Pretty sure the F4/Black Widow Waves (they hit around the same time here) were the last waves with two female characters, every wave since has had one female character

I would love a better Phoenix! My Storm & T-Bird came today, and while I was messing with them on my shelf, it occurred to me how much I dislike the Juggernaut wave Phoenix. The proportions are off, her balance is wack, and I absolutely hate the head sculpt. One like your profile picture would be ideal.

By the same token, man do Storm & T-Bird make me want the rest of the seventies crew. For me, that would mean Banshee, Angel, Beast, Havok, Marvel Girl, Professor X (wheelchair), Shi'Ar Polaris, and a classic Ariel/ Sprite Kitty Pryde (technically eighties, I know).

Dang kids and their pranks.

Target has toy offers with their Target Circle app. $10 off $50 and $25 off $100. Works in store, on online orders, and on preorders. Ends today.

I saw Wolverine in store yesterday... as much as I'm dying to get him, I do not understand the choice to dirty/scuff up the jacket. I wonder if that would be removable with acetone? I'd rather throw a wash on the whole thing.

Yea that wash looks good on the pants but just looks like smears on the jacket. The best part of that figure IMO are those fantastic hands/claws. Do those work with the Love triangle 3 pack Wolverine?

Boy Blunder 10-09-2020 08:16 AM

Damn, wish I'd known about the Target coupon during the shopping trip last night - would've grabbed a Sky Lynx.

They did have a few of the new X-Men movie figures, but other than Domino (who my wife already picked up for me) they all looked... eh. Even Negasonic, who I was looking forward to, fell flat seeing her in-person. Oh well, money saved I suppose.

Its the bird poop variant.

:D I would have preferred a snowy "Just got thrown through a windshield since I'm not wearing a seatbelt, because I can't die, and am about to get my ass handed to me by Sabretooth" version.

My guess is Banshee will be in a 2 pack with Siryn as an Amazon exclusive or something. Either way, I hope he is revealed sooner rather than later.

What is this Target coupon everyone is going on about? Is it really $10 off $50 or more? If so, I might be willing to buy the Prof X/Mag movie pack for $40. Though, I will still sell off Magneto. What is the DCPI?

Oh, Amazon just extended my free trial of Prime for another 30 days. What do you think the chances are of the Nimrod pack going on sale on Prime day is?

Hulkwummy 10-09-2020 10:47 AM

When is New York Comic Con going to reveal some more new Marvel Legends Figures?

I didn't know NYCC was happening.

Veronica Mars 10-09-2020 11:40 AM

It would be happening now or sometime this month, but due to 2020 it was cancelled, that's why the Legends is doing interviews with YouTubers this week

I feel like it's actually likely, even if it's not anything more than a 20% discount. Last year the Alpha Flight set was on sale for Black Friday and it hadn't even been out for a full month, by comparison the Nimrod set is already over a month old.

Veronica Mars 10-09-2020 01:16 PM

The secondary market price on the black haired Psylocke vexes me

Hey, 20% off works for me since I plan to just sell off Psylocke and Fantomex anyway. Assuming anyone wants them by now.

@SymbiSpidey In regards to the rektangular news:

- I love that we're getting Retro carded Spider-Man figures of J. Jonah Jameson and Firestar. I just wish Firestar didn't have the collar so she could be in her full classic "Amazing Friends" costume. I know that I've already said I'd love a bendable wire tentacles John Romita Sr. version of Doctor Octopus on the Retro card (hint, hint, please Hasbro?), but I would also really, REALLY love to see a classic Sandman on the Retro card too. It'd be a perfect way to see Sandman on the old Toy Biz "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" packaging, since he wasn't allowed to appear on the Fox Kids TV series (then again, neither was Electro until Season 5 and even then they made him a lame made-for-TV character who was the Russian son of the Red Skull, but I digress...).

- Rektangular said Bullseye may also be a code-name.

- I'm thrilled that we're getting two 7-figure Spider-Man waves and two 7-figure Avengers waves next year. I do hope we get the Chameleon, classic Shocker, Tigra, Safari Jacket Wonder Man, red-and-black classic costume Wasp, a scaly-chainmail Captain America with brighter suit colors with a smiling alternate Cap head, and Ultron as figures somewhere in 2021, and I know a lot of Spidey fans want to see them finally make figures for Morlun and Mr. Negative.

- You just know there's going to be more X-Men that the known 7-figure House of X/Powers of X wave. It's the X-Men. I'm sure we'll get at least two 7-figure waves for Marvel's merry mutants in 2021.

- I assume (repeat, ASSUME) the 7-figure unknown wave is Bring On The Bad Guys. I have no idea what the Classic wave will be. (Maybe Retro Iron Man?) Whatever it is, I'll be looking forward to it! I'd love to see more classic Toy Biz Marvel Super Heroes figures and more Retro figures for the X-Men, Spider-Man and all the major toylines from the 1990s. I love anything Marvel from the Golden Age up until the early 2000s. After that, everything else fell flat for me.

- I'm curious to see which six figures make the cut for the Retro Fantastic Four toyline. I do hope they make an invisible figure AND a visible figure for the Invisible Woman instead of one or the other. The same goes for hoping we get a Johnny Storm and a Human Torch figure, hopefully not translucent, as well. Also, can we get a Yancy Street street sign accessory for the Thing, please?

- It's curious he didn't mention an update on the rumored Walgreens exclusive U.S. Agent or the Legendary Riders Hawkeye. Were those rumors false or will they be released in 2021 instead?

- So rektangular counted 79 known figures for 2021. I'm sure that we'll get more leaked waves/news of more 2021 products around early 2021, maybe around February or April. Hasbro's done a wonderful job with their Marvel Legends figures this year, and if 2021 is as good or better than this year, my wallet is going to kill me.

What do you guys think?

Dr Kain 10-09-2020 01:50 PM

Wait, so was Jameson officially revealed?

StuartGreen2019 10-09-2020 01:53 PM

@Dr Kain - Not revealed as in official photos released, but according to Rektangular, yes, J. Jonah Jameson will be a Retro-carded Spider-Man figure, like the new Fan Channel Black Cat. I assume we'll see Jameson show up in the next few weeks if this is true.

Veronica Mars 10-09-2020 01:55 PM

I was expecting him to be the Marvel Monday for November.

Has anyone had any luck finding the DPCI for Rogue and Gambit

Captain Nash 10-09-2020 02:20 PM

So probably not wave but likely sets of AoA - I guess if they kept it to a bare minimum it could be a Rogue/Magneto 2 pack w/ a retro or Deluxe Sabretooth but those are three absolute musts to consider the AoA chapter of Legends closed. Hoping for more of course.

StuartGreen2019 10-09-2020 02:27 PM

@Captain Nash - Well, in one of the YouTube interviews from this week, the Marvel Legends team did say they may re-visit "Age of Apocalypse" since there were a lot of characters left to make figures of and two-packs were considered as an option. I have a feeling we might at least see characters like Rogue, Magneto, Cyclops, Sabretooth and so on made into new figures at some point in 2021.

Mimicboy 10-09-2020 02:34 PM

A big thanks to you all who have posted the info from all of these new interviews! I had no idea these had even happened and they are full of awesome tidbits!

About the Hox/PoX wave:
I really hope this wave goes back to giving us 2 females (at least!). We haven't seen 2 females in a wave in a while but they have been done it before and this one really needs it. My guesses now for who round out this wave are Cyclops, Wolverine, Marvel Girl (still holding out hope due to her postion in the marketing and story, and would prefer Marvel Girl to Storm), and if they have 7 then hopefully Cypher, as I doubt despite my wish that we will ever get a wave with 3 females. I really hope they skip Rasputin and Cardinal! I think this wave is already going to be a tough sell to people due to it being focused solely on this story that including these original characters I think just makes it harder. With the tease that the BAF goes well with the Haslab Sentinel, my guess is it has to be the tri-sentinal or Omega Sentinal (which would be cool but if we have a 2 female limit then I guess that would mean a Marvel Girl is unlikely) Again, this wave so needs more than 2 females. Moria X, Marvel Girl, Storm, Omega Sentinal, M, Husk, and Destiny would all make an awesome HoX wave on their own.

I am super excited for the possibility of getting a retro Evil Mutants wave! This makes me so giddy. We all have given so many good suggestions over the last couple weeks for more X-men villians and I love them all. This could be a great wave to finally get an Exodus since the HoX wave seems unlikely. Also a new Deathstrike or Spiral and all our most wanted Brotherhood members. Ah, I want this the most now!

So much good stuff to look forward to coming up. Love hearing they intend to keep touching back on MCU stuff they havent gotten to yet. I'm also glad to hear the Disney + shows are getting figures! Not sure what I would actually want from a Wandavision line but I do love me some Scarlet Witch and I hope the series ends with a new definative MCU look for her. I also will need my first Winter Soilder figure. I have never wanted one before but I enjoy the very sharp looking new design for Bucky with his cropped hair and clean shaven face.

Veronica Mars 10-09-2020 02:35 PM

My flight stands from Hasbro arrived. I'm pretty impressed with the quality compared to the price, the only negative is they take up a lot of space on the shelf
