Just finished S2. Put me on the list of people who are sad to see it go. I wonder if the replacement will be this good.

Volume 5 DVD has a release date of 9/25/12, same as the movie. It says "The Final Season" and is more expensive then the other releases. I wonder if it's the whole 2nd season...?

I've been watching the 2nd season and it is definitely a real shame that they're probably not going to continue it. I'm sure it does well as far as ratings because it is a solid cartoon that kids would watch, plus it has a lot of great qualities that adults enjoy too.

I had already seen season 2 in it's entirety when they took a hiatus in the US but still aired in Canada. I do agree it is a damn shame that they won't continue. It seems like the trend lately. Any really good animated show only lasts a couple of seasons.

I aired in Canada? I downloaded them when they were all out but they weren't airing up here. I thought it was Australia.

They were. I remember a whole bunch of them going online really quickly. It's a shame the show got wrapped up prematurely. I read somehwere that Disney didn't like the direction of the show and just wanted it focused on Cap and Iron Man, so the side story with Asgard satan (I can't spell his proper name) got quickly forgotton.

It's ashame that a series that started with such a bang is going out with such a quiet whimper.
Galactus was even more waisted than Unicron's premature throw-away appearance in Prime. At least Prime bothered to half-heartedly try to make Unicron look like a creadible threat over three episodes.

Universally feared unstoppable world eaters deserve better than to have their arrival, a mega battle for the fate of the world, and their convenient maguffin defeat all within one 22 minute episode.

is it true that the new Avengers Assemble will be a continuation of EMH? i feel like they are saying this just to keep the angry EMH fans quiet. Any thoughts
or predictions?

According to the wiki page it is a continuation, but of course who knows. It seems to be focused on Falcon and his adventures with the avengers, if you believe the info. As long as they keep pumping out good quality shows, I'm in.

No idea. All it says is sometime in 2013. It also says it has not been confirmed that it is in fact a continuation of EMH.

i thought it was going to go for a more avengers movie universe...? if its a continuation, heres hoping for more character appearances ie. Hercules.

I'll be very curious to see how the new show is connected to EMH without simply being the next season of EMH (aside from stylistic changes).

To be fair, Galactus' first appearance wasn't all that spectacular either - at least compared to modern depictions of cosmic entities/threats. He was in and out within 3 issues and the MacGuffin that would have defeated him wasn't even used - it only took the threat of use to get Galactus to leave.

So technically, EMH was still fairly true to his origin story. I would have loved for them to mention the Ultimate Nullifier as a nod to the comics and have Silver Surfer in the ep, but oh well. They probably didn't have enough time to properly set up Norin anyway.
