Rescue has been the best of the Unlimited offerings, by far, in my opinion, followed by Stark, Rocket, and Captain Marvel...

They still haven't provided me a reason to subscribe annually. That would require more 'largely unique' sculpts (Pepper's suit reused Extremis' legs) like Rescue and access to all of Marvel's comic book archive.

Regarding prescient comments, FA Storm and the pending order I'm awaiting - my opinion remains consistent with my impressions from back in May:

I appreciate that they added the sculpted details I mentioned not long ago - disco belly ring and thigh high boots with textured ovals - but the face, body proportions, and lifts are not exactly to my liking. I'll be happy to have it, but as it stands, I doubt it will be my favorite Storm.

Modern Rogue is cool, but that face...

I don't remember the cancelled proto being that fugly, but I guess it was.

Edit: Retro Spidey feels awfully similar to TB's Super Strength Spidey...a good thing.

Having Rogue, I've since changed my assessment, but my take on and happiness with Spidey are unchanged...

I'm also still feeling very much the same about Frank now that I have the fig: it remains the best of that particular batch of reveals.

Good to hear orders are going through for everyone. Maybe Hasbro decided take all orders and will produce enough to satisfy demand.

Well sunnova... that worked while windows on two PCs were still spinning. Thanks for the tip!

That's weird, I started on my phone and switched to my laptop

Mimicboy 09-24-2020 09:44 AM

Finally went thru! I risked moving back to the shipping page and resubmitting but it worked almost instantly. I hope its true that Hasbro would be willing to produce enough to fill demand. It makes a lot of since to use that model since pre-ordering is available and after closing it they can accurately produce to demand.

Seriously, it's like something I'd see at my local flea market. "Spoder-Wumman."

Hasbro Exec- "Ordering was too easy yesterday. What can we do to make it more difficult for non-Pulse members to get through?"
Exec B- "How 'bout making them switch devices mid-way through ordering?"
LoL :D

Probably. I thought, I'll use my phone because all the info I need is saved in auto fill, but nooo

hasbroherofan 09-24-2020 11:10 AM

Got both sets. Not getting a clear date for Hellfire Club but it says Logan and Xavier are slated for October.

I had to do the same thing. I received the spinning wheel for about 5 minutes before it finally went through. I immediately closed my window on my phone once the confirmation went through, so hopefully Hasbro doesn't think I'm trying to cheat the system and get two.

If you look at the page now...there is an actual pre-order window that says available to preorder until 9/27. I guess Hasbro is going the route that NECA went through with many of their exclusives recently to help ensure that everyone who wants one gets one.

Where that Frank really shines is when you start doing head and weapon swaps with it...

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...91979b_c_d.jpg

This is the Frank Castle I grew up with... :D

Hulkwummy 09-24-2020 11:20 AM

What we need is a update of the Trench coat Punisher figure from the Epic Heroes wave, white belt and everything.

Archangel 09-24-2020 11:25 AM

I’m a little pissed at myself for how much of my money Hasbro is sitting on right now between preorders and Sentinels.

TheBlueMarvel 09-24-2020 11:40 AM

^As best I can, I try to live a regret free life. If I feel the 5 Sentinels are excessive when they arrive, they'll become investments: I heard that Haslab's Jabba barge was drawing almost 4 grand on the resale market. I seriously doubt I'll sell the Sentinels, but if I do, even a couple should cover what I put out...

Yeah, buddy, me too. That's looking good, but, honestly speaking, save the Sybiote and Warmachine, the last few Punisher figs have all been winners in my estimation.

Archangel 09-24-2020 11:52 AM

How do 6 inch Jazware Havocs scale with legends....I see a bunch at Ross...

Really? I rather liked the Punisher WM suit haha. I probably would've liked it a lot better if they did a re-do of the Iron Man 2 War Machine suit and did the Punisher repaint on THAT, but I assume what they did was more comic accurate haha

WARNING...WARNING...WARNING... (Read in Nostrormo's Mother voice).

I don't tend to complaint a lot about little plastic figurines, but I've noticed a trend to get bad colour applications, stiff joints, loose joints, miss-aligned accessories etc, etc.

I got two Storm/ Thunderbird sets (one more on the way, FOR myself); a Rogue/Pyro set and. Deadpool/Negasonic set. This are the list of QC problemos.

Thunderbird: Stupid boot fringes slipping down would it kill them to glue them? (Maybe)

Storm 1: supper wobbly head, totally stiff leg swivels, lightning on fingers not painted (which looks like ringworm), leg seam with black paint. Scuff on right breast (both Storms have this, swimsuit ring not painted at all, right leg falling off.
Storm 2: no wobbly head, but both heads have miss-aligned tiaras, brown paint splash on boot, black paint splash on skin.
I do love the sculpt except I feel Storm should be a little more endowed, I fixed some issues, but why should I? These are not arts and crafts figures, nor cheap.
Solution, frankestein the three Storms into one good one. Sigh.

Rogue is mostly fine. Some White splodges on the green and a "skin" tag on elbow (yuk), and a horrible neck. Lipstick on teeth on alt head.
Pyro: dot on nose. I guess I'm using the other head. No choice.

Deadpool: splodges everywhere. Maybe it can be weathering?

Negasonic: good apps, great face but, but, hair is too far back, making her look like Ant Mcpalin (google it).
So, they are going all back in the box to be fixed at a later date after I move house and get my ducks in a row.

Side note: my Duke had the print of the middle of his lips above his top lip. I exchanged that one, as I can't fix that tiny "got chocolate milk?" detail...

I still love the figures, but it seems that invariably, when I get an order delivered, I have to boil the kettle, get my pliers/glue/varnish removal/acrylic paints.
I guess Hasbro wants us all to get arty.

A little small but if you are using him for regular goon types, he works. He is closer in scale with G.I.Joe Classified though.

EDIT: Added a pic featuring a couple of different figures, on the more common bodies. The head currently on Havoc is from an Articulated Icons Grey Ninja.

Just scored the Hell Fire Club from Hasbro Pulse

Now I'm regretting on passing on the new Punisher for that head sculpt on that body. Couldn't justift spending 40 bucks on a figure and bike I didn't need. That headsculpt looks perfect on that body though. Is that the exclusive Punisher with the harness removed? What guns are those from?

Almost 430 PM EST and the Hellfire set is still available for preorder.

Yah thats the walgreens one. The waist belt is brown whereas the vintage card one is all white.

They’re definitely on the small side of 6 inches.

<waits for the “that’s what she said”>

Almost 430 PM EST and the Hellfire set is still available for preorder.

As someone stated...the Punisher is the original Walgreens exclusive with the harness removed. The AK is from an old TRU line of G.I.Joe styled figures (either True Heroes or Sentinel 1 if memory serves me), while the TEC-9 is from the Riders Punisher.

The Hellfire Club is gonna be up for Pre-order for a couple of days, as it now shows a cut off date to order. My guess is that Hasbro is going with a made to order model on this one after their initial stock sold out.

That's definitely a cool thing for them to do for the collector community.

Any guesses as to what time tonight the leaks are going to hit?
