Dammit Hasbro, just give us the promised Magik and the MIA Moonstar.

I would also be happy with a Classic Thunderbolts set, with a DIFFERENT Songbird than is MIA (though I'd take her over none), Citizen V, Mach IV, Moonstone (different from the one we have) and Fixer.

They really need to give us an updated version of that Moonstar, with the now crucial ankle pivot. Plus ML Sunspot, Magma, and Wolfsbane would be incredible. Too much to hope for their own Infinite exclusive series with a Warlock BAF?

Yup too much to hope for.:mad:

Outside of the upcoming Magik Hasbro has indicated they have no plans to release any X-Men related product for some time. But don't stop hoping because you'll notice that most of my SDCC Exclusive hopes are X-related anyways.

It's such a shame, we are SO close to having what to me are all the essential X-Men characters done in Legends format. While there's a good 15 or so I'd like to see total, the essentials we are lacking are Madrox, Magik, Moonstar, Polaris, Sunspot and Dazzler. Seriously if we got those six figures and they never made another X-Man character I think I'd be content.

I know, Karma and Wolfsbane are original new mutants and there's a lot of love there but I just never have liked either character.

Oops I did also forget about the villains didn't I. I guess I'd want more than just those six. But I don't see Selene, Exodus, Deathbird (maybe since she's not just X-related) Shadow King, Nimrod, Bastion, Sebastian Shaw or Sauron as very hopeful either. Nor any of the other X-heroes like Syrin, Monet, Marrow, Blink, etc etc.

I think our best hope is Magik. Maybe at some point Moonstar and Madrox since molds were done on those two at some point, albiet one was just for a fan's choice poll. *goes to cry in corner for lack of a chance for a Polaris figure*

TheBlueMarvel 04-01-2015 02:21 PM

@Spyne

I could do a 90's X-force. We really need a new Cannonball and a re-draft of Domino would be cool.

@Captain Nash

I could definitely do an Alpha Flight. At the very least, the missing members: Shaman - Michael & Elizabeth - I'm greedy, Snowbird, Marrina, Aurora & Northstar, with Box as a BAF. If they re-drafted Vindicator/Guardian and Sasquatch, then I'd like Mac and Heather versions with Sasquatch as a BAF. This team could be an entire wave on its own...

@Starlord

Brother. Voodoo. He's at the top of the list of cancelled Legends prototypes that I'm trying to secure. I was very lucky and nabbed a Bi-Beast. However, I'd like to add Brother Voodoo, Red king, and that Multiple Man to my Bi-beast acquisition.

Captain Nash 04-01-2015 02:24 PM

@TBM, you have no idea how much I wish Marvel would do an Alpha Flight movie just so we could get some figures out of it! It's something that bugs me on both lines, the core members (8 or 9 I guess) it's such a small group, and yet, it's like both lines have only bothered to do half the group, and not even all the same figures.

I do wish one or the other lines would give us the remaining needed.

TheBlueMarvel 04-01-2015 02:36 PM

@Captain Nash

I hear you, man. It bugs the hell out of me too. Flight was one of my most cherished books as a teen...still pissed at Byrne for writing and illustrating such a seminal work, only to destroy them as if he hated the concept. I never understood why there wasn't more of a buzz surrounding 'Flight...

Additionally, the Avengers 2 Hulk has two fists...and the oh so 'fashion forward' - capri-pants.

Regarding Hasbro vs Toybiz, I like them both and each run has its individual strengths and weaknesses. This most recent run for Hasbro has had me purchasing more complete waves than ever before. For the 2015 offerings, the only figures I will not buy are that Amazon Thor 3pk and the TRU Shield 3Pk. Everything else is a must have...I really hope Hasbro doesn't push back that Guardians of the Galaxy 5pk they projected.

I hope they're gonna give us the versions from the Bendis series. I still want a space armour Gamora and Star-Lord.

also Hulk Capris are gonna be in, mark my words!

I KNOW!

TheBlueMarvel 04-01-2015 06:26 PM

@ChuckSass

I agree on Bendis...however, I'm pretty sure it will be the Abnett & Lanning space bikini Gamora...I believe they showed an illustration of that version when talking-up the 5pk.

I have my Capris on pre-order...all styles come back around if you give them enough time. ;)

...In other news, my Age of Ultron wave arrived today...THANOS.

'nuff said.

Spyne98 04-01-2015 08:05 PM

I would rather DnA style Guardians. I want Gamora in space Bikini!

Confirmation of another Marvel Legends exclusive for Walgreens (this guy is their head toy buyer)

Jmacq1 04-02-2015 04:17 AM

Just curious: Why are folks thinking it's going to be a magic-themed SDCC exclusive this year?

I'm gonna put my guess on:

Avengers: Age of Ultron multipack with Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Vision. Maybe toss in Baron Von Strucker, as well.

Watch the raaaaaage.

Tell me about it! I know it's fantastic that Hasbro's bringing us some left-field figures who haven't been given the ML treatment (or possibly figure treatment altogether), but it's such a shame that the only X-figures we've been given are three Wolverine variants, two Cyclopses and a dodgy Emma Frost (she really needs to eat a sandwich).

My hope is exactly the same as yours that eventually they'll release that Madrox, Moonstar, modern Havok or even the Northstar eventually. It's a shame that we're getting the new hot pants-sporting Magik instead of her classic look, but anything is better than nothing!

I'm actually considering ordering a custom Polaris with the Scarlet Witch base, it's perfect for her.

Don't get me started on villains. I've wanted Lady Mastermind, Shadow King BAF or Amahl Farouk, Sebastian Shaw and Selene figures for years. Imagine the amount of figures Hasbro would be giving us if it weren't for damn Fox.

Thank Hasbro we've been given a Storm whose head isn't the size of a hazelnut.

Starlord67 04-02-2015 05:56 AM

I really like the new Storm with Mohawk... But I'm hoping beyond hope we get a first appearance Storm somewhere down the road! She is my most wanted LEGENDS figure!!

I was of that opinion initially and still would be if Hasbro did a better job with raised clothing accents (trims, straps, buckles..etc). I think it was VashTS that initially called my attention to the lack of this element for some of the new Marvel Legends (forgive me if I'm citing you incorrectly, Vash - that is, if you even read this comment). When I remarked earlier that ToyBiz and Hasbro have different things they excelled at, this was one of the elements to which I was alluding. ToyBiz did a great job of making many figs look unique. The figs often featured molding that was costume-specific to characters and the details were sculpted on rather than painted. Hasbro has done a great job (post relaunch) with consistent joint articulation and greater body symmetry (among other improvements), but their sculpted costume work needs to be stepped up a bit.

With Gamora, I prefer the 'space bikini, it represents my favorite run of GotG (abnett & lanning). That said, I'm not sure Hasbro will do that particular costume justice. While Hasbro was able to get away with a form fitting painted-on costume with Satana (that is generally how her costume looks), I'm not sure that the same technique will work with Gamora. That costume is trickier than one might think with boots and gloves that need sculpting, the placement of various skulls, and a hooded cape that could easily get botched (hood up? hood down? - potential nightmare). Hasbro implements some molded costume elements well, but that extra effort seems to be reserved for Cap ('Now' and all movie renditions) - Ironman - Thor - and some outliers like Black Cat/Ghost. Gamora's Bendis armor has grown on me and I'm thinking that making that version would ensure that they give her a respectable level of molded detail...

I'm definitely going to do a second custom Polaris but i have considered ordering one as well. I ideally want it to be so much better than I think I could ever do it. She's one of my favorite characters so it's really annoying she's not been made yet. Aside from the fact that she and Swordsmans are, I believe, the only two Marvel heroes from the 60's that have yet to see a ML figure. It's really about time *sigh*

Well picked up Hulk and Iron man since target had a sale, the Iron man is just a repaint? correct?

Phantomcrow 04-02-2015 10:20 AM

The comment about Walgreens seems to be that the Daredevil ML will be a single figure like Agent Venom and that there will be a new Star Wars Black 6in figure offered again as well. If it is going to be a single figure it needs to be Armored Daredevil.

Two figures. Last year was Agent Venom and White Boba Fett.

This is confirmation of one Star Wars and one Marvel figure again this year. Presumably the Daredevil listing that turned up recently will be the Marvel one.

IIRC its the Mark 43 repainted but the open head is new

TomsToyChest 04-02-2015 03:17 PM

I paid a visit to a Disney Store ... first time I'd been in one since the last Tron movie was out in theaters ... and bought their new Marvel Select Thor exclusive.

http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/...pssdtcuip7.jpg

They had 5 available in stock but 4 out of the 5 had crappy paint apps in the left eye area, making him look like he was almost blind in one eye.

I also saw the new Marvel Select Hawkeye figure. I passed on it as it didn't look all that appealing to me.
