Mattel is going to need to sell a whole lot of 2013 subscriptions for these figures to see the light of day.

I hope more people plan to join next year. This is the only way we will ever get these extended rosters of figures. They simply will never be made otherwise. :(

Agreed and I would like to encourage everyone to buy a Club Infinite Earths subscription next year who intended to buy some of the figures anyway. I mean how many of you ended up buying Jay Garrick and will probably buy all the rest of the figures for way more than the subscription price anyway? Plus you'd have more than recouped your money on the figures you didn't want simply by selling Metron on eBay for $100+. Support Club Infinite Earths so we can get more figures made who aren't Batman and Hal Jordan repaints.

Crazy Jetty 06-13-2012 03:40 PM

Yes. Club IE is not a ripoff. The quality of the figures is back to the glory days of the DCUC, and the only way we can keep getting DCUC is to support Club IE!

Another way to look at the figures you don't want? You usually end up with several figures you don't want anyway, to collect the BAFs. So it's really not much different. And so long as they don't stick us with another Komandi, the ones you don't want can always be sold.

Yep or traded. The scarcity of these figures due to their availability makes these things fly once they hit Sold Out status even if they're weird characters no one's ever heard of. I don't know about the long term, but if you list them shortly after they reach your hands, I'm sure they will sell.

ToyAddict 06-23-2012 12:31 PM

So, I was just glancing at MattyCollector, and it has the postings for the July sale up. July has BOTH Starman and Rocket Red. Did I miss somewhere that they were going to double up like this? (Not that I'm complaining -- it'll save money on shipping)

Tiberius 06-23-2012 01:10 PM

Rocket Red is quarterly and Starman is Monthy, so you subers will get 4 quarterly figures for the year so you will get 2 figures 4 times :P.

Crazy Jetty 06-23-2012 01:33 PM

It doesn't work that way. It's supossed to be interchanged. We get the quarterly oversized figure instead of the regular figure. Not both.
Eight regular figures, and four oversized, including the subscription exclusive metron. The months we get the oversized, we're not supossed to get the regular figure.

However, I believe they've fallen behind schedule and are probably doubling up the oversized to get back on schedule for next year.

Tiberius 06-23-2012 02:05 PM

Good point =3. My bad.

Possible SDCC leak from Entertainment Earth regarding a possible 6'-7' scale series of articulated figures called "Batman Unlimited":

Quote:

Batman Unlimited Wave 1 Action Figure Case:

Batman and his greatest foes and allies through the ages! The legacy of the Dark Knight and his allies and foes are all captured in exquisite detail in this Batman Unlimited action figure line! Articulated and detailed figures with display stand!

This Wave 1 case contains 6 individually packaged 6-inch scale action figures (subject to change):
  • Batgirl New 52
  • Penguin (classic comic)
  • Batman New 52 Redeco

Assortment breakdown not determined at this time. These 7-inch scale action figures draw inspiration from the editorial heritage of the brand (comic style). Each figure is highly detailed and articulated for Batman fans!
Source: Batman Unlimited Wave 1 Action Figure Case - Mattel - Batman - Action Figures at Entertainment Earth

Could this be the release of the Super Powers Penguin previously shown?

Crazy Jetty 07-03-2012 04:43 PM

I would assume that it's part of the current Batman toyline if it didn't specifically say "Redeco" behind new 52 batman.

Well, one way or another, we'll find out soon!

ToyAddict 07-03-2012 06:19 PM

Tiberius and I were guessing what the new line might be on the Appreciation Thread a few days ago. Guess I guessed right! Can't wait for this (though I'm not much for the wave 1 assortment)!

Barefootabe 07-03-2012 06:50 PM

a new 52 batgirl would be awesome

Torn Prince 07-04-2012 12:04 AM

Must be sort of the next step in that whole Batman Legacy business. Either way I'm excited, as always when I hear of a new Bats line.

hrothgars 07-05-2012 08:08 AM

Now i see a parallel listing for DC Unlimited figures:

Quote:

DC Unlimited Wave 1 Action Figure Case:

Classic heroes and villains of the DC Universe get the makeover and re-launch in The New 52! The DC Unlimited series feature an amazing assortment of 7-inch scale action figures. They feature tons of detail and plenty of articulation. Get yours! Ages 13 and up.

This DC Unlimited Wave 1 case contains 6 individually packaged figures (subject to change):
  • Superman New 52
  • Flash New 52
  • Hawkman New 52

Assortment breakdown not available at this time.

hrothgars 07-05-2012 08:16 AM

Did anyone pre-order 2012 DC All-Stars Wave 1 from BBTS?

Any updates? Obviously June availability didn't happen.

These aren't even showing up from Chinese scalpers on evilbay yet so they might not be coming any time soon, though I hope I'm wrong.

Superboy Prime & Red Robin are instabuys.

I can't vouch for the source, but the attached photo is allegedly of the 2013 Batman Unlimited Batman New 52 Redeco and has been popping up on ebay.

Glossy!

I think this figure should be called "Shiny Muscles Batman." :Ghost

The entire outfit looks like a lubricated batwrap

hrothgars 07-09-2012 10:17 AM

I will probably pick-up the DC Unlimited New 52 Hawkman. Other than him, the only new 52 character design I am interested in is Cyborg. His DCUC release is a bit too 80's for my taste.

Supes, WW, Bats, Aquaman, Flash, & GL are all figure designs I can do without.

As far as Batman Unlimited, I only want the New 52 Batgirl.

That's a whopping 2/6 figures out of the new Unlimited waves that I plan to buy at full retail price. :(

Crazy Jetty 07-09-2012 01:39 PM

I may get the Hawkman. I wasn't as hardcore a collector for DCUC when the first one came out, and I hated the head on the Golden Age Hawkman. So I still don't have one yet.
May also get Batgirl to replace the useless Silverage Batgirl. May also get Penguin simply because I don't have the original.

I hope the lack of Larfleeze indicates he's been moved to CIE, and not dumped altogether.

hrothgars 07-09-2012 05:05 PM

I got my "subscription renewal" email from Mattycollector last evening stating CIE Signature Series Starman is going to be shipping in the next few days:

Quote:

Here's a friendly reminder that it's time for your club subscriptions from MattyCollector.com to automatically renew.

That means your card will be charged and you can look for your shipment to leave our warehouse in the next several days. We'll send a shipment confirmation email once it does so you know it's on its way.

Have questions? Just give us a call at 877-GO-MATTY or email us at MattyCollector.CS@digitalriver.com.

Thanks for being a MattyCollector.com customer!
