Sure, I'm aware of that, but as powerful as Nimrod is, I still place a few mechanoid villains ahead. Especially since I've seen him dispatched by many a non-Omega mutant. This wasn't so much a refutation of what you asserted as much as it was a supporting argument for what I'd written. Nimrod is a baaaaad dude....or a non-gender specific collection of circuits, or some such...

Well the name is a man's and the unit disguises itself as a man so I think it's safe to refer to Nimrod with male pronouns.

I'm digging the updated Sunspot effects and the added fire effects for Pyro. Very cool minor tweaks that give the characters more life.

Nimrod is a cool character but the Legends figure to me just looks too much like a childs over plasticky toy no matter how many pictures I see of it.

Cool action shots Nimrod! You've got most of the posing and use of props down so adjust the lighting/exposure and those would be some really good shots!

The problem lies in Hasbro's execution of them. From what I've seen from the figures that utilize them, the ball joint is waaaaay too recessed into the neck, so the joint has nowhere to really go.

They just need to tweak the joint a bit to allow for more range of movement.

I just don't like the barbell neck joint due to how fragile it feels. I feel like it is going to snap off whenever I pull Spider-Man's head off.

From a biblical sense regarding the name? Sure, you're right, but I just find it funny to ascribe a gender to a fictional robot. Once we're overrun by Skynet and robots start identifying themselves based on gender specific concepts, I will of course acknowledge them accordingly...mostly out of fear of annihilation, but also in an effort to respect their sensibilities.

Regardless of whatever gender, if any, the robot identifies as the situation surrounding the name is itself interesting. The name Nimrod originates from Abrahamic religion where he is described as a mighty hunter, but it was employed as part of a sarcastic insult by Bugs Bunny (not sure if the insult predates Bugs) and since most of the audience didn't know the context the word became synonymous with moron. Obviously the sentinel takes the name for its original meaning as he is a "mighty hunter" of mutants.

I actually knew this. I just envision him as the shortest sentinel in class and thus he had to be stronger cause he was the shortest and stockiest and the other sentinels made fun of him. Man that could almost be a cartoon. :D

Kang was never Franklin Richards, his name is Nathaniel Richards and considering how far into the future he comes from his relation to the Fantastic 4 Richards family is sometimes brought into question (he once even mused that he may actually be descended from Dr Doom). Kang is from so far into the future that his race can be made totally irrelevant even if one of his ancestors is caucasian.

I thought about him as Black Panther, then dismissed it. There are other actors for Panther and I believe Jonathan would be wasted as a miscast for the role, but it doesn't matter as that ship has sailed now.

Kang did spend time in Egypt as Rama-Tut in 2950 BC, which doesn't exactly correlate to Kushite/Nubian controlled Egypt, but it's close enough that it could be fudged...

I'm not generally a fan of cosmetic or superficial changes to canon, especially when the reasons aren't exactly altruistic and revolve around making money on potential audiences. However, I've grown to really like Miles and, at this point, no one really cares about canon outside of relics such as myself.

I meant nathan. Had blonde moment. Im just tired of the whole lets race change or gender change characters to pretend the whole diverse thing. I mean major characters need to be left alone. you can kinda get away with a minor relatively unheard of character like ghost but someone like kang needs to be left alone....especially given his connection to ff. And lord lets hope they dont rooster them up like trank the tank dis.

I have yet to see marvel dc etc change a female or black or latino to caucasian. If it folds one way it needs to fold the opposite way too. Fair is fair. i mean hey maybe we will get a caucasian bp or caucasian photon.

I've never read a single Kang story where his race was a factor. He runs around in blue paint 99 percent of the time. It's irrelevant.

Well considering that way back when and even recently (as in you g avengers recently ) he was revealed as the caucasian descendant of reed richards i would say its very relevant especially if they do a young avengers movie where iron lad aka nathan richards is caucasian. Now if they use a whole NEW persona and not nathan richards as A kang, not THE kang, then thats fine.

Plus why shoehorn him into an antman villian....he was primarily an ff baddie. I woulda thought maybe evil goliath and possibly titania would make more sense.
