Someone mentioned a Haven Marvel Legends? I'm down for it.

sh002 09-04-2020 10:03 AM

If anyone needs an AOA Apocaypse then let me know before I return it back to Target.

Black Arbor 09-04-2020 10:05 AM

No Cobra Troopers at Target but I did snag War Machine! Left an AoA Apocalypse on the shelf for someone else, never really was an X-fan haha

Yeah her the one who's powers come from her pregnancy. (Comics really are soap operas for 14 year old boys) I never said X-Factor had good villains, just that they had them

Black Arbor 09-04-2020 10:51 AM

Currently at Ollies and staring at TEN cases EACH of the Thor/ Sif and Luke Cage/ Claire Temple set, only 12.99! Go get 'em boys! And gals! And whoever else may be on these boards!

Oh yeah that was the Adversary being (re)born. I'm down with an Adversary BAF too! Going to shortlist him (it?) now on my BAF wants since it's getting pretty short.

As someone who started seriously reading comics when I was fourteen, I am bothered by how completely accurate this statement is.

T'Chaka had similar feet...I'm wondering if we might see them on the new Hand figure.

Porch pirates are the fucking worst. What a bunch of gutless assholes.

As much as I hate scalpers, straight up stealing people's shit is worse. There's also a level of stupidity to it since most packages don't indicate what's inside so they might not even be worth stealing. My paranoia about ever falling victim to porch pirates actually has caused to me pick up some items found in store even though they're simultaneously being shipped to me, I just wind up returning one of them to the store.

Let me tell you something buster: I won the National Award for Non-Obstinance from 2015-2018, so when I say I performed a simple google search and she just as often appears fully flesh-colored all over, you can take that to the bank! Even in the posted pic, you can see the difference in specularity of latex and skin. I’ll be waiting at my mailbox for your apology.

Now I need 3 mirrors to shave the back of my neck so it’s completely implausible to me that she glues herself in that thing and does body makeup to boot and can leave the house in a timely manner. I’ll be sending Marvel execs a strongly worded letter on this subject.

Did you order from Dorkside?

She has no nipples perhaps.

Sweet, I pre-ordered mine from there too. Hope he comes in soon, I’m ravenous for these Spidey retro figures.

I love the wash on his body, but I am really getting sick and tired of reviewers saying this is the classic Mysterio colors when it isn't.

Yeah that's also bugged me, classic Mysterio has no gold. I feel like the cape on this retro one is a touch too red, it's not bad but I'd have preferred a more purple-ish purple. Other retro-packaging figures have used the opportunity to include more accessories so Mysterio still just having the feet effects is a little disappointing. Overall it still looks like a great figure but as someone who already has the Lizard wave Mysterio and MCU Mysterio I'm not feeling a pressing need to get this one too, I might though if it remains available and I'm otherwise all caught up.

All this direct and indirect nipple talk is nearly too salaciously titillating for my senses...

That's unfortunate. Having something stolen from you is a violation on a number of levels, but at least you've the consolation of knowing it will be replaced. Your euphemism for 'thieves' might be considered more kindness than the culprits deserve. That said, its hard to ignore the crushing amount of societal insecurities and inequities running amok all with the backdrop of a STILL raging pandemic. While the H.E.R.O.E.S. Act doled out trillions in stimulus, the overwhelming majority of it was predictably funneled to corporations and the wealthiest in our society, leaving millions of rank and file Americans without succor.

I am incredibly thankful to still be working (and from home to boot) with the ability to continue to "waste" money on toys that I truthfully have more of than I could ever need...even want, maybe. I'm in no way validating nor minimizing your property being taken, please don't misunderstand - you know I respect you a lot and what happened sucks ass. However, with roughly 51 million unemployed, food insecurity and lines stretching miles (in some places), and the eviction hammer/anvil about to drop for millions...we are very likely going to see much worse in the near future.

It's going to be a long cold Winter in America. Hopefully, we can dig deep and find some compassion and understanding for each other. Even for individuals for whom we struggle to know or understand their motivations.

MeLikeJinx 09-04-2020 06:05 PM

Finally found Warpath... just need to find some time to open the wave up and build Strong Guy... and also try and pretend I never bought Shiklah, Blue Deadpool and Pirate Deadpool.

Finding Wartpath at Target was a relief though... I am officially done hunting until Shadowcat, Banshee, X-factor Feral, 90's Domino, Rictor, Siyrn & Wolfsbane show up.

sh002 09-04-2020 06:15 PM

Retro Mysterio is in stock at Dorkside. My 2 would have shipped out already but they are combined with preorder items that are not ready to ship yet.

There are a lot of people suffering right now. This pandemic has been rough on so many levels. There are a lot of groups and individuals (adults, teens and kids) trying to help those going through tough times. It does suck to have to have packages stolen. I sincerely doubt it is by someone needing help. It is someone bored or doing it for fun. If you know about organizations in your area offering help share it within your neighborhood. Last week, our city distributed bags with Hand sanitizer, masks and information in English and Spanish for those that needed help - food, medicine or Covid-19 testing. It was a nice gesture and I hope a lot of people in our community benefitted from this bag. I hope other communities and cities can provide a bag with helpful information and items to those that need it. We have to be humans helping each other, supporting each other, caring for each other.

Has anyone tried any of the Jackman Wolverine heads on the Puck or Jubilee wave Wolverines? Saw a post on Reddit suggesting it would scale better height-wise than any of the recent comic Wolverines.

I’ll take that answer. “Comic book magic” would also have been acceptable.
