The book is a repaint of the book that comes with gray Beast, which comes with a pre-molded indentation so that Beast can hold it easily. You didn't dent it from having someone hold it. Presumably Doctor Doom's books will have this indentation too.

I'm trying to kitbash/customize a Sabretooth. Does anyone know which other figures have the same or similar hands as the ones on the last Sabretooth release? All other claw hands I've found are too small (Puma) or too spindly (symbiotes) or too big (any BAF hands). I'm looking for those goldilocks hands...

Tiger Shark. Same size body, pretty sure they're the same hands?

Is it? Well that's good then because I've been trying to be really fragile with the book after that. I actually did not notice the indentation before I had him hold it, so that is why I thought him holding it caused it. Thanks.

Speaking of which, just waiting on some guards to complete my shelf (for now):

Seems like Tiger Shark has a different sculpt (no fingernails) but it would still be a good base for customization if I can't find the actual Sabretooth hands. Thank you!

Aren't the hands from Copperhead and/or Venom?

Big thanks to Starlord67 for hooking up a fellow collector with the Storm and Thunderbird set. Appreciate the time and effort he went through to pick it up and ship it. All 12 of Targets around me broke street date Wed-Sat.

If Cable goes on clearance for $13 like I’ve seen people post on FB then I’ll take 2 Cables.

Toy Bro has a new interview with the Marvel Legends team and one of my favorite moments was that the gang said more retro figures will be made for the X-Men, X-Force, and we may see purple-carded villain X-Men and Fox Kids animated series Iron Man Retro waves as well. I believe we're getting more Retro Fantastic Four figures to go with the upcoming Doctor Doom too. Figures that the crew want to see made include Generation X characters (Chamber and Mondo, and I believe Penance, were name-dropped), Blue Marvel, Amadeus Cho Hulk, America Chavez and more Reavers (Dwight mentioned Bonecrusher, though I believe he was referring to Bonebreaker). Toy Bro also mentioned he'd love to see them make a new '90s suit Speedball figure.

Neat, us there an old Speedball?

@Veronica Mars - I don't believe so. I think the question was which character(s) would the team like to see made into a first-time Marvel Legends character.

I just realized this is my 200th post. I promised to make at least one of my next 200 posts actually interesting. ;)

I definitely want a fully translucent Sue, but considering that there could be some difficulty in delivering multiple FF core-member line-ups, I could also picture her coming within a wave, just to fill out different looks.

This got me thinking back to one of the earlier Hasbro livestreams, Ryan Ting did have a ToyBiz Clear Susan Storm sitting with an at the time random Toybiz Spidey, Gambit, and Rogue on his back shelf. Knowing what we know now about Spidey having his own retro line and Gambit & Rogue having upcoming retro releases, maybe we'll be getting that translucent Sue sooner than we thought.

The Legends team has been doing a lot of interviews for NYCC with Boog, Unparalleled Universe and a few other toy collecting channels.

Most relevant bits:

- There are still more unrevealed figures left for the year and there will be more Marvel Mondays.

- They admitted the product flow this year has been crazy because of the COVID situation (I'm guessing the movie delays meant a lot of stuff got pushed forward), but they said they know most people have budgets and so they generally try to pace fans throughout the year rather than releasing everything at once.

- Galactus, the Blackbird and Ghost Rider's Hell Charger car were some of the other potential ideas, and Dwight says he plans to resubmit Galactus when for the next Marvel HasLab project. They also did measurements for what a correctly scaled Blackbird would be, and said it'd be close to 7 feet (he compared it to the old U.S.S. Flagg toy from GI Joe) and thus is kind of unlikely due to how expensive it'd be.

- They still plan to hold off on releasing any products for the upcoming MCU films until they're actually ready to release. They don't anticipate another awkward Black Widow situation where the toys are on shelves months before the movie is out.

- They reconfirmed yes they're making figures for WandaVision and The Falcon & Winter Soldier, and should be ready around the time the shows are out.

- The first classic female character with double jointed pinless elbows should be coming sometime next year.

- There's an additional figure they wanted to tease during the PulseCon stream after Firestar that they'll be revealing later this year.

- Ryan says more Retro stuff is coming in a big way. He talked about future ideas he has for the line and mentioned both the Iron Man animated series toyline (which Dan has hinted at before; it seems very likely it's coming) and one inspired by the purple "Evil Mutants" packaging ToyBiz used to do for the X-Men villains.

- When it was brought up that the G.I. Joe: Classified and Power Rangers: Lightning Collection figures sometimes have more accessories and unique articulation and sculpting than Legends, Dwight said that's because those teams are able to work with a higher budget due to not having to pay royalties to Disney.

- They pretty much confirmed there are plans to repaint the Gamerverse Joe Fixit body with a new comic-based head down the line. It was also mentioned they'll likely use that body for other characters of a similar size (so probably Mister Hyde at some point).

- When discussing the all-new sculpt for Kang, they confirmed there are some upcoming new villains that haven't been revealed yet that'll also get new bodies.

- The House of X wave is 100 percent based on the Hickman run and won't be including X-Men characters from other eras/runs. The previously announced figures in that wave will also have some accessories that weren't revealed at PulseCon.

- They were asked about the possibility of some Sam Raimi Spider-Man figures. They said they're interested but due to a lot of contractual stuff and how much time has passed, it'll be difficult. However, they pointed out the same thing was also true of the recent X-Men movie figures, so fans should remain hopeful.

- Dwight said it's likely they'll do more Hellfire Club members in the future, especially now that they have the Victorian male body. He specifically mentioned Mastermind and Harry Leland, though the latter would obviously need a new sculpt.

- They were each asked which new, never-been-done characters they'd like to see in Legends in the coming years. Dan said Blue Marvel, Miss America Chavez and Amadeus Cho, Ryan said Generation X (he specifically mentioned Mondo and Chamber) and the New X-Men kids like Surge, and Dwight said he wants Bonecrusher and more Reavers.

@redfox - Is it just me, or is that a animated series Iron Man figure hidden behind the Fantastic Four invisible version figure of Invisible Woman? I think I'm seeing the red and yellow of Iron Man's armor behind her toy box.

Hard to tell, but it actually reminds me of the Toybiz X-men movie packaging with the red X design in the corner. Sub sequentially another set of releases we got this year, too.

StuartGreen2019 10-07-2020 07:56 PM

@redfox -- Oooh, I hadn't thought of that! That'd be a great way to release new FoX-Men figures! I know I'm repeating myself, but I do hope that Logan, Magneto, Xavier and Mystique aren't the only FoX-Men figures that Hasbro makes. I'd love to see new 6-inch figures of the original trilogy versions of characters like Wolverine, Magneto, Storm, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Rogue, Deathstrike, Beast, Colossus and Shadowcat.

Throwing more fuel to the fire of speculation, Rektangular teased this image on his Instagram regarding his next video "full of Marvel Legends information":
