I mean, I know we have some figures that need to be redone, and we all have our personal wishlists of characters that we'd like to see, but I honestly feel like Firestar was the last one to tick off. Which is a weird feeling.

I think it’s all redos and different costumes and arguing about who’s totally necessary from here. I guess the most unifying character would be some villains, like folks said. Mephisto, Wizard, Attuma, Count Nefaria? I’ll echo what people have said about Quasar. I can’t think of any singular character everyone is in agreement on. Perhaps Meggan, or Siryn? They’re wanted, but not as much as Firestar was. I know some of my “never before” wants are the Starjammers, Moondragon, Air-Walker, Frankie Raye, and Swordsman. But like Boogie said, I don’t know if other people care that much about them.

Right that's my thinking as well. We all have our "must haves" but I think that at this point they will not line up with a lot of other peoples' "must haves". Firestar seemed like the last person that, while not everyone was agreeing needed done, at least an overwhelming majority were.

But it seeems that Hasbro is now cracking into that with those Gamerverse waves' comic figures and I definitely think that in the upcoming years the Fantastic Four's supporting characters will get some love. But Attuma, Count Nefaria, Graviton, Shia LaBeouf might qualify. Melter maybe though I feel like he's definitely now more of a C-lister. Howard the Duck was a pack in with the ToyBiz Silver Surfer but I think that he now needs an actual articulated single carded figure release. Maybe no one's clamoring for any of these but I do think it's weird that not one has made it into the line yet.

Attuma, Count Nefaria and Graviton are all pretty high on my want list but I don't even know if there's a general consensus that they're necessary. I don't know the "shia LaBeouf' was supposed to be,as I"m sure that's a typo (or maybe you were just checking to see if we were all awake). Was it supposed to be Shuma Gorath maybe?

Did they ever make Armored Thor (the blue & yellow scale armor) from the Walt Simonson / Ron Frenz days? I'd say he's too obscure and last century, but then they made Thunderstrike & Beta Ray Bill, so anything's possible. I could see it being a deluxe or anniversary release.

H-belt Hercules in the green shorts

Beyonder

Surtur, Mephisto

(EDIT: Oops, didn't see the "under any of their looks" part. Still, feels like a very different character with all of that armor.. not much reuse of other Thor pieces there for sure)

Oh that's okay! There's definitely some much needed redos and alternate costumes I think a great majority of the community would want, that's for sure.

Beyond might be a good one, even though he's not appeared that often, his role in storylines is rather iconic. Mephisto...maybe....that's a good one though I wonder if Hasbro would actually do it.

Ultra Seven 09-30-2020 12:27 PM

I’m hoping that between the mention of 30th Anniversary figures for “Infinity Gauntlet” and the all-villain wave, Mephisto is coming. However, you raise a good point about an action figure of the devil at Walmarts & Targets being potentially objectionable.

@Nash

Without going into a full on wish-list:

- Quasar
- Blue Marvel ;)

You forgot to add the whizzer and coldblood. ;)

Just checking if anyone was paying attention. A little joke of mine. But I can't believe I forgot to mention Wizard. I think I would probably buy all the ones I mentioned but by no means is that my wishlist. Otherwise I would've tried making a case for Xemnu or Slapstick.

If they can sell nearly naked men in speedos( wrestling figs ) and barbarian fantasy figs clad in snm harness’s and women skintight onesie then the all power lord of darkness should be a no brainer damnit. :D

Exactly. They'd have to go the Fan Channel route with him I'd think, which isn't really prohibitive like it used to be. I guess then Mephisto, Wizard, Quasar and Beyonder may be the most obvious missing spots in the line then but even so, and this is just me, but I'm not looking at their absence as being that the line is incomplete. Balancing that of course with the fact that the line will never be 100% complete even if it went for another 50 years. There's just too many characters. But maybe one day we'll be at the point where we are surprised at the fact Hasbro hasn't put out a Trevor Fitzroy yet. We're just not there yet (if ever).

Boogieman4hire 09-30-2020 01:10 PM

Aside from us geeks who would even know he's supposed to be the devil. Looking at him objectively he's just an evil looking red guy. Looking at Daredevil objectively maybe he's a ninja satanist. Red Skull, Baron Zemo, Klaw, Arnim Zola are all Nazis and they made it to retail. Mephisto could be a fan channel thing but I don't think it should be too much of a problem.

Make him a large baf with satana aka Judith chambers with a soft goods modesty poncho in the wave along with Damien Halstrom, nightmare, blue marvel ( in dr fate helmet outfit and an unmasked head ), the whizzer, blackheart, & blaze ( in his beown trench coat ponytail look with hellfire shotgun). Next legendary rider dan ketch ghost rider ( with swapabble neck and human head ).

Looks like I have yet another order from Pulse to cancel. I just don't get them. Hasbro is losing tons of money by sitting on items.

Sorry my friend...they are all spoken for. Is there anything else you are looking for? Just PM me and let me know.

I did find another SC Iron Man today if anyone needs it. Plastic bubble was a bit scuffed but the figure looked good. I set it aside to see if anyone needs it.

jwyss234 09-30-2020 03:56 PM

Oh Heck Yeah! I've been watching Popfindr since yesterday and noticed the stock at a couple of stores going down. I checked the closest one to me after work today and found the last Storm 2 pack on the shelf. Guess someone decided to leave one for the next collector ;).

Darn. Oh well. The only solace is I'm pretty sure besides Falcon and Kang the rest of the wave will be readily available and possibly make it to discount. Though that stealth Captain America seems like it might be a sleeper hit.

If you don't mind me asking, any idea when the Storm/Thunderbird 2-pack will hit amazon?

When scalpers get it from Target and put it up there.

Birthday Legends figures!

It's really satisfying to finally have Kingpin even if there's not much to say about him as a figure. He's nice and big, he has his cane, the paint is mostly clean, the heads are good, and he's about as articulated as one would expect such a thick figure to be.

I blissfully had little difficulty getting SC Iron Man, the first Walgreens I bothered to check had one. The dumbbell neck is awkward but otherwise articulation is standard fare. I love the colors and I like the new sculpted pieces they made even if some of them feel a little off such as the shoulder armor being more rounded than pointy.

I like movie Cable, structurally I have no complaints, but until I get Deadpool to go with him he seems incomplete. As it stands I'm satisfied with him on his own, the accessories are great.

Last up is the Amazon exclusive movie Wolverine. Again the dumbbell neck shows up to make things awkward, on standard-sized figures its limitations are pronounced but I don't think it's completely terrible either. The rest of his articulation is solid except for his ankle hinges, they barely go up so he can't really get in any squat positions. The likenesses are both pretty damn good although the plain stern head is much more immediately recognizable as Hugh Jackman than the snarling face. His claws are great, I wouldn't be opposed to future comic figures making use of them.

Hulkwummy 09-30-2020 05:49 PM

I would get the Storm/Thunderbird 2-pack at Target, but my parents don't want to go into town, they just don't want to deal with the traffic, and I don't want to drive a car myself, because I was in a car crash with my two brothers back in 2005 on the day before Thanksgiving. All three of us are alright, but my youngest brother broke his arm.
