I think that Ajak is the real deal... I think that Eternals wave is gonna bomb too. But then I thought Guardians of the Galaxy was also gonna bomb and man was I wrong about that one. GotG turned a whole bunch of people into mega stars and sold a crap ton of merch.

And agree about GOTG. Nobody could have anticipated the success that movie would have. Although James Gunn had a major hand in making that happen. I guess we’ll see if the Marvel machine can make lightning strike twice. |
^ It still blows my mind that a talking Raccoon and a talking tree that says three words practically became household names. And in the mean time we got 2 of the worst X-men movies ever made... well 3 if you count New Mutants... which I am just gonna assume is horrible. Kinda bummed that Ajak is a custom though.

batman has been in 9 solo movies, Nolan triology 3, Adam West movie 1, Keaton 2. Joel-verse 2. 1. Patterson.
until pattersons batman , batman has been a side character in from JL & BVS, in the future the flash movie. (3) solo movie wise, wonder woman, aquaman , superman (MOS), wonder woman 84. Shazam! , shazam! 2, Black Adam, suicide squad, birds of prey & then James Gunn's Sucicide Squad, Green Lantern Reeve's superman Quadriology and then Returns with bradon (5) same universe i think... So 16 movies without batman without the expection of cameos If anything he's falling behind which is an okay thing. Patterson might get a trilogy. |
I'm not sure where you guys are seeing the seller admit that it's a custom. I saw the listing too, and--granted I don't speak Portugese--the Google Translate transcript seemed to be repeated insistence that it was genuine, along with confusion about what a custom even is.

Amazon just emailed me my Deadpool/Negasonic Pack is coming this Saturday September 12th. I can not wait to play around with the merc with the mouth.

Secondly, some of the movies are still trying to be dark like a Batman movie, so that's out too. Hell, look at the upcoming Flash movie. They keep talking about having Batman in it. It's supposed to be a god damn Flash movie, Batman has no reason to be in it. Flash is supposed to be fun, hence why one of his main villains is a freaking talking gorilla. I want fun comic book movies that resemble their comic counterparts. I don't want Superman made grim dark because Superman is not supposed to be grim dark. I want Superman colorful and hopeful. I want Wonder Woman colorful and empowering. I want Aquaman to be colorful and adventurous. I also want a fun buddy cop comedy between Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. If they want grim dark, do a Neo Noir movie on The Question. Do a horror film on The Spectre. Do a supernatural thriller with either Dr Fate or Etrigan. |
DC Movies ≠ Marvel Legends Figures

To bring the thread back to Legends, what are people hoping to see announced at Hasbro’s convention-adjacent thing at the end of the month? |

You can't have light hearted as long as an edgelord like Snyder is involved

That Ajak kinda looks like a custom made using DC Multiverse's Wonder Woman or Aquaman waves.

Both are films he didn't direct though. |

Why are you talking about DC Comics movies when this thread is about 6-inch Marvel Legends figures?
|
Uh oh the forum police are on to us.
As for Marvel Legends, the scalping is real. I looked up the Strong Guy pieces that are coming with characters I don't really want, $36 for one BaF piece. |
@Ultra Seven: All I want to see at the Hasbro Pulsecon are anything new in regards to Spider-Man, but I'm definitely curious if they'll reveal the rumored/leaked figures - Legendary Riders Hawkeye, Walgreens exclusive U.S. Agent, J. Jonah Jameson, Black Cat (keeping my fingers crossed for classic costume Black Cat), Firestar with Ms. Lion, and Jim Lee suit Rogue. And since we have retro Doctor Doom, I'm certain we'll see a retro Fantastic Four wave either at Hasbro Pulsecon or next year around February as a special event on Hasbro's part to serve as a Toy Fair replacement.
As I've said before, I'd love to see a second retro Spider-Man wave, but that line could, unfortunately, be a one-and-done like The Uncanny X-Men (which needs a second wave too). Lizard and Shocker were name-dropped, but I doubt they'll be shown so soon unless they're Fan Channel surprises or from a second Spider-Man wave we're unaware of. I could see either or both of them making it into the second Build-A-Figure Spider-Man wave for 2021 that had the recent leaked geological codes for the seven figures (Lodine, Manganese, Methane, Sandstone, Sapphire, Shale and Sulfur, respectively, according to a post on The Fwoosh message boards). I'm still hoping that Sandstone eventually turns out to be a new non-Build-A-Figure classic Sandman, though I could see that being Sandstorm too. P.S. Dan Yun posted a Tweet on Twitter where he mentioned Hasbro Pulsecon being 17 days away and to "check the hints over and over" about the four teased figures, in which he included a gif of the Avengers dancing in their first Avengers movie costumes. I wonder if that means he's hinting the four figures teased by Hasbro are for the next Avengers Marvel Legends wave? |

Sunspot arrived after much back and forth with Amazon. I really don't understand the design choices sometimes, Human Torch's neck/Shoulder effect is removable, but Sunspot's isn't? New Mutants and X-Force https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...63495ef8_o.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...bdab6f5f_o.jpg If anyone has a set of the bubble ring effects in yellow that they're looking to part with let me know |
I hope the Hasbro online convention also announces they're retiring that circular effects mold. Granted it was perfect for Sunspot, but damn, it's time to find something new to use for the next 3 years. Otherwise, in another year or so whenever they inevitably make them, they're going to look like really weird effects for Siryn and Banshee. Even worse, we if don't stop them now, in another few years after that, they'll try to pass that off as Marrow's power effect. :p

I've been putting it off because I still kinda believe Hasbro will do Wolfsbane and Feral. They are so close to finishing two teams and they could reuse like 75% of the same parts for both figures. I made Wolfsbane because it was fairly easy with the head and Polaris body, but Feral will require a lot more creativity with parts and paint. I think the yellow bubbles only came with X-Factor Havok. Those are some of the very few effect parts in my display, but I could be persuaded to trade for them. I am looking for some female flesh-tone arms and the jacket from Netflix Punisher currently |
