomex/Nimrod pack was scheduled for November. For both of them to suddenly drop months ahead of schedule, within a week of each other... that's about a hundred bucks that hit very suddenly. Saying that people "probably don't have the funds to be spending on them" is a very narrow viewpoint to have in that scenario, because regardless of if you're setting aside money for when they drop in the future, or if you have the money readily on-hand, it's still a hundred upside the head when you weren't expecting it.

Don't assume that, just because someone is venting frustration, you know their financial situation enough to judge it. It's one thing if someone is constantly putting themselves near the red just to satisfy their collecting hobby - it's another when they have a standard budget and plan for particular purchases, only for it to go pear-shaped because things are just ignoring their "scheduled release" entirely.

Also, just like real life, any kind of a sudden downpour after a bit of a drought is gonna have ramifications. That's how it works in nature, how should anything else be different?

Wow, how dare people on a budget enjoy a hobby in their free time from slaving away at thankless jobs. Sometimes people have to live on a budget and plan out where their money goes and having an expense come up two months early is problematic. Thank you for taking time away from hunting the homeless for sport to share your clearly uninformed opinion with us. Maybe in the future try a little understanding rather than being an elitist d-bag a$$hat.

This on the other hand is hilarious. Sounds like I rubbed the wrong nerve for you. Elitist d-bag a$$hat? haha, thats hilarious. Thanks for that!

It's not about being an elitist, its about passing the message along for people to be smarter with their finances. We are all buying action figures and "collectibles" that bring us enjoyment but dont let that enjoyment get to a point where purchases bring us frustration.

Ok well I guess it would be ok if the bank decided to collect the balance on your mortgage 5 years early, or that the balance on your car is due in full next week. Because you have access to spare money. It's not a matter of being smarter with finances. It's that when you're told you have x amount of time, you factor it in to your finances for that time frame, not everyone has the luxury of having spare cash on hand

Comparing a home mortgage to $100 worth of action figures is even more hilarious than you name calling. Let's move on, shall we?

I'm hoping we get a classic Havok soon but picked up a Toybiz version in the mean time to fill the hole in my collection. There aren't many instances where I prefer a Toybiz version over any Hasbro figure but I was never a fan of the Hasbro version.

Clearly you miss the point, we can't all go around with a cranial rectal inversion. How does the block feature work again

I really didn't think this was all that serious but if you must:

When all you want to do is spew your opinion without taking in to account the people who are being effected by the situation, it's a problem

Fair enough, I'll take that into consideration and I sent you a DM if you wanted to discuss further.

Captain Nash 08-28-2020 11:22 AM

Man, now I kind of want to distance myself from my opinions. Everyone just do your best to do what makes you happy. Sometimes that isn't always easy. Sorry if I also offended anyone, it was not my intent.

Veronica Mars 08-28-2020 11:31 AM

Rektangular's new video seems promising. I should have known J. Jonah Jameson would be coming, I just started working on a custom. I wonder which version of Black Cat they're redoing, I hope it's the goblin wave one

If it's on the retro card then the modern version wouldn't make sense.

I'm very interested to see how the Spider-Verse figures turn out, I really hope Peter B Parker is the sweatpants look. Since I got the Target pack I'd like if it were Miles with the jacket over his costume. I'm likely to get Gwen anyway.
