I'm really crossing my fingers for Blue Marvel. He's high up on my list and I know he is on yours!

Yeah man, I'm trying to temper my excitement about a Blue Marvel fig finally materializing. I'll believe it when I see it...

The Warriors on the other hand were confirmed the moment Thrash appeared. I cannot wait for Namorita and Nova (in his Warrior specific duds)...and...of course, Marvel Boy/Justice/Vance Astrovik/Vance Astro/Major Victory! Haha!

Also, I think that Angelica fig IS meant to be Firestar's Warriors uni...

LOL yup, she was a slight head scratcher, but the popularity of the book explained her appearance, if not entirely the extra pack-in. However, Hasbro wins some points for rolling the dice and breaking from the tradition doubling up on Cap, Wolverine, Stark, and Bats...

Hopefully a figure of the Whizzer isn’t too far behind. ;)

TheBlueMarvel 10-08-2020 07:18 PM

Ha! SMH Yes, and the Whizzer, Nite, and the Whizzer...

Sabretooth isn't 6'11, hes 6'6 why on earth would they put him on the Omega Red Buck?? The Thunderstrike buck is perfect for classic Sabretooth, just add new lower legs.

After watching a few of these recent interviews, it's clear to me that the upcoming X-Men wave isn't based on the entire Dawn of X, persay, but explicitly just House of X/Powers of X. They even said it was specifically based around characters from just the first 10 issues, of what was a 12-part series. That rules out Captain Britain Betsy, makes Apocalypse very unlikely, and almost certainly disqualifies Armor and Exodus too. I would say the whole cast from the cover of House of X #1 is a lock, which would add Jean, Cyclops, and Wolverine to the figures we've already seen, which probably just leaves one more figure and the BAF. I think Storm's probably most likely, but Cypher, Destiny, and Karima all seem like distinct possibilities. They could even delve into a character or two from life #9/year 100. The BAF is what leaves me so baffled, especially considering their comment that it would go well with the Haslab sentinel. The only thing that seems to fit is the weird, spindly three-headed sentinel, but what a throw-away design that was.

hasbroherofan 10-08-2020 07:41 PM

Oooh. Sabretooth on the Omega Red buck. I'd be down for that.

No Captain Britain Betsy, but what about the first costume she wore after rebuilding her original body? Although if they have gone back to only 1 female character per wave Moira eliminates the possibility of Jean, Storm or Betsy

Silk arrived today. Overall, she's a pretty great release and all of the extra accessories definitely help push her over the top. Had the original release of Cindy, but mine had horribly misaligned paint on the face so I'm really glad to get another shot at her for a decent price.

Yeah, they're awful above shipping in a timely manner. It took them 3 weeks to ship my Gwen Stacy

IMO the white pops more than the dark gray on the shelf, so I prefer the white version. I was watching a review and it is weird that the heads are not interchangable though... I think the new head fits loose on the old body. And I think the Silk wave is the only wave that I have never even seen a single figure from that wave at retail ever.

Hasbro has shipped out 1 of my Hellfire Club Guards. Yep, you read that right, uno. Da faq?

Yeah Pulse for some reason is really dropping the ball on shipping items right now and their customer service is pretty much ghosted.

The thing I don't get is this is costing them money to ship them out 1 figure at a time.

Agreed, cracks me up to get 1 box for each individual figure, beats Amazon though sending it out by slapping on a SIOC sticker on the actual figure box haha...

That seems to be the standard too I ordered the whole first GI Joe wave from them and they shipped every figure individually

Exodus 10-08-2020 10:20 PM

Forgot to add Pulse's ordering page too, at first I thought it was ok, until the multiple single orders yeesh....Yeah I think I'm going to ask for a refund for the pulse premium membership once they've opened up the customer service again...

I'd love a figure of that version of Betsy, but she didn't appear in House or Powers of X at all. She didn't arrive on Krakoa until Excalibur #1. I don't know about any one-lady policy (I see the trend, but hope and believe it's not a mandated hard limit), but I'd bet money Jean's in this wave, and I think Storm has a solid shot too (although Storm has gotten a lot of love lately, so I could see them skipping her this time around). Destiny is who I really want, though. Other characters with some amount of prominence in House/Powers in looks we don't already have figures for include Emma Frost, Husk, M/Mplate, and Sabretooth. Other than those and the aforementioned (including possible life #9 characters), I'm not really sure there are many options that fit the criteria.

Ah, I didn't read House or Powers of X, I started with the first issues of the individual series and I don't even read all of those, which of course has made my life difficult with The X of Swords starting

I know it's over a year old now but wasn't the Kingpin wave proof that they can do more than one woman in a wave, or more recently in the Black Widow wave, or the F4 wave. Obviously we get way more guys in the line but that's to be expected given the pool they're drawing from.

Another Rektangular info dump!

https://youtu.be/VOUxGXEjGsg

Key takeaways:

- J. Jonah Jameson and Firestar will be retro carded figures. Firestar comes with Ms. Lion

- We're supposed to get another Bullseye. No word on whether it's male Bullseye or Lady Bullseye, but they'll be retro carded (my hunch is it's gonna be male Bullseye for this reason, as Lady Bullseye is a fairly modern character)

- 2 7-figure Spider-Man waves for next year

- 2 7-figure Avengers waves. Neither are the Joe Fix-It wave.

- There may or may not be another 7 figure X-Men wave assortment. Unknown if this is the upcoming House/Powers of X wave with an extra new figure added onto the initial assortment or something more standard

- A 7 figure comic-based wave with an unknown theme, and another 7 figure wave simply branded as "Classic"

- 3 Deluxe figures, one assumed to be the Classic Thanos we just saw

- Fantastic Four retro-carded wave as pretty much everyone previously speculated

Rektangular counted 79 figures leaked for next year in total so far

MeLikeJinx 10-09-2020 01:42 AM

^ Damn. Don't see Banshee or Shadowcat or Excalibur or Longshot fitting in that info dump. Plus there is that Villains only wave too.
