Preordered. Might cancel later, but she looks really nice. I'll mull on it, but I'd rather not miss out in case I decide I do want her in the collection.

StuartGreen2019 10-05-2020 10:51 AM

WHOO-HOO!! I'm doing a happy dance behind my desktop right now over seeing Black Cat! We finally have a "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" version of the character on the Retro Toy Biz box art. Was I expecting classic comic book Black Cat? Yes. Is that preferred costume? Yes. Will I be pre-ordering/getting this figure? HECK YEAH!! Is Black Cat on Amazon yet? I saw she's sold out on Hasbro Pulse.

Now that we have Black Cat, I assume she's "TV 1" of the leaked Retro Spider-Man listings. That said, is J. Jonah Jameson "TV 2" and based on the '90s animated series as well? Is it a "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" figure of a villain like Doctor Octopus or the Hobgoblin? I don't see Firestar being "TV 2" since her "Amazing Friends" costume doesn't have the collar.

Hasbro, if you kindly give us some "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" figures, I will buy every single one. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. This is not a joke.

Not on Amazon yet, I'm waitingfor it so I can cancel my pulse preorder

Starlord67 10-05-2020 11:11 AM

To those folks that I picked up the Storm/Thunderbird pack..they have been shipped! I'll PM you with tracking.

Black Arbor 10-05-2020 11:12 AM

Black Cat is still up for preorder at BBTS!

Starlord67 10-05-2020 11:30 AM

So I was looking to find one more Storm/Thunderbird pack ...and it is no longer showing on the Target website or on Popfindr!
I think I've been banned for buying 8 of them lol!! But seriously..can anyone find them on those two sites?

sh002 10-05-2020 11:42 AM

Popfindr is showing 2 Storm and Thunderbird sets at the Target near me.

If anyone still needs a set then let me know.

tierneygreen 10-05-2020 11:48 AM

My HFC set arrived today, and I already have buyer's remorse...over not ponying up for a second set to keep in-package. This thing is bee-yu-tee-ful!

Indeed. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if they'd included a Jason Wyngarde figure, and done a little less shading on Emma and Selene's eye...liner? eye lid makeup? I don't even know what that is called to be honest.

Thanks! I actually just thought of it a few minutes later and was coming back to edit! you're too quick for me! Having random brain farts is not fun!

omega145 10-05-2020 12:11 PM

Went to Pulse to pre-order and pre-order is already sold out. BBTS still has it so put down a preorder there. Not much difference in price anyway as its 19.99+6 SH on Pulse and $22.99+4 SH on BBTS. I wouldn't have preordered if I already had the last well done Black Cat.

Harbinger 10-05-2020 12:28 PM

Saw the dp ntw two pack and was gonna pick it up until i saw dp was pinless. Not buying pinless figs since they cant be fixed if the standard hasbro qc issues happen.

Boy Blunder 10-05-2020 01:08 PM

I missed out on the Storm/TB rush - wasn't able to hit the stores before they all had 0 stock.

Hopefully I'll catch the restock, but if anyone has an extra one they'd be up for selling at cost+shipping, hit me up.

Yeah these seemed to have been picked up by scalper and or collectors early morning, I was looking at them on Pop the night before plenty in stock...Good thing I was able to snag one for pick up at store when they went live that same night.

webz 10-05-2020 01:29 PM

Lol where was this Spider-man line in the 90’s? My dad was a HUGE Spider-man cartoon fan. He also was really into the Toybiz line. He even bought the original line art done for several of the original toys. The toys themselves were underwhelming, but the whole package was pretty good. I think he would have done cartwheels upon seeing these. I really think these are the best looking Spiderman toys in a LOOOOONG time.

Boy Blunder 10-05-2020 01:41 PM

Never mind, just found two of the packs during a stop-in on my lunch break. Only enough for the one, but considering that popfindr said they were out of stock here... DON'T STOP HUNTING!

Captain Nash 10-05-2020 01:59 PM

I know I said I'd not get another and give other locals a chance, but sometime in the next day or two I have to make a run for ---other stuff?? yeah that sounds good. If one's there it's mine!

No worries, I appreciate it all the same!

Veronica Mars 10-05-2020 02:58 PM

So JJJ for November's Marvel Monday?

Boy Blunder 10-05-2020 04:20 PM

A couple pages back (though now I can't find it) someone mentioned removing the paint from Storm's lightning-hand palms and, possibly, part of the upper side of the fingers? Wondering what one would suggest for that.

Ultra Seven 10-05-2020 04:27 PM

I am in love with these retro Spidey figures. I’ll buy every one they put out. Sometimes a couple. They’re such excellent figures, and they always look like they leapt out of my childhood memories of the comics. Black Cat is perfect, exactly what I had in mind for the figure. Just got her first appearance recently, cannot wait to display the figure with it. Hoping J. Jonah is next, as well as that Lizard & Shocker some folks think are coming. Excelsior!

Oh..I think it's perfect for the more "robust" heroes like Rogue and MS.marvel.
Of course I wouldn't mind if they did a new muscular sculpt but I think it serves its purpose.
